The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 32 (NOT AGAIN)
Chapter 32
“Emily!” He called quietly but she waved her hand. “Emily, come out!” he whispered. Michael was getting scared but Emily was getting more confident. She brought out two cups of Vanilla ice cream, juice, Cakes and hurried out.
But as she turned, she didn’t see Michael there again.
“Where is he?” She hurried out holding the stuffs in her hand. “What da!” She exclaimed. “I knew you weren’t up to something good when you sneaked out of bed.”
Emily closed the door. She looked at Michael whose eyes was lowered to the ground and at Naomi who was staring like her angrily.
“It’s none of your business,” she said to Naomi. “Emily, I know it’s non of my business but please, stop involving Michael. I don’t know why he has been following you around. But that is not an excuse to put him in trouble.”
“I already told you it’s because I like her.” Michael lifted his head up. “You can’t like her, she’s older than you,” Naomi snapped at him. “She’s my friend. Age is just a number. Emily isn’t who you think she is. Can’t you just leave me alone?”
“I won’t leave you alone. What if you go in there and met her? Aren’t you afraid of what she would do to you?” she asked him and he chuckled. “She won’t do anything to me.”
“You are wrong. That woman is so heartless. We wouldn’t have been here if not for her. We trusted her and she brought us here. Do you think she can’t do something more terrible than this to us?” Naomi inhaled.
“Naomi, I also don’t like her. I hate her more than you do,” he said “Then why are you trying to get close to her?” she asked him. “Because I want…” He paused.
Emily was confused, she had no idea what they were talking about because she didn’t understand any of the things the were saying.
“Go on, I’m listening,” she said. “Naomi, I’m just trying to help Emily retrieve a document.” He said Calmly. “What document? She can retrieve it by herself.”
“It’s the document she signed, the one that brought her here. Emily, tell her.” Michael turned to her and so did Naomi. She folded her arms waiting for Emily to say whatever she would say before she give her a piece of her mind.
“It’s the contract they made me signed. I think something isn’t right with the document,” she said to Naomi. “Didn’t you read it?” she Sneered. “I was… I read it but I didn’t concentrate on what was written there. It’s a marriage contract.” She lowered her head in shame.
“I’m not surprise. The only thing that surprised me is how you will sign a marriage contract without having proper wedding. I guess that’s what your friend told you but you ignored her.” Naomi chuckled.
“That’s not necessary. I just want to get it back and check something out.” She rolled her eyes. “Then go get it, I pray someone sees you.” She smiled and turned to leave but Michael blocked her way.
“Naomi, we need your help.” She raised a brow confusingly. “You need my help? On what?” she asked.
“To get the document. You can do it, please help us,” Michael pleaded. “Have you lost it? You know I will never step my foot inside this apartment. And I will never help Emily.” She said looking at Emily.
“I don’t even need your help. I know how to get it. Michael, stop begging her. She’ll look down on me and mock me that she was the one that helped me.” Emily rolled her eyes.
“Good thing you know. But you’ve forgotten one thing, I’ll make sure everyone knows that you signed a contract without reading it because you were so eager to marry Harry. And you stole things from the fridge.” She grinned Mischievously.
“You know what? You can do whatever you want.” She gave Michael a cake, a cup of ice cream, a juice and walks away angrily.
“Look what you just did. You made her angry,” Michael said worriedly. “Michael, stop fooling around with Emily. She even stole something and gave it to you.” She Sneered.
“Naomi, you’ve always wanted to see her face to face and tell her your mind. This is a great opportunity for you,” he said and she raised a brow.
“Have you lost it? Quit dreaming. I’m not interested in this. I’ll wait for the right time to see her not while helping Emily.”
“Think about it, Naomi. I would have go in there by myself but you know how much I hate her. I’ll blow things up whenever I see her. I know you can control yourself and just tell her your mind.”
“I’m not interested!” she said and walked away. “Naomi.” He hurried after her.
Next day, Emily was inside the garden planting another flower again. She was mumbling some words angrily about what Naomi did to her flower yesterday when Michael called her name. She lifted up her head and saw him smiling at her with Naomi standing beside him.
“You’ve come to uproot it like you did yesterday right?” She stood on her feet. Naomi rolled her eyes with her arms folded. “Sorry about what she did yesterday.” Michael apologized.
“Stop apologizing to her,” she said to him. “Really?” Emily sighed. “Emily, can we talk to you please? Somewhere private,” he said and she looked around. There were three servants there who were listening to them.
“Of course, my dear friend.” She smiled at Michael. “Let’s go.” Michael led them out to the back of the Quarters where there were no one.
