Stepping into the company as the new president was the best feeling ever.

Everyone respects me so much, and I have my own personal assistant who carries my bag and also opens the door for me.

Who could have guessed Blair would climb to the top in just a span of one year?

Ahhh,

I love my new life.

As I lay my head on his chest after we've made out that morning, our marriage anniversary crept into my head.

I ran my fingers on his chest, and he gently stroked my hair.

“Baby, our anniversary is next month, are we going to celebrate it?”

“Oh, that's true. The 14th, correct?”

How can I ever forget the date?

“Yes, baby.”

He chuckled softly.

“Do you still remember what happened on that day?”

“Same here, little dove. We must celebrate it. Don't stress yourself, I will handle the whole thing.”

I trust him with that.

A few minutes later, he went inside the bathroom to shower.

And as soon as he entered, I got down from the bed and brought out my pills.

However, I paused midway as a thought struck me.

Why do I care about these pills?

I love my husband now,

And I am also desperate to give him a child.

I think it is time for me to stop using this,

I returned the pills inside their package and dumped them into my handbag.

Instead of following what Mum wants, it's time to follow my heart instead.

And I want whatever he wants.

“Are you going to the office today?”

Fredrick asked when he came out of the bathroom.

I've got a meeting with the employees today.

So, after we were both dressed up, we left the house together.

My assistant drove my car while I went with Fredrick in his car.

He dropped me off at the company, kissed me goodbye, and left.

“Ma’am, the meeting is scheduled at noon. Do you want to look around before the meeting starts?”

I prefer staying in the office unless there is anything important to do out there.

“No, let me know when the meeting starts.”

He bowed his head and left.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

I think I am forgetting something,

What could that be?

I got up from the chair, pacing around the office to see if I could remember whatever that was.

While still trying to remember, my phone rang.

When I picked up the phone from the desk, it was Mum who was calling.

What does she want now?

Sighs.

I hope she isn't calling to rain insults on me.

“Hi, Mum.”

“How are you doing, Blair?”

Mum sounds so relaxed,

Is there any problem?

“I am doing good, Mum, and you? How is Dad and the rest doing?”

“We are all fine, dear.”

Geeze!

What is wrong with her?

“I just wanted to say hi to you, dear.”

Has what Dad said to her entered her head?

I returned to the chair and sat down then drew my bag closer to myself.

I unzipped the bag to bring out a gum, then I saw it,

No wonder my mind hasn't been at rest.

The pills I threw inside the bag to dispose of.

What if Frederick went through my bag and saw it?

My assistant walked in.

“Is it time already?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Can you throw this for me?”

I wrapped the pills inside an envelope and gave them to him.

“Make sure you dispose of it properly.”

Phew.

My mind is now at rest knowing that I won't take any pills again.

Now it's time to conceive for the man I love.

A few minutes after the meeting started, my waist began to ache.

Maybe it's because I've been sitting down for so long.

It's not easy to go to work every day.

And I never have the chance to lie down,

I am always sitting in one place unless I decide to take a stroll around the departments.

“Mrs. Fredrick, that is the end of my presentation.”

I was so carried away with the pain not knowing he was even done.

As soon as the next person stood up for her presentation, the pain intensified.

I had to excuse myself and return to the office.

I don't usually have cramps during my period.

This is the 29th, not the 1st.

I went inside the ladies’ room to see if I would be better after relieving myself.

But the most terrifying thing happened as soon as I sat on the toilet.

A lump of blood lay on my panties.

My body started trembling and I quickly got up.

It can't be what I am thinking, right?

I hope it isn't.

Quickly, I wiped it off and hurried out.

“Ma’am, you are sweating, what is going on?”

The assistant asked as soon as I stepped out of the ladies’ room.

“Come quick, take me to the hospital, something is wrong.”

“Are you sick?”

He asked, but I ignored him.

I could hear the rhythm of my heart inside my ears,

This shouldn't be it please.

Immediately we arrived at the hospital, I barged into the doctor’s office, ignoring the patient he was attending to.

“Doc, help me, please. It's urgent!”

He lifted a brow surprisingly.

“What is it, Mrs. Fredrick?”

“I am bleeding.”

He got up, apologized to the patient, and led me out of the office.

“My waist aches a lot and when I went to the ladies’ room to relieve myself, I saw a lump of blood. Please help me.”
