“You have an enormous amount of money in your account now but you chose this life,” Naomi laughed at her. “And for your information, the earlier you do what the mistress want you to do, the better. She’ll never let you back in to Jeff’s life again. And don’t be surprise when she leave the country with him. You’ll be a proud Mum,” she laughed sarcastically.

“Watch what you say. She’ll never take Jeff out of this country.” Emily’s heart was pounding. The thought of that sent shivers down her body. “Scared? I’m sure you are scared. But why do you think she won’t do that? After all, she took him away from you and made you become one of the servants.” Naomi winked at her.

“That’s none of your business. She won’t do that, Harry won’t let her do that.” “Really? Okay then, we’ll see.” She smiled. “Naomi, just leave here. I don’t want to see you.” She turned to another side.

“You will be seeing me around you every time. I won’t let you rest. I’ll always remind you of this,” she said but Emily ignored her.

Naomi walked away laughing so hard, Emily wanted to grab her hair but let her go that time. She promised never to let Naomi bully her ever again as long as she would be staying there.

“Wait, is she saying the truth? She can’t be right.” She brushed the thought aside. “I can do this, let’s start a new life.” She inhaled deeply and went inside the garden.

She picked up another scissors again and watched the guy standing beside her. She did all he was doing and in no time, she mastered that. Emily made sure she learned new things that day, she ignored the talks from her colleagues and concentrated on her work. But one guy kept pestering her, he followed her around wherever she went. Even when they were having lunch, he sat next to her.

“What do you want?” Emily asked him at last. “Hi, my name’s Michael,” he smiled widely, showing his braces. “So what do you want with me? Do you also want to bully me? If that’s what you want to do, do it now!” she yelled at him.

“I’m sorry.” He lowered his head and walked away sadly. Emily gasped, she opened the door and entered the room. “Can’t they just leave me alone?” She sat on her bed and exhaled. “All of them want to bully me. What did I do to them?” She shook her head.

She lay on the bed and closed her eyes. The first person she saw was Belle and she quickly opened her eyes.

“Not again. Why do I keep seeing Belle even in my dreams? I know I wronged her but I’m already paying for it. Why then am I seeing her?” she gasped worriedly. “Belle, just let me deal with what I’m in now, I don’t want to think about other things again. I should have listened to you. Now, I don’t even have my phone to call her or text her again.” She stamped her foot on the floor.

“I knew you have been hiding something.” She turned to where she heard the voice and Naomi came out where she was hiding behind the curtain. “What da!” she exclaimed. “What are you doing in the room that you hid behind that curtain?” Emily asked.

“To keep an eye on you,” she said. “Lier! You are stealing from us.” Emily stood up. “Are you kidding me? Do I look like someone who steal?” Naomi chuckled. “It’s not written on the face.”

“Do not change the topic. I heard what you said, you didn’t listen to your friend and push yourself in to this.” Naomi said and Emily giggled. “You are always interested in other people’s privacy. Don’t you have anything to do? Don’t you have your own problems?” she asked her.

“What if I have? And what if I don’t have? I decide what to do with my life!” she snapped at Emily. “Then why did you decide to come here and serve as a servant? You should be out there contesting for Miss world of rather be a model.”

“Are you mocking me?” “Yes, I’m mocking you,” Emily laughed at her. “Emily, you have no idea why I am here and you don’t even have to know.”

“But Naomi, you treat others good except me. Do you have a grudge on me? Have we met before? Did I do something to you in our past life?” Emily asked Surprisingly. She has been keeping an eye on Naomi and it seemed she was the only one she was bullying.

“I hate you because of Harry, I hate you because you are such a fool to volunteer and became his surrogate. I hate you because you have a child who’s the same blood with them. I don’t even know why I’m saying this.” She angrily left the room.

“That’s not an excuse, she’s just a servant. Maybe she loves Harry too. Who wouldn’t love him? He’s handsome,” she smiled.

“Stop it Emily, don’t even think about him now,” she sighed. “I’m hungry again.” She rubbed her tummy.

She lifted up the bed sheet and pushed the bag out under the bed. She brought out a snack bag and an apple juice.

“This will do.” Emily quickly ate and drank everything. She put the empty can and bottle inside the bag again and pushed it inside. “I wonder if Jeff has eaten. Should I go check? May be I should.” She stood up from the bed and dusted her gown.

“I won’t enter, I’ll just hang around the apartment.” She left the room and was lucky no one was outside. She hurriedly used the back route of the apartment and hanged around there thinking she would hear him crying.

She saw a door and a window. She peeped inside and saw two maids cooking.
