The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 66 (NOT ATTRACTIVE AGAIN)
Chapter 66
“Have you heard from Ma’am Evelyn today?” He asked. “No, I’ve been trying to call her but she isn’t answering my call,” he said and Ron nodded his head.
“Why do you ask?” Harry asked him. “I…” He was interrupted by the doctor who just entered the room.
“How are you feeling now, Mr. Harry?” The doctor asked with a smile all over his face. “Good.” He answered. “That’s good. You can go home now, and please be sure to always take your medication.” He handed over an envelope bag to the Assistant and left the room.
“Can you walk?” Ron asked him. “Yes, thanks to you,” he said. Harry stood up, he grabbed the crouches given to him and limped out of the room.
“I can’t believe I’m the one walking like this.” He shook his head. “No one will find me attractive again.” He looked at Ron who was walking behind him. “Thanks to you.” Harry went out of the hospital to where the car was parked. As he was about to enter the car, he looked at Ron again.
“Now no one will find me attractive, even Emily.” He put the crouches inside the car and Ron closed the door. Ron sighed and drove them out of the hospital.
“You’ve been looking outside for quite some time now. What’s wrong?” Joey passed her a tissue box. “I saw someone looking through the window.” Evelyn picked out one tissue and gave her the box.
“Someone, who?” she took the box from her. “I don’t know, the person moved away when I turned. I didn’t see the face very well. Did anyone followed you?” she asked.
“I don’t think so. But if someone did, that’s not a new thing,” Evelyn giggled. Joey was right. Among them all, Joey was the one with a little stature and young boys mistook her for a young lady and always followed her around.
“I thought after giving birth 20 years ago, I’ll add some weight but no. I’m getting younger instead of getting older,” she sighed. “You should be proud of yourself. If I’m the one with your body, I’ll flaunt it like never before.”
“Yea I know. And I’m sure you’ll use it in a bad way,” Evelyn laughed for that remark. “When is your daughter coming back?” she asked Joey. “She said next month,” Evelyn nodded her head.
“I’ll be out of your house before then. And your husband?” she asked again. “Not in the country,” Joey said. She deliberately made her husband leave the city ever since Evelyn started going to get house. Because she didn’t want to hear any story that touches the heart at the end.
“Okay.” Evelyn didn’t say anything again after that and they both became silent, deep in to their own thoughts. Minutes later, Joey broke the silence.
“Oh your phone.” She reached for her bag and brought out Evelyn’s phone. “Harry has been calling.” Evelyn took the phone from her. “Oh poor boy.” She dialed his number but he didn’t pick up.
“He might be at work.” She dropped the phone on the bed hoping Harry would call her when he sees the missed call.
Emily watched them entered the house. She was sitting on the sofa looking at Harry. Ron helped him sat on another sofa and took the couches from him.
“You see what you did to me?” Harry said to her. Emily didn’t know what to say and she only stared at him. “Miss. Emily.” Ron cleared his throat. “What?” she said to him. “The Boss is talking to you.” He said and Emily rolled her eyes.
“I’m not deaf.” She looked at Harry. “If you didn’t hold me, I wouldn’t have pushed you,” she smirked. “Is that what you’ll say after what you did?” he chuckled. “What do you want me to say?” she asked him.
“You should apologize.” Ron whispered to her. “No, I won’t,” she snapped at him. “Emily!” Harry yelled her name Surprisingly. “Don’t you have sympathy? Do you even know the amount of pains I’m in now? I can’t even walk properly.”
“Stop yelling at me.” She stood up. “I don’t believe you can’t walk properly.” She moved closer to him smiling Mischievously. “What are you trying to do?” he asked her. “I want to confirm.” She said.
“But you saw me tumbling down the stairs. What else do you want to see?” he asked moving his leg away from where she was standing. “Come on, there’s nothing you and Ron can’t do. I just want to be sure if the fall isn’t one of your plans.” She said.
“What… Ahhhh,” Harry screamed as Emily kicked his casted leg. “Miss Emily!” Ron ran to them and grabbed her hand. “Oh God!” he blocked her way from him. “This girl is a monster, take her away from me,” Harry said in pains.
“I only wanted to be sure,” Emily said worriedly. “Take her away!” Harry commended Ron and he grabbed her hand. “Watch your steps of she’ll push you down the stairs,” he warned Ron. “Miss Emily, please go. I can’t walk on the stairs with you, I’m afraid you’ll push me too.”
“I’ll just say…” “Go!” Harry pointed upstairs. Emily sighed, she went to her room and closed the door with a sound.
“Don’t allow her to come near me again,” he said to Ron. “Ouch my leg.” He held his leg. “Sorry Boss.”
“Help me to my room and make sure you don’t allow her to enter my room.” Ron helped him get up from the sofa and took his to his room.
When he came out from Harry’s room, he went to Emily’s and knocked on the door. Emily opened the door looking so sad.
