Chapter 71: The Truth I Never Knew Existed

Aria’s POV

My hands were tied to the chair and my face hurt so much from being hit non-stop.

“You think you can come in here and step out alive?”

Nina snapped, grabbing my jaw aggressively. But instead of pleading for mercy like their victims would always do, I spat on her face and scoffed loudly, annoying everyone in the hall.

Besides, why would I be afraid and plead with a criminal? I might be tied to a chair and couldn’t move, but Nina didn’t know what she was getting herself into.

“How dare you!”

She slapped me so hard on the face again, the pain was so excruciating. I endured it too, just like I’d been enduring the rest.

“This is the sixth time your hand is connecting with my cheeks.”

I said, piercing into her eyes. That got her so upset and instead of backing down, she kept slapping fiercely and I didn’t stop counting. When she got tired and it all rounded up to the twentieth time, she stopped, gasping for breath.

‘Let me out!’

Liza screamed again for the fifth time since I was tied. She wanted to shift so that she would punish them but no, I didn’t want it that way because we would end up taking their lives.

Even if they would die, I wanted the whole world to see them in the media as the fugitives captured in the Bloodmoon pack.

So I blocked her again and focused my attention on Nina.

“Boss, let’s kill her.”

Bianca, who had been hiding behind Nina finally stepped up and spoke. In her eyes, there was fear, lots and lots of it.

She looked as though she knew I would get out of there alive but they never would.

“If we keep torturing her this way, it would buy her a lot of time to…”

“Shut up!”

Nina yelled at her.

“Since when did you start to be scared of weaklings like Aria? She has no wolf, idiot!”

And that was where she went wrong.

“She does, boss. I overheard Kael discussing that with someone on the phone last week. He was telling the person how huge Aria’s wolf is.”

However, Nina cracked up, throwing her head backward. She didn’t look like she believed any of that and wasn’t going to believe it.

After all, when she was with me, she knew that I couldn’t let out my wolf yet. She thought I was still in that situation.

“Aria here? You must be kidding.”

Then she grabbed Bianca’s wrist so hard that pain was visible on Bianca’s face.

“Get back to your senses, Bianca. And if you are acting cowardly because she is the Alpha, stop it! There is nothing Aria can do. We will take her life here just like we tortured Alissa to death!”

Yes! That was what I had been waiting to hear from her. How they even captured Alissa.

“So it was you who kidnapped and tortured her.”

I pretended not to know so that the idiot would vomit all the information in her stomach.

“Yes, I did! Got any problem with that?”

She released Bianca’s hand, placed both of her hands on the edge of the chair I was tied to, caging me in between her arms.

“Alissa crossed my path just like you did today, Aria. I always warned her to stay out of my business but she wouldn’t so I was left with no choice but to let her know who I really am for messing with me.”

“But you…”

She continued.

“You jumped to the conclusion that the Rogues were behind it and ended up punishing them.”

Then she cracked up again.

“The Rogues are coming after you, Aria. And when they do, everything and everyone in this pack is going down. The Bloodmoon pack will become history!”

“Oh, really? That means they will wipe you guys out too.”

Everyone in the room gasped, and they started speaking angrily.

“Is she out of her mind?”

“She thinks she can run her mouth however she likes.”

“Can’t someone shut her up already?”

“We should kill her!”

Nina was listening to all of them, her whole attention on them. Then a smile appeared on her face, a mischievous grin indicating that she had hatched an evil plan in her mind.

“Get me the usual!”

She ordered and someone hurried out of the hall.

“When you are over there, greet your parents and scold them for bringing a weakling into this cruel world.”

“No, I will greet your parents for sending a maniac into this world. How about that?”

Nina’s fingers clenched into a fist as she bit her lips angrily.

“You know what? Run your mouth the way you want. After all, you are going today.”

The person who left earlier returned, and handed over what he brought to Nina—a syringe, the same type that she was holding in the video.

“Is that…silver?”

I asked, my eyes squinted as I stared at it.

“Yes, sweetheart. It rings a bell, right? Let’s repeat it so that you will die a terrible death.”

“Boss, stop it already.”

Bianca held her hand.

“You can’t inject her with silver.”

“And why?”

“Because…”

Bianca gulped down looking so worried.

“It will not work on her anymore.”

Really? I didn’t know that.

“The first time it worked on her, she was still a pup who hadn’t let out her wolf yet, but now that she has, silver will never work on her because she is an Alpha.”

Wow! That was amazing and I liked it.

“Get away from me, idiot! How could you allow yourself to be this brainwashed? Silver injection works on every werewolf including the king himself. Have you forgotten when the Supreme Alpha threatened the king with silver injections?”

“Really? Why?”

Nina glared at me,

“How dare you interrupt me?”

I rolled my eyes, shaking my legs impatiently. What was taking them so long to arrive?

Nina turned to me, pointing the needle towards me.

“Bye bye, Aria…”

The moment she raised the syringe so high, the door flew open and thousands of armed forces barged inside the ball.

“You are under arrest, all of you!”
