The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 22 (PAINED)
Chapter 22
Emily was pained, she was lied to and that made her feel bad. She blamed her self for being so stupid and to fell in to Ron’s lies. For once, she wished she had listened to Belle.
“Go!” Emily stood in her feet, she looked at Harry and sniffed. “Harry, the love I have for you is natural. I don’t think anything would stop me from loving you. Even though I feel bad for what you’ve done to me, for the lies you and your Assistant told me, I still love you. And remember what I’m going to tell you now, I won’t let you go as far as am living here. I would do whatever it takes to make you fall in love with me.”
She cleaned her face and sniffed. She looked upstairs and her lips twitched. Emily wished she could see Jeff even for once before she could step out of that apartment.
“Allow me to see Jeff,” she said to Harry but he ignored her. “Emily, leave now. Ron!” she shouted Ron’s name and he entered “Take her away.” She pointed at Emily as if she was an object. Ron grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the apartment.
All her pleas on seeing Jeff fell on deaf ears. She could hear his cry from the room but no one was willing to let her see him.
“Leave me alone!” She fling her hand from his as soon as they entered the servants quarters. “I’m sorry miss Emily.” He lowered his head. “Do not say that to me!” She sniffed. “It was all your fault. You lied to me that Harry loves me. I should have listened to Belle, she saw the red flag but I didn’t. I only wanted to be loved, I wanted freedom and happiness. I never knew I could fall in to this.”
“Miss Emily, I did what I had to do. That was the only way for my Boss to get Jeff away from you,” Ron sighed. “And you are happy right? You are happy that a child who’s not even up to a month has been taken away from his Mum? Don’t you care about what will happen to him?” She Squat down and covered her face.
“Oh Jeff, forgive your Mum who doesn’t know right from wrong,” she cried. Ron watched her cried, he felt so bad for her. If not for his Boss’s Mum, he would have right the wrong but he was so scared of her.
“I’m so sorry.” He apologized again and left. “What have I gotten myself in to,” Emily cried. She sat on the floor and buried her head in between her knees. “Mum!” she cried her mum’s name for the first time after leaving home.
“Look what I got myself in to. Daddy always said he’s so proud of me but now, I know he’s Disappointed in me.”
“Hey, enough with that cry. There are lot of works to do.” She lifted her head up and her eyes fell on a middle aged woman in a white and sky blue short gown.
“Who… Who are you?” Emily sniffed. “Are you blind?” She Sneered. She threw a bunch of the same dress she was wearing on Emily. “Those are your dresses. Go in, you’ll see your bags beside a bed. That’s yours. Change in to this now and come out.” She commanded and left before Emily would say something.
“Servants dress?” She stared at the dress. It wouldn’t be difficult for her and she knew she could overcome with. But the only thing she can’t overcome is losing her child not because he was gone. He was right there under her nose but she can’t see him.
Emily accepted her fate, she stood up and packed the dresses. She knew she had to do whatever would keep her in that house if she wants to keep an eye on Jeff.
She went inside the room and as the woman had said, her bags were beside a bunk bed. The Servant's Quarters looked so terrible. You wouldn’t believe it was part of that big mansion.
The bunk beds there were so worn out and even the rooms too. There were three bunk beds in each room with a toilet for nine people staying in a room.
Emily sat on the last bed where her bags were and she buried her face on her palms. Even her room which was the storage room under the stairs was more comfy than that.
“That means step Mum has some love for me in her heart. She didn’t let me sleep at the kitchen like her friend had said, she didn’t sent me out of the house like her sister had said to her. She let me stayed in that small room which I hated and wanted to go out of. I didn’t know I would appreciate that ever in my life.”
As Emily cried, her voice could he heard outside the Quarters. She didn’t care, she only wanted to cry out her heart. It was so painful, painful than when she lost her Mum and Dad.
“What are you still doing in here? I thought I told you to come out!” Came the bashful voice of the woman again. Emily raised up her head and cleaned her face. “I haven’t eat,” she said pitifully. “And how does that concerns me? Put that thing on now and follow me!” she yelled at her.
Emily sprang on her feet, she hurried inside the bathroom and within some seconds, she came out wearing the gown with her pajamas in her hands.
“It suits you.” The woman complemented her. Emily dropped the pajamas on the bed and followed her out. The dress stopped at her knees just like it did on the woman and it was as if she was measured before the dress was sewn for her.
