I Married My Ex-fiance’s Father

Chapter 46.

Chapter 46

Chapter 46.

Lost who, my source of happiness?

Slowly, the veins disappeared, and my legs became numb.

I fell on the floor, trying to process what the doctor had just said.

I can't lose Blair, at least not now.

Tears freely flowed down my face,

Suddenly, a nurse ran out of the room and screamed.

“The bleeding has stopped, and she is moving!”

“Thank goodness!”

The doctor ran back inside the room and I returned to my senses.

Blair has woken up,

She is going to be fine,

Oh great!

I quickly wiped my face and stood on my feet.

And a few minutes later, the doctor came out of the room.

“Phew.”

He sighed and nodded his head.

“That was tough, but she is back.”

He said.

“And the baby is doing well too, Mr. Frederick, they both are fine, she just needs a little rest here in the hospital for the time being.”

Thank goodness!

Ahhh

I thought I would never see Blair again.

“Out of my way!”

I shoved the doctor aside and went inside the room.

“Baby?”

She called gently, her eyes half-opened.

I held her hand and kissed it.

“You saved my life.”

Tears dropped from her eyes.

How did I saved her life?

She is the one who saved mine instead.

“I am sorry I didn't come back in time.”

She forced a smile and shut her eyes.

“You did come in time, baby.”

She placed her hand on her belly.

“Our baby is fine too, he is kicking.”

She placed my hand on her belly to feel it, and I felt the baby’s movement.

“Have some rest, okay? I will soon be back.”

The moment she closed her eyes completely, I left the room.

Right now,

I don't care if Jessy is griefing or not,

She is going to experience more than Blair has.

I swear I won't rest until I teach her a lesson she will never forget in her life.

How dare she?

“Where is Jessy’s room?”

I asked the doctor who was in the hallway.

“That way, Mr. Frederick, I can take you there.”

He left the way, walking as if he could fly if he had the opportunity.

“Here.”

He said when we arrived at the room.

But when I entered the room, it was empty.

Jessy wasn't there,

“Where is she?”

I asked the nurse who was passing by when I stepped out.

“I saw them leaving the hospital just now with Mr. Harris.”

Oh,

Harris has taken her away?

Wonderful!

Then he would have taken her home because they had nowhere else to go.

I hurried after them, but they were already gone before I could come out of the building.

“Hand over the key.”

The driver hurriedly gave me the car keys and stepped aside.

But when I arrived home, they weren't there either.

Well, they would eventually come back here.

Quickly, I took a shower, changed into clean clothes, and stepped out.

“As soon as they come back, give me a call.”

I instructed the security guy.

“Yes, Mr. Frederick.”

“And you, get some new dresses and other things Blair will need and take them to the hospital. If she asks after me, tell her I have gone to take care of an important thing.”

Her personal maid bowed her head and went inside the apartment.

Then I left the house again,

And this time,

My destination is the headquarters.

Now I have their time.

As soon as I arrived, I started hearing the cry of a lady right from the door.

She is being tortured I guess.

But since that isn't my problem, I proceeded to the chief’s office.

“Mr. Frederick?”

He leapt to his feet, throwing the cigarettes in the bin.

Does he even have the chance to smoke when my wife is lying in the hospital?

Wow!

“You smoke on duty?”

He swallowed hard.

“I…mmm…no, please…”

Mtssss.

“Where is that bastard who locked my wife in the cell?”

I changed the topic as that wasn't what brought me here.

“I will go ask, Mr. Frederick.”

Really?

He hasn't done that since I left with Blair?

I drag him back and pin him to the wall.

“Are you kidding me?”

“Please, spare my life, Mr. Frederick. Give me another chance, please, and I will go fish out whoever it is.”

Gosh!

Well,

I released him and he staggered out of the office.

I followed him to the reception and sat down on a chair, waiting for him to point out whoever it was.

But the officers there said they didn't know who among them did that.

“If you guys lie one more time, I will bring down this building!”

I threatened and two officers fell on their knees.

“Mr. Frederick, please forgive us.”

Now we are talking.

“So it was you guys who treated my wife like a criminal.”

They shook their heads, hands on the floor.

“No, it wasn't us.”

Who are they kidding?

I think they want me to interrogate them harshly.

“You guys should speak the truth and spare us!”’

The chief commanded in a trembling voice.

“It wasn't us, chief. We only escorted him there, he was the one who dragged her out of the hospital and threw her in the cell.”

Gosh!

I can't believe the pain Blair must have gone through.

“Where is the bastard!”

I thundered, my voice echoing in the reception.

“He is over there,”

They pointed in the direction of the cells.

“I will go get him.”

The chief said, but I went with him.

When we arrived, he was inside the cell where Blair was locked in earlier, beating the lady who was left in there.

“Leave me alone, you fool! I told the truth because you are a monster!”

The lady cried.

So it is this lady’s voice that I have been hearing since?

Wow!

“You idiot, stop!”

The chief yelled and he turned around.

An ugly face that looks like a monster,

No wonder his heart is so black like coal.

But today, I will turn it white for him.

“Why are you beating a lady this way?”

The chief gasped, but he scoffed.

“She had the guts to tell a maniac who came here for his wife who is a murderer, what I did.”

Whoa!

So I am a maniac?

“You fool, do you even know who that was?”

“I will take over from here.”

I rolled up my sleeve, went inside the cell, and punched the idiot in the face.

“Who are you?”

He spat out blood, holding his jaw painfully.

“Frederick White, a man who doesn't tolerate shit especially from ants like you.”

I grabbed him by the collar and beat the hell out of him.

When I was sure he had lost his energy, I threw him on the floor and dragged him out of the cell.

“From now on, he is fired and should never be employed again.”

“Yes, Mr. Frederick, I will do as you said.”

The chief swallowed hard.

“And that lady,”

I pointed at her.

“No matter the offense she committed, I want her out of there.”

The chief bowed his head.

“Throw this bastard inside the cell and no doctor should attend to him!”
