The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 72 (HER PERCEPTION OF LOVE)
Chapter 72
“Hey relax. I don’t want any problem from her, that's why I didn’t answer her calls.” “But you have to call her. After all, she’s your Mum and she’s worried about you,” Harry said worriedly.
“Harry, can you please send that woman out of your house?” Harry giggled, he thought his Mum was joking like she used to but the seriousness in her voice made him believed she wasn’t kidding.
“Mum, are you serious right now?” he asked. “Of course I’m serious. There’s something I want to do and if she’s in the house, things won’t go as I want,” Harry sighed deeply.
“I can’t do this, she’s my Grandma,” he said. “That’s not a problem. Send her and that girl out of the house before I returns. I don’t want to come back and see Mum and Emily in the house. Understand?” She commanded. “Yes, Mum,” he said sadly.
“That’s my boy, make sure to take care of yourself. Do not forget I love you so much.” She disconnected the call. Harry stared at his phone confusingly. He couldn’t believe his Mum was telling him to send her own Mum and the love of his life away from his house.
“Hey handsome. What’s wrong?” He was so lost in thought not knowing when Emily entered the room. She put down the plate of Noodles with fried eggs and a mug of coffee on the table.
“You look sad. Did something happen?” she asked him. “No, I was just thinking about something.” He smiled at her. “Your smile doesn’t look real.” She sat beside him and took his hand.
“Tell me, did someone tell you to do something you don’t want to do?” Harry found himself nodding to her like a toddler who was helpless. “Who and what?” she asked.
“My Mum, she want me to send Grandma out of the house.” Emily was shocked but she smiled. “And what would my handsome man do?” she asked him. Harry looked at her and smiled. “I’m not the Harry she knew before traveling, this Harry is now a changed person,” Emily laughed, she dragged his cheek with her two fingers.
“Stop mimicking me,” she laughed. “I thought you forgot,” he laughed softly. “How would I. Seriously, you are a changed person.” She wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Baby, I can’t do anything she wants me to do now. What she told me about love is different. Her perception of love is different. I’m glad I gave love a try.” He wrapped his arm on her shoulder.
“Do you really love me like you said?” he asked her. Emily scoffed “Of course.” She Sneered. “Then look in to my eyes and tell me you love me.” She looked at his eyes and just as she was about to say she love him, the door opened.
“Awn!” They both turned to the door and found Grandma Admiring them. Emily quickly detached herself from Harry and stood on her feet. “Grandma.” She called. She was really shy that she would have run out of the room if Grandma wasn’t standing on the way.
“Grandma, you didn’t knock,” Harry said and she giggled. “Sorry for invading your privacy and interrupting your Romantic moment. But Emily has a visitor in the sitting room,” she said.
“A visitor? Who?” Emily asked, she wasn’t expecting anyone. No one even knew where she lived. “It’s a boy.” She said looking at Harry whose expression has changed by hearing a boy came to see Emily.
“Okay, I’ll go check.” She hurried out of the room. Grandma looked at Harry and smiled. “Jealous?” she asked. “No.” He looked away. “Don’t you wanna know who that is?” she asked him again. “No,” he answered her.
Emily looked from up and saw Michael scanning the living room. She hurried downstairs.
“Michael, what are you doing here?” She was surprised to see him inside the apartment. “I came to see you. It’s been days since you last visited us.” He smiled showing his braces. “Let’s go.” She held his hand and went out of the apartment with him.
“I’m sorry I didn’t come. I’ve been busy these past few days.” She apologized. “But you should have told us that you won’t be opportune to come visit us. Anyways, Naomi has been sick for three days now,” he said sadly.
“Sick, how? What happened to her?” Emily held his hand. “Naomi is in pains, her left leg aches her a lot. The girls in the same room with her said she doesn’t sleep at night.” He sniffed.
“Oh no! Not Naomi. Where is she now?” she asked. “She’s in the Quarters.” Michael cleaned the tears that had dropped on his face. “Take me to her.” She requested and he took her to the Quarters.
Like Michael has said, Naomi was seriously in pain. She lay on the bunk bed holding her knee and groaning in pain. Madam Gloria was sitting beside her applying an ointment to ease the pain.
“Emily, help me,” Naomi cried as soon as she saw Emily. Emily knelt on thee floor and held her hand. “Sorry Naomi.” Naomi held Emily’s hand tightly.
“My leg, it hurts a lot. Please help me,” she cried. “Madam Gloria, what should we do now?” Emily asked her worriedly. “I don’t know Emily, I suggested we speak to Grandma but Naomi doesn’t want anything to do with that family. She said I should forget about it,” she sighed worriedly.
“Naomi, if you want your leg to stop paining you, we’ll have to inform Grandma so that you would be taking to the hospital. You can’t stay like this. We’ll have to do something fast. Grandma is a nice person, she will help you. She likes everyone.”
“Emily is right, please agree to this.” Madam Gloria pleaded. “Naomi.” He knelt and held her hand.
