Chapter 73
Aria’s POV
As soon as I was untied from the chair, I stretched my hands, tilted my head, and walked towards Nina and her minions including the clients who sat on the ground, handcuffed.
“Now you are in my hands.”
I squatted in front of her and held her chin up.
“Can I slap you now or wait until you have been tortured enough?”
My hand connected with her face so sharply the moment she spat on my face.
“I am your Alpha leader, get into your senses!”
Nina thought she was smart but no. When I noticed that they’d caught me and I would be apprehended by them, I quickly sent a message to the armed forces including the location of that place before my phone was snatched from me.
“Next time, pick someone else to play tricks with.”
I got on my feet, waved to the general and he ordered his juniors to take them away. One after the other, they were all bundled in different cars and taken away to the headquarters.
“What do you want us to do to them, Alpha Aria?”
The general asked as soon as the cars drove away with the criminals.
“Torture them until they confess to all their sins and make sure everything is being covered by the media team. Nina should be kept in a separate room.”
She was their boss so hers had to be so special.
The general left, then the building and the entire neighborhood were shut down since everyone was arrested.
“I want this place demolished today.”
I ordered before leaving.
At home, after I had slid out of the leather clothes and was about to go inside the bathroom to freshen up, Kael barged inside the room, startling me.
“So that was what you said you would tell me later?”
He shut the door, scurrying towards me.
“You always get yourself into dangerous things, Aria. How could you even think of infiltrating somewhere like that?”
“Dude!”
I waved my fingers, scoffing.
“You seem to always forget that it is my duty to protect this pack as the Alpha leader.”
“That isn’t an excuse, Aria. There are things that you don’t have to do. Isn’t that why you have us as brothers?”
“Forget it. No matter what you guys do or say, I will never stop doing what I am doing. My pack needs me, and I must protect them.”
He shook his head, sighing in disbelief. Not only Kael, but my entire brothers knew that when I put something ahead of me, I must see its end without needing any help.
“That aside.”
He said, sitting on the bed.
“I heard their boss is your friend.”
“No, was…she was my friend. Thank goodness I unfriend her, Kael. Gosh! Imagine how things would have turned out if she was still my friend.”
He chuckled softly.
“Well, I told you to be very careful with her.”
He surely did. But did I listen? Absolutely not. Alissa said the same thing too and I didn’t listen.
“Your assistant, Bianca.”
“I know.”
He got up.
“I told you she can’t be trusted.”
Then why didn’t he just fire her and deal with her when he knew who she was? What on earth was Kael doing?
“You know what? I have started to suspect you too, Kael.”
“What da! Why?”
“Because you know how much I have been fighting to eliminate corruption in this pack yet you kept someone who is into this kind of business as your assistant. Does that even add up? Makes me suspect you to be one of them.”
“But I ain’t.”
“I don’t believe it.”
Kael frowned and grabbed my hand.
“If you don’t trust your brother, then who will you trust?”
“Nobody, not even myself.”
Kael shook his head, sighed deeply, and released my hand.
“I am so sorry about that, Aria. I kept her because I was still investigating things about her. I wanted to know everything she was into and gather a lot of evidence before apprehending her.”
“All the evidence is in her phone, Kael. You know what? I think I should send my investigation team to your company. I have this feeling that Bianca must have initiated a lot of your employees.”
He didn’t argue, he only smiled and bobbed his head.
“Do whatever suits you, Alpha leader.”
He patted my shoulder before leaving the room.
Not only his company, I was ready to screen out the whole companies in the pack including the hospitals, armed forces department, and also the training ground.
There is nowhere dangerous people don’t stay, you can even find them in places you least expected.
“When are you leaving the house, Aria?”
Kael asked the moment I stepped out of my room.
“When I am done eating, I am starving and can eat an Alpha right now.”
“You and sarcasm are like bone and flesh.”
He laughed softly.
We went to the dining area together, ate lunch, and discussed everything that happened that day and how I was able to find their location.
A few minutes later, my other brothers joined us and before I could finish telling them everything I had told Kael, a servant said I had a guest outside.
“Who?”
I asked him and the look on his face exhibited concern.
“Are you deaf?”
Rafe thundered when he didn’t say a word.
“It’s…Mr…the supreme Alpha.”
My brothers shot to their feet, fingers clenched, their eyes rolling in anger.
“Tell him to leave!”
They chorused, their voices shaking the building.
“Tell who to leave?”
I got up, controlling the sudden anger that was rushing into my bloodstream.
“They said I have a guest, not you guys have a guest. He came to see me so what is your business about that?”
They turned to me looking surprised.
“It is Jace, Aria. What business do you have with him? That family and our family must stay away from each other!”
“And why?”
“Because they caused our parents’ death!”
