Return of the Alpha Heiress
Chapter 19: Twirling in Her Bloodstream
Chapter 19
Aria’s POV
As promised, Damien did sent over the document to my office.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t what I had expected it to be. I thought the content would contain all that I needed to know about an organisation such as the one I was aiming for, but it was something different.
Perhaps he must have mixed it up because the document in front of me was something he wouldn’t want anyone to see.
“You alright?”
Nina’s voice jolted me.
Quickly, I shut the document, and gave her a forced smile, praying deeply that she didn’t see anything written in there.
Deadly silence followed, then Nina stood up after a few seconds of getting bored.
“I need to go,”
“Already?”
“Yes. I’ve got a client waiting for me… will be back later.”
The moment she left, I locked the door, returned to my seat and flipped the document.
‘Call Damien and inform him he sent the wrong document, you shouldn’t be going through it.’
Liza panicked, but I wasn’t about to stop reading.
‘You aren’t doing what I said, this isn’t any business of yours.’
The moment Liza said that, I couldn’t helped but scoffed. Of course it was my business.
Someone was about to give out my pack’s secret information which I didn’t know about and Liza thought it wasn’t my business.
And to say that the person is Lana.
What on earth does Lana want?
Her mission is to ascend the Alpha position and take away all that belongs to us.
Lana is indeed an hypocrite.
If any of the brothers, especially Kael sees this, then she is done for. None of them will ever want anything to do with her. And interestingly, she will be banished from this pack.
“Lana’s secret is now in my hands,”
My lips curled into a smile as I flipped the pages.
“Let’s see how she is going to react to this.”
‘Are you sure about this, Aria?’
“Girl, stop being a coward. Don’t you know that using this against Lana won’t stop at giving us peace, but it will make her fear me?”
Lana has done the worst to me, and it is the right time to put her in her place.
The rest of the hours I spent in the office was so peaceful because Liza, knowing that I wouldn’t budge to her words, didn’t disturb me anymore.
Then I left, and fortunately, Lana was the first person I saw in the living room.
Her head was still wrapped in the thick gauze, so was her right arm. And the instant her eyes closed mine, her face turned red.
“You fool!”
She cussed, breathing hard.
I didn’t need to be told anything, it was obvious that my brothers took it out on her when I left.
She wasn’t the only one who could manipulate, I had to show her that I could do that too.
Nevertheless, I tried to ignore her because I was boiling inside after seeing what she was intending to do.
However, she stepped in front of me, teething.
Her luck was that we weren’t standing up the stairs like the previous night if not, I would have pushed her down the stairs and wouldn’t regret it.
“Get out of my way, Lana!”
She didn’t move,
“Make me!”
“Okay, what do you want?”
“To see you dead!”
I tried to keep my cool, but Lana was not only getting on my nerves with her words, she was already jabbing my chest, ready for a fight.
In her condition, I was so sure that I would beat the hell out of her couple with the fact that I’d been getting a lot of trainings for weeks.
And her condition would make it easy for me to land her in the hospital for days if not weeks.
“Calm down, Lana.”
I chuckled, placed a hand on her shoulder and sighed. If only she knew what I knew, she wouldn’t have dared to provoke me in any way. She would have done anything to stay out of my way.
“You made me look like a bad girl in front of them!”
I could swear I saw a flicker of tears in Lana’s eyes but it disappeared the second it came. She must be so good in hiding her weakness.
If Lana was that upset because I imitated her and made her look like she did it, then didn’t she thought about what I would feel when she did the same to me?
“Why being so childish over what you did first? If you hadn’t done it to me, I wouldn’t have paid it back,”
She flipped my hand off her shoulder, and snapped.
“The next time you lay your filthy hand on my…”
Pak!
A gasp escaped her lips, and her eyes snapped wide. Even I didn’t knew my hand would connect with her cheek at that moment, but I couldn’t congrol myself as I’ve had enough of her nonsensical attitude.
“You slapped me?”
Her voice was above whisper, carrying pain and shock.
“And I will do worse than that the next time you insult me!”
Lana stepped back, staring at me with deep red eyes. Her left cheek where I had slapped her had turned red with three of my fingers marked on it.
I didn’t know what had scared her that way because she kept stepping back until she collided with the sofa and fell on it.
It must have been the way my voice sounded so authoritative as I was taken aback too.
‘Calm down, Blair, you are going to lose it.’
I slammed the door shut, tossed my handbag on the bed and hung my hands on my head.
I was breathing so fast, my heart was palpitating, and I felt like I was about to lose it.
Something inside me was about to explode, something I’ve never felt before.
It was as if something had lose control inside me and was twirling it’s way through my bloodstream to escape.
The next second, everywhere turned so hot that I felt like my skin was melting away.
I fell on the floor, trying to control what I couldn’t control, then my eyes went shut.
“She’s dead, now search her room!”
