“I am starving, go make me something to eat.”

The maid left and I went inside the bathroom.

While I was inside the bathroom, showering, I heard footsteps inside the room.

And I got scared because it reminded me of those kidnappers.

What if it is Jessy?

She can't know I am back home,

Or she will bring them back to this house and take me away.

“Blair?”

Oh, that is Frederick.

“Baby, is that you?”

He turned towards the bathroom.

“Yes, it's me.”

I quickly grabbed a towel, unlocked the door, and fell into his embrace.

“You are back.”

He said, hugging me tightly.

“Where have you been, little dove? I have been searching for you for days now.”

“I was kidnapped, baby. I am scared.”

He wiped the tears on his face and carried me to the bed.

“How did you get out?”

I can tell him everything that happened, but those people need to be arrested now.

“A kind-hearted man brought me home after I escaped from the kidnapper’s den.”

“Tell me where that is and I will go clear it. No one can kidnap my wife and go free.”

Good.

I gave him the address of the place, but told him not to let anyone know that I am back.

I don't trust anyone in this house.

If Jessy finds out I am back, then she will give them a call and they will run away.

“Stay indoors.”

He said.

“And when I come back, we will go see the doctor.”

Frederick stormed out of the room and after the maid had brought me food, I warned her not to inform the rest that I was back.

And after she had left, I locked the door.

Earlier on, I was at the headquarters where Jessy was being interrogated when I kept receiving calls from an unknown number.

I ignored the call as it was distracting me from hearing what Jessy was saying,

But my mind went to Blair.

What if she is the one calling me?

I thought and excused myself from the interrogation room.

And when I called back, Blair’s voice sounded on the phone.

My heart jumped in excitement the moment I heard her voice.

And without saying anything to her, I returned home.

After she had told me where those idiots were, I wanted to call the chief right away to send me his men, but she told me not to let anyone know yet.

And that is true,

She escaped from the den, and if the word gets out now, the person behind her kidnapping will find out and inform them to run away.

“Dad, is there any problem?”

Harris asked as soon as I was about to enter the car.

“Blair…”

I can't tell him.

Even though he has been searching for Blair with me these past few days, I shouldn't tell him.

“I missed my wife.”

I said and he sighed deeply.

“Do not worry, Dad, we will find her soon.”

Thank goodness she is back.

“But where are you rushing to? The interrogation is over, and Jessy is still claiming she doesn't know where Blair is.”

Forget about Jessy, dude.

When those idiots are caught,

They will mention the name of whoever is behind them.

Harris can't go inside the apartment.

He bobbed his head, entered his car, and drove out.

I left too after he was gone,

And gave the chief a call.

“Come with your men right now, and I will send you the address.”

I sent him the address of the place Blair gave me and drove ahead.

When I arrived, I brought out a gun from the safe, stacked it behind me, and stepped out of the car.

Since I parked the car a little distance from them, they didn't know I was coming.

“Guys, what do you think? We go in there and feed on her?”

One of them said,

Feed on my wife?

Meaning they should take turns making out with her.

The audacity!

Hearing them say that makes my blood boil in rage.

No one can sleep with my wife except me.

For saying that filthy thing, they will regret it.

I stepped forward, startling them.

And when they saw me, they staggered around, each looking for their guns.

“Mr. Frederick?”

“Wha…what are you doing here?”

One of them stuttered.

“To take my wife away.”

I said confidently with my hands in my pockets.

“Get out of here right now or I'll shoot you.”

“Hands up!”

They commanded.

But I brought out my gun and pointed it at them.

“Go bring her out or I'll release it.”

I threatened.

Immediately I said that, they started trembling.

I was so surprised because they also had guns in their hands.

So why are they trembling?

“Go bring her out.”

The leader said and when he went inside and didn't find Blair, he staggered out.

“She is gone!”

He shouted and their eyes widened in shock.

“Check very well, there is no way she can escape from here.”

I think they are new to this job.

“She escaped through the window, boss.”

The leader dashed inside but came out quickly.

“The bitch!”

He cursed.

“My wife?”

I swear I would have shot them to death if not for the quick arrival of the chief and his men.

“Arrest the idiots!”

The chief commanded and the cops handcuffed them.

When the guns were dropped on the ground, that was when I knew they were all toy guns.

No wonder they were trembling when I threatened to release the trigger.

“Wow, these fools. Don't worry, Mr. Frederick, whoever is behind this, they will mention his or her name.”
