The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 18 (PRETEND I DON’T EXIST)
Chapter 18
“Emily, it’s your life. You can do whatever you want with this but I want you to get this in to your head. Do not come back to me when things go wrong, do not even call me. Just pretend I don’t exist.” Belle walked past her angrily.
“I would never regret my decision and things will go well for me!” she shouted at her. “I don’t care!” Belle banged the door angrily. “What da! I didn’t expect this from Belle of all people. I thought she would be happy for me.”
Emily was so angry that she didn’t even know Jeff was crying until Belle had left. She picked up her own bag from the floor and left for the room leaving the gift for Belle.
She carried him up from the bed and sat down.
“I’m moving out of this place tomorrow!” She picked up her phone from the take and sent a message to Harry. “It’s okay dear, don’t cry.”
Harry was lying on the bed playing some games in his phone when her message entered. He was surprised to receive a message from her not until he tapped on it.
“What!” He sat upright. “This girl must be out of it. Why would she tell me she would be moving in to my place tomorrow? That’s not what I told Ron to say to her.” He entered the phone contacts and dialed Ron’s number. Just then, Ron entered the room.
“Ron, what did you tell her?” He dropped the phone “I delivered your message.” Ron was confused. “Read this.” He gave him the phone and Ron read the message. “I didn’t tell her tomorrow.” He was surprised.
“She can’t move here tomorrow, I’m not even ready to welcome her.” “But Boss, you can welcome your child,” Ron said and Harry raised a brow. “You are right. I know what to do.” He left the room leaving Ron there.
“What’s wrong with that girl, can’t she at least show some respect for herself?” He exhaled and shook his head. “I thought she was a responsible girl.”
“What’s wrong?” Harry met his mum on the stairs. “That girl would be moving here tomorrow,” he said and she raised a brow. “You mean Emily?” she asked. “Yes Mum,” Harry sighed.
“And where are you going?” “To the maid’s quarters. That’s where she will be living. She can’t stay in any of the rooms there.” He pointed upstairs. “Of course she can’t. You know what, just leave everything in my hands. You said tomorrow right?” she asked again.
“Yes.” His Mum smiled. “Everything will go perfectly. Your Grandma will be traveling first thing in the morning and she won’t return now, she’ll spend a month with my sister. I’ll take care of this.”
“Tell Ron to go pick her up by 12pm, your Grandma would have left by then.” Harry hugged her, he was so glad he has a mum who was so smart and helpful.
Harry we t back to the room smiling happily that even Ron was surprised. He sat down on the bed and turned to Ron.
“You’ll go pick her up by 12pm tomorrow.” He instructed him. “Yes Boss.” Ron left the room. “Yes! I’ll finally see my boy.” He looked at his phone and replied back to Emily’s message.
’ start getting your things ready, Ron would come pick you up by Noon'
He lay down looking at the ceiling and heaved a sigh of relief.
“I thought this was going to be very tough but I was wrong.” A smile escaped his lip. “You don’t know what you are getting yourself in to. I don’t care whatever mum would do to her, I only want Jeff.”
“Grandma, are you traveling?” Harry pretended he didn’t know the next day as the maids were taking her bags outside. “Yes, I’m glad I would be leaving this house for months.” She rolled her eyes. “Oh Grandma, I’ll miss you a lot.” He winked at her.
“Harry, I don’t trust you. Whatever it is you are happy about, I don’t care. I’ll return and see it for my self.” She turned to Harry’s Mum. “And you, it’s better you don’t help Harry in doing something bad if not…” She bit her lip smiling evily. “I heard you,” Mum smiled.
“Where’s the driver?” Harry asked immediately they all stepped out of the living room. “Make sure to drive her safely to the airport.” He instructed the driver. “Yes Boss.” Harry opened the door for Grandma and she entered. “Bye.” They all waved to her.
“Yes!” He smiled excitedly. “I can finally breath fresh air for months before she returns,” Harry sighed. “Not only you.” His mum said and they laughed. Mum, Harry and Ron were the only people happy that Grandma was finally out of the house.
Other than that, the maids were so sad. They loved it whenever she was at home because Harry’s Mum always made their life hard. They worked every time of the day and only got to sleep late at night.
Fast forward to Noon, Ron left the house to go get Emily while the maids were instructed to clean and decorate the room for the guests.
Emily brought another bag out from her room and dropped it on the floor in the living room. She counted them all and they were six in numbers. Three for her and three for Jeff. The only thing remaining was her mini bag if not, everything was already packed inside the bags.
She looked at Belle who was watching a movie on the television and hissed. Emily retuned back to the room. She sat on the bed waiting for Ron to come pick her up.
