Chapter 38.

~FREDERICK~

The two weeks that followed, Blair's company got the same profit, making a total of three billion dollars in three weeks.

And as expected, she was ranked the number one oil bank with the highest profit in the whole country.

What a great achievement.

Since she left the house, I hadn't seen anything in the news about her,

And now, the news came up this morning, making me so proud of her.

I love her spirit,

She didn't let the whole thing that happened weigh her down.

After she left weeks ago, I thought she was going to return all the things I had given her, especially the company just like her Mum said, but she didn't.

“Mr. Frederick, congratulations on this great achievement.”

Blair’s assistant said, smiling.

“You should congratulate Blair instead, it is her company and she was the one who worked hard for it.”

He bobbed his head.

“I have done that already, sir.”

Really?

How?

Is he still working with her?

“Since she left, I haven't left her side because I know she will need me.”

That's good.

“And Mr. Frederick?”

He gulped down the lump in his throat and stepped back.

What on earth does he want to say that makes him look this scared?

“I… since you still love her, why don't you go congratulate her? Maybe something good will happen.”

“Did I tell you I still love her?”

“Oh, no, sir, but it shows on your actions. You were smiling when you saw the news this morning,”

Scoffs.

“That was because she didn't bring down the company.”

“But ever since she left, you have been going home drunk. Isn't it because you…”

“Get out of here!”

I thundered and he staggered out.

This boy is turning something else.

But what he said is true.

I still love my little dove so much, and I want to bring her back.

But will she agree to return to my house?

Hmm.

Well, let’s give it a shot.

I picked up the telephone to call back the assistant into the office as he would be going with me to see Blair, but the idiot of my son barged into the office angrily.

“Dad?”

He called, shutting the door.

“I want that oil company.”

Uhn?

Which one?

The one I gave to Blair?

Or do I have another one I don't know about?

“I am the right person to own that company, not an outsider.”

“Language, kid! Blair isn't an outsider.”

His jaw dropped.

“Are you kidding me, Dad? Blair is no longer your wife.”

“Were you the one who divorced her for me?”

“But you sent her packing. Isn't that the end of your marriage?”

This boy is stupid.

“I don't even care about that. Just hand over the company to me, Dad.”

Well,

I proceeded to do what I was going to do before he interrupted.

“Mr. Frederick, you called.”

The assistant bowed his head.

“Get the car ready, we are going to the Reece mansion to see Blair.”

“Okay, sir. But…”

“Dad, are you kidding me right now?”

Harris gasped shockingly.

“But what?”

“She doesn't live there.”

Why?

Where does she live?”

“I will take you there, Sir. And rest assured, she is doing well over there.”

Okay, I hope so.

The moment I stood up to leave the office, Harris blocked my way.

“You can't go there, Dad.”

“If you don't get out of my way right now, you will regret what I will do to you.”

Since he wouldn't move out of my way, I shoved him aside and left the office.

No one can stop me from seeing Blair, not even Harris.

How dare he?

“Stop at the mart, let’s get her a gift.”

I ordered.

And when we arrived at the market a while later, I got her a bouquet of roses which are her favorite flowers.

And congratulations on the note placed on it.

“Will she be at home by this time of day? Shouldn't she be in the company?”

I asked as the thought struck me.

“No, sir. She has given everyone in the company a week’s break for their hard work, and also to celebrate our achievement.”

Oh, that is good.

She definitely has a business mindset.

After a while, we arrived at her location.

But I wasn't happy when I saw the house.

Why would my wife stay in a place such as this?

It is too dilapidated and doesn't suit her image.

This is all my fault for sending her away.

“I will go inform her.”

He bowed his head and hurried away.

The only thing that beautified the place was the cars in front of the apartment.

Phhh.

She will soon leave here.

Instead of knocking, he brought out his phone and dialed her number instead.

“Why aren't you knocking?”

I asked him and he scratched his head.

“She might be sleeping.”

Blair doesn't sleep when the sun is up,

A few seconds later, the door was unlocked and Blair opened the door.

When I saw her from where I stood, I couldn't help but admire her beauty.

She has gotten prettier and fleshy than when she left my house.

Wow!

He bowed to her, and when she gestured for him to go in, he turned around and pointed towards me.

A shock appeared on her face and her jaw dropped.

For a few seconds, we only stared at each other from where we both stood.

Then I made the first move.

She stepped onto the pouch, her eyes still fixed on mine emotionally.

“Congratulations, my little dove.”

Tears flowed down her cute face the moment I called her that.

I wanted to let them fall too, because I missed her so much, but I was able to control mine.

“You…came.”

She spoke in a trembling voice.

Then a smile appeared on her face and she fell into my embrace.

Gosh!

I missed that a lot,

I didn't even know I missed her touch so much until that moment.

“Yes, my little dove, I missed you so much.”

She lifted her teary face, smiling.

“I missed you too.”

Since I couldn't resist the temptation of her touch, I lifted her chin and kissed her on the lips.
