Chapter 13 (NOT A SURROGATE)

“Oh that. Anyways, I hope you already know what to tell them when you bumped in to them with Jeff.” Belle stood up, she carried the remaining two bags and went to Emily’s room again.

“What should I do?” she sighed deeply. “Jeff, Mummy will get in to trouble because of you. I’m not blaming you, don’t misunderstand me.” She smiled sadly.

Two hours later, Harry returned home. His face wasn’t as it was when he left home. He wasn’t happy but now he was. Even his Mum and Grandma were surprised to see him that way when he stepped inside the sitting room.

“My baby boy is back.” His Mum opened her arms widely for him to come hug her on the sofa. “Good God!” Grandma exclaimed. “What is it this time, Mum?” His Mum asked Grandma. “You are pampering this big too much.” She shook her head.

“He’s the only son I got and I just make sure he is always happy.” She turned to Harry who was looking at them with his hands in his pocket. “Come here Harry.” He went and sat on the same sofa with her.

“Grandma, you are the one disturbing to get married. Why did you want me to get married?” Harry asked her. She adjusted the lenses on her face and closed the book she was reading. “I want to see your children before I go,” she said and he smiled.

“Then that is settled. I’ve already got a child,” he said smiling. “That’s not the type of a child I want from you. I want a legal one, the one from your wife not a surrogate.”

“I don’t want to get married, I’ve already told you this times without numbers,” he sighed. “Forget about Grandma. Did you find her? You like so happy.” His Mum asked.

“Yes Mum, I found her. You know the first two outside the city right? That’s where she went to.” His Mum’s face lit up. “Wow!” She exclaimed. “I’m so happy right now. You saw your child? How is he like?” she asked him.

“He’s so cute and tiny. His eyes are like mine and his face too.” Harry was so happy that he couldn’t hide it. “What a shame,” Grandma said but they ignored her.

“So when are you bringing her home?” Mum asked. “She doesn’t want to come back, she said I will take Jeff away from her.”

“Jeff?” they turned to Grandma. “The baby’s name is Jeff? What sort of a name is that?” She scoffed. “Mum, it’s short for Jeffery.” His Mum exhaled.

“Who cares. There are many names you could call the child but you decided to go for Jeff? Oh, how does that even concerns me.” She stood up. “My ears will start dripping if u keep sitting here listening to your nonsense.” She picked up her book and went upstairs.

“Thank goodness.” Harry heaved a sigh of relief. “Mum, your Mum hates me.” Harry shook his head. “No, Grandma doesn’t hate you, she loves you. So what is your next plan now?” she asked him.

“You said you’ll tell me something after I found her.” He reminded her. “Yes.” She looked around to make sure no one was listening especially Grandma. “Since she doesn’t want to come home. I suggest you offer her a marriage proposal,” she said in a low tone and he chuckled.

“Are you kidding me? This is not even an advise. I already told you I don’t want to marry,” he said. “No, not that. You aren’t going to marry her in real. It will be like a contract, she’ll sign it and then return back with Jeff. Do you understand?” she asked him.

“Yes I do. But are you sure Emily will agree to that?” He was confused. “I’m sure she likes you and she won’t hesitate to do that,” she smiled at him. “Alright, I’ll get the paper ready and when next we go, I’ll give it to her.”

“Good boy. I’m so glad you have your own child now.” She touched his face. “Wait till you see Jeff, he’s so lovely.”

“Awn, can’t wait. You know what! Go start preparing the document now. You should take it to her tomorrow, I want to see Jeff too,” she said and he nodded his head. “Right. Mum, tell the maid to bring my food to my room, I’m starving.” He stood up from the sofa.

“Alright,” she said. He went to the room and called Ron on the phone to come meet him in the room. “Poor girl.” He shook his head when he remembered Emily. “She will think I’m interested in her.” He smirked.

Ron opened the door and entered carrying a tray.

“Your Mum wants me to give you.” He put down the tray on a table beside the bed and stepped aside. “Okay. I called you here to draft a contract for me,” he said. Ron was surprised, he wondered what kind of a contract his boss was demanding for again.

“Are you planning to hire a surrogate again?” he asked politely. “No, it’s a marriage contract,” he said. “For who? Sir?” Ron was surprised. “For Emily. I can only get back my boy if she signs the marriage contract,” he said sitting upright.

“It’s true,” Ron nodded his head. “Go there and write.” He pointed to the table and task chair with a laptop on the table. Ron sat on the chair, he lifted up the lid of the laptop and looked at Harry who was already eating.

“You can start writing.” He munched on the cookies. Ron typed inside the system as Harry instructed him on what and what to write. He was surprised and confused on what Harry was telling him to write but he has no choice.
