Chapter 15 (DON’T FALL IN TO TRAP)

Three hours later, Belle returned home looking so exhausted. She threw herself on the sofa and gasped deeply.

“Welcome home,” Emily smiled. “Why are you smiling? You look so happy.” She said to Emily Surprisingly. “Guess what?” she asked sitting down. “Harry came right?”

“Hey you got it right.” She giggled. “And why are you happy? What did he said to you?” Belle asked sitting upright. “He told me he loves me and he even brought a,” Belle interrupted her.

“Are you kidding me? And you want to fall for it?” She was surprised. “Fall for what?” Emily asked her. “Fall for the fake love. Don’t you think Harry is doing this just so he could get Jeff?”

“Of course not, he has been giving me the signals even when I was pregnant. I was the one that didn’t see it,” she smiled. “Harry doesn’t looks like he’s interested in you. Aren’t you the one that told me he doesn’t want to marry?” Belle was confused.

“Yes but he already changed his mind. It was because he haven’t found the girl he loves but now that he found me, he want to get married,” she said smiling.

“I can’t believe you are falling for this. Why didn’t he tell you that when you were still carrying the baby? Why did he tell you now? Was he even the one that said it with his mouth?” Belle asked. “No, Ron said that. But it was in front of him and his face showed it.”

“Can you just hear yourself? Harry wasn’t the one that confessed to you, it was his Assistant and you took it seriously. You are even happy that he’s going to marry you.” Belle shook her head.

“Emily, you are so smart. Please use your brain, do not fall in to a trap you can never come out of.” She stood up from the sofa and picked up her bag.

“Thank you for reminding me of my smartness, Harry loves me and I’m sure you’ll see it too.” Belle didn’t say a word again, she went to her room so Disappointed in Emily. She never thought Emily could one day fell in to Harry’s trap.

“I have to tell her that Harry is doing this to get his child.” She wanted to go out of the room again but paused. “What’s the use, she won’t even listen to me. Oh Emily, you’ve suffered enough. I want you to be happy now,” she sighed deeply.

Emily returned back to her room, she sat on the bed and gasped.

“Belle doesn’t want to support me. Does this mean she doesn’t want me to be happy after all the suffering I went through? This isn’t what I expected from her.” She opened the drawer fixed in the side bed and brought out the contract.

“I’m glad I didn’t even tell her about the contract, she would have screamed on me.” She flipped the pages. “I’ll sign this and hand it over to Harry by tomorrow. What’s my use if I don’t agree to his love? Even if I don’t love him, I’ll have to accept this because of Jeff and to put my step mum and Tina in shame.” She smiled Mischievously.

“Step Mum and Tina would hate me the most but they won’t bully me again,” she said excitedly. “Let’s go through this.” She started reading the contract but her mind wasn’t in it at all.

“Why did you say that to her? She would think I’m in love with her.” Harry scoffed. “I’m sorry Boss. But if we want her to sign the contract, she should think you love her,” Harry sighed.

“I don’t love her and I don’t want her to get hurt when she finds out I don’t love her. Emily will sign the contract even if you didn’t say that to her,” he said.

“You are wrong, Boss. She might want to sign it but she won’t. She’ll think you are doing that just to get Jeff from her. But since I’ve told her you love her and you didn’t argue with me, she would believe you truly love her and she won’t have a doubt about the contract.”

“I think you are right,” Harry nodded his head. “So you have to pretend you are in love with her so that she would agree to the marriage and bring Jeff back to you.” Ron advised.

“I love the way you think. Why didn’t I come up with this idea? You deserve an accolade.” Harry relaxed his back on the chair and spin it.

“The gift I bought for them, did you give her?” he asked. “Oh no, I forgot. We’ll give it to them tomorrow,” Ron said. “That sounds great. What’s the time?” he asked.

It was already time for the company meeting and he left the office to the meeting hall. All the employees from each department were already there waiting fir him and as soon as he entered, the meeting began.

As soon as the meeting was over, Harry left the company. He went home but the house was empty. His Mum and Grandma weren’t at home. They don’t work and so, he was surprised.

“Where did they go to?” he asked the maid serving him a glass of red wine. “I don’t know, sir. She left in a hurry with Grandma.” She poured him the wine and left.

“In a hurry? I wonder where they went to,” Harry sighed. He put down the cup on a table and relaxed his head. Since he was growing up, he always returned home to find his Mum either in the kitchen or the living room.

He always felt so lonely whenever he came back home and didn’t see her around.

“I wonder where Grandma took her to.” He left the sitting room to his room to take a nap before she returns. Harry fell asleep and he didn’t know when his Mum came home.
