The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 91 (WONDERFUL MOMENTS)
Chapter 91
Emily caught some girls looking at him with smile on their faces and she whispered to Harry to speak so that they could leave in time.
“I know Emily has already told you why I summoned you all.” He began. They looked at each other believing what Emily said to them. They looked at her and she gave them the ' I told you' look.
“On behalf of the entire house, I said we are deeply sorry for keeping you as servants in the house. I know we enslaved you all but I want you all to find a place in your heart to forgive us. And for that…” He gestured to Ron to come closer.
“Everyone of you here would be given two million dollars each. You should go back to your families and your love ones. And if there are others who wish to stay in the house but not as servants, I’ll be glad to accept you.”
“Oh my God! Thank you so much Mr. Harry.” They all chorused. “You should thank Emily, she was the one that pleaded with me to free everyone.”
“Thank you so much, Emily. We are sorry for treating you bad.” They apologized. Emily smiled, she covered her mouth and blinked her eyes. She was already so emotional.
“Who is the youngest here?” Harry asked they all stepped aside and pointed to the lady. She was skinny and short. “How old are you?” Harry asked her. “16,” she said with her tiny voice.
“What are you doing here? Where are your parents?” Grandma was the one that asked her. “I’m serving here for my Mum. My Mum was once part of the maid but she got so ill and had to go home.”
“Then what are you still doing here?” Harry asked. “Ma’am Evelyn told my Mum to send any of her kids to replace her or else she’ll sue her to the court.”
“What! Evelyn again?” Grandma exclaimed. If not for Emily who was standing behind her, she would have staggered back.
“What’s your name?” Harry asked her. “Annabelle,” she answered. “Ron, give her two envelopes. One for her and one for her Mum.” Annabelle broke down in tears. Her family who didn’t have even a hundred dollars now has four million dollars.
“Thank you so much Mr. Harry.” She sniffed. “Tell your Mum we are sorry, tell her no one will sue her to court,” she nodded her head.
“If there’s anyone of you here who Evelyn has threatened, I am sorry about that. Have it at the back of your mind that she won’t do anything to you,” Harry said.
Grandma was surprised that Harry called his Mum by her name. That was out of order and rude not to say he said it in front of the people that hates her.
“Is this all the people at the Quarters?” Harry asked. “Naomi and Michael are missing.” Madam Gloria said. She too was holding back her tears of joy. “Okay. Ron, give them an envelope each, give two envelopes to Annabelle, and three for Madam Gloria.” He looked at her shocked face.
“One for your husband, for taking his wife away from him. One for your daughter, for taking her Mum away and one for you. I’m sorry for all that has happened, and for keeping you here.”
“I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much Harry.” She looked at Emily and Emily smiled at her with tears in her eyes.
Ron did as Harry instructed him. The girls and the boys all thanked Harry, Emily and Grandma. They all went back to the Quarters, did their remaining work and parked out of the house leaving their uniforms behind.
The Quarters became so empty and the only person that hasn’t moved out was Madam Gloria. She wanted to go home that day but Emily told her she already informed Hanna to come with her Dad the next day.
Madam Gloria left the house for the hospital to base the twins good bye and tell them what Emily did for everyone.
She arrived at the hospital full of happiness. She wasn’t wearing the uniform again and she looked so young in her own dress. Naomi was still in the hospital gown while Michael was out of the uniform too. The twins were planning on how they would run away from the hospital after Naomi was discharged when Madam Gloria entered.
“Hi kids.” She closed the door behind her. “Madam Gloria, where’s your uniform?” Naomi asked her Surprisingly. “Guess what?” She sat on a chair. “You ran away?” Michael asked and she burst in to laughter.
They’ve never seen her laughed that way before and the twins exchanged glances.
“Harry freed us, he sent us all back to our families,” she said happily. “I don’t get it,” Naomi said. “Okay, Emily pleaded with Harry to release all the servants in the Quarters. And guess what? Harry apologized to us for all for what Ma’am Evelyn did to us. He gave us two millions dollars each. I got six million dollars for myself, my daughter and husband. You know Annabelle right?”
“The little girl,” Michael said and she nodded her head. “Yes, she was given four millions dollars. For herself and her Mum who once served in the house.”
“Wow! He did that?” Michael chuckled. “Yes, Harry is so nice. And to think that Emily made him do that.” She sighed satisfidely. “Good for you.” Naomi rolled her eyes.
“Naomi, Michael. Emily told me you guys had a fight. You see, Emily and Harry are in love and it’s not a good thing to tell someone to break up with the person he loves because you don’t like the person.”
“Emily has gone through a lot and Harry is going through a lot now. Emily wants to be happy in her life, the happiness she lost since childhood after her Mum died. Harry too has lost his happiness in just a few days and he’s trying to win people’s heart.” She sat very well.
