Chapter 17: Amusement Park III

“Hehe, brother… Wait wait, weren’t you looking for that limited edition wristwatch the last time we went to the beach? Haha, I now remember I kept it in my bag for safety,” Lucy muttered to him in an appealing manner with a wide fraudulent smile while scowling inside.

She remembered how he had bragged about that wristwatch and she decided to teach him a lesson by hiding it.

The look on his face was priceless when he couldn’t find it.

Zach was a little bit surprised. He had guessed that she was the one that took it but seeing the way she was helping him to look for the wristwatch that day, he dispelled that thought. ‘this naughty girl,’ he thought inside then ruffled her hair from behind and chuckled.

“Hehehe, little cat. I didn’t expect you to be so cunning. Stealing things from your big brother little thief.”

Lucy shook off his hand and smoothened her hair while pouting with an expression of someone who had been wronged. She couldn’t believe she was giving back the wristwatch to her obnoxious brother.

Carl ignored their bickering and continued driving. They arrived at the dessert shop that sold different kinds of expensive desserts ranging from cakes, candies, ice creams, and so many others.

When the three siblings entered the shop, the place instantly quieted down and everyone gawked at them astonishingly. The two men that looked so alike were very attractive with one being so charismatic and striding elegantly with a stoic expression and the other one looking carefree and cheekily smiling at the petite young girl beside him who was very lovely.

The three siblings were nonchalant to the look people were giving them and they sat at a far table in a corner where many people were not present. The shop’s attendant quickly ran to their table to take their orders.

Lucy ordered ice cream, cake, and cookies and Zach ordered the same.

The shop’s attendant was astonished wondering how they could finish all those desserts. Looking at the petite girl and the fine young man, he had never seen these kinds of customers before. And he turned towards Carl in a timid manner

“Sir, what would you like to order?” he asked respectfully obviously intimidated by the aura he was emanating.

Carl replied, “Coffee.” While staring at his phone.

A while later, their orders came and Zach and Lucy started devouring theirs while bickering from time to time, and Carl sipped his coffee unhurriedly while staring at his phone totally ignoring the two loud people in front of him.

“Brother, see. You’ve got ice cream all over your mouth. Hehehe, how childish,” Lucy remarked with a grin and Zach hastily took a tissue to wipe the corners of his mouth which he found clean and realized that he had been fooled by his naughty sister.

He turned to her furiously and was about to say something when his phone started ringing, and he scowled at her while she stuck out her tongue at him before he answered the call.

“Boss, she’s at the amusement park,” the person at the other end informed him.

Zach’s expression dimmed instantly and he said, “Okay, keep an eye on her.”

Lucy who was seated beside him snickered quietly. “Brother, are you still pursuing that mysterious girl? Haha, serves you right. It’s great that her type still exists, unlike those weirdos that follow you around all the time,” she turned to look at him and muttered happily before she continued gobbling the cake in front of her.

Zach was about to retort back when he suddenly paused and thought of something before changing his expression. And he grinned mischievously, apparently up to something.

Lucy looked at his expression and was slightly afraid and she said rapidly, “Brother, what are you up to? Hehe, I was just kidding, I didn’t mean all I said.”

Zach smiled and quickly glanced at his brother who was busy with his phone. Then he ruffled Lucy’s hair before whispering to her. “Hehe, Lucy. Didn’t you wanna go to the amusement park last time? Now is your chance, Big bro is obviously free today.”

Lucy’s eyes glimmered, apparently enticed by what her brother said and she nodded her head continuously before shifting to Carl’s side and held his arm impatiently.

“Big bro, let’s go to the amusement park. please please please,” she said while putting on a puppy-eye look.

Carl sighed and replied with an “Mm” after glaring at Zach. He had heard what he was whispering to her. He already knew the reason why his brother wanted to go to the amusement park and he sighed helplessly, wondering why his crazy brother couldn’t let go of her yet.

Lucy was very ecstatic when her big brother did not show any sign of objection. She instantly pulled him up and they headed out of the dessert shop while leaving Zach behind.

“Hey, wait for me. Big bro?” Zach said hastily and quickly paid the bills before sprinting after them.

— At the amusement Park —

Jack arrived with the girls and after paying for the tickets they went inside the amusement park.

Mira who was holding Lea in her arms said excitedly, “Come come come. Let’s go straight to the roller coaster.” She was obviously enthusiastic with anticipation all over her face. And she turned around to head in the roller coaster’s direction.

Clara was instantly bewildered. ‘No I can’t go to the roller coaster’ she thought anxiously with wide eyes while staring ahead at the roller coaster and the people that were wildly screaming on it.

She instantly grabbed the extremely energetic Mira back and shook her head rapidly. “Hehehe, Mira. See there is an ice cream stand there,” she said and quickly looked around and pointed at the ice cream stand she spotted from afar.

When the twins heard her, they jumped delightedly and both shouted concurrently

“We want ice cream auntie.”

“Ice cream… ice cream.”

Clara was instantly relieved and she held the kids ’water flasks while Jack carried Mia and took Lea from Mira before he said with a wide grin. ” Okay, kids. Let’s hurry and get the biggest ice cream there. ”

The kids giggled excitedly and they all headed towards the ice cream stand while Mira followed behind them, a little bit sad that she couldn’t get to ride the roller coaster.

She stopped in her footsteps and smiled naughtily. ‘Well it’s not like I can’t go there alone hehe,’ she thought happily and turned back, heading in the roller coaster’s direction while Clara and the rest were heading toward the ice cream stand completely oblivious.
