I Married My Ex-fiance’s Father
Chapter 9.
Chapter 9
I opened my eyes to the gentle tap of Fredrick the next morning.
“Good morning, little dove.”
He said, beaming in delight.
Even though his face had a glint of sadness on it, he tried his best to hide it.
“Good morning babe.”
I yawned, covering my mouth.
“Do you feel better now?”
He asked, holding my hand.
Unlike yesterday, I feel a lot better now.
My tummy doesn't hurt anymore, and my head doesn't hurt either.
“Yes.”
His lips curved into a smile.
“That is good.”
Later, when I came down for breakfast, Harris and his wife weren't in the dining room, only Frederick was.
Weird,
“Where are Harris and Jessy?”
I asked him, sitting down on a chair.
Fredrick waved to one of the maids and she stepped forward.
“They will soon be here.”
He said to me,
“Go call them.”
She bowed her head and hurried off.
I had to control my laughter when Harris and Jessy came to the dining room.
Their cheeks were so red from the slap they received from Fredrick yesterday,
And their enraged faces made it look more funnier.
“Dad, you called.”
Harris said to his Dad while giving me an angry look.
“Yes.”
Fredrick wiped his hands on the napkin and locked his fingers.
“Kneel over there and apologize to Blair.”
He pointed at Jessy.
“What!”
Both Harris and Jessy exclaimed at the same time.
“Why, Dad?”
Harris asked him.
“I was talking to Jessy, not you!”
He snarled at Harris.
“But she is my wife, Dad, and I can't allow her to kneel for Blair.”
Whoa!
Harris has no idea how angry his Dad is over this.
If he doesn't want any problems, then he should do as Fredrick said.
“Are you nuts?”
Fredrick slapped the table, frightening me.
“Your wife nearly killed my wife yesterday and you don't want her to apologize?”
He got up.
“I am doing this because of Blair. If not, Jessy would have long left this house!”
He thundered.
“What do you mean?”
Harris was confused.
“Blair pleaded on her behalf, so she'd better kneel right now and apologize or else, I will throw her out of this house now!”
Jessy holds Harris's hand.
“Babe, please do not say a word, I am guilty of this, so allow me to do what is best.”
She released him and knelt in front of me.
“Blair, I am so sorry about that, I never meant to kill your baby.”
The tears that dropped out of Jessy's eyes were all fake, I knew it.
Well,
I can say I forgive her in front of Fredrick, but deep down in my heart, I know I will never forgive her.
“It's okay, Jessy,”
I placed my hands on her shoulders.
“We are a family, so we are bound to forgive each other.”
I smiled at her.
“See? She has a good heart!”
Fredrick shook his head.
It was as if she were waiting for them to leave the house so she would unleash her anger.
“How dare you, Blair!”
Hahahaha.
Come on, Jessy, no need to cry over this.
You should be lucky that I didn't let Frederick do what he wanted to do to you.
“Scared of leaving the house, Uhn?”
I teased her.
“I guess you were so scared to be sent away that was why you knelt in front of me instead.”
I stepped closer to her.
“You haven't seen anything yet, Jessy, I will make sure I make your lives a living hell in this house.”
She scoffed.
“We are moving out of this house very soon, bitch!”
Really?
But I won't let that happen.
They can't move out now, I still have a lot of things to do.
“Forget it, Jessy. As long as I am Frederick's wife, you and Harris won't leave this house until I am the one who requests it.”
She hissed.
“And oh,”
I wanted to touch her face, but she grabbed my hand.
“It hurts, right? Sorry, girl, but you deserved it.”
I laughed at her again and she released my hand.
“Stay away from me, Blair, or else, I will have you killed!”
She yelled and walked away.
Pffft.
You can't kill me, idiot.
A FEW DAYS LATER
It has been more than a week and neither Harris nor Jessy has fallen into my hands again.
The house has been so peaceful recently, and it seems they are avoiding me.
I don't like that,
I want them to cross my path so it wouldn't be like I am only looking for trouble.
Ahh.
“I am visiting my parents today, baby.”
Ever since I moved in here, I haven't called them, and I haven't visited them.
And none of them had cared to call me either, even my siblings.
What could be wrong?
At some point, it looks like they were waiting for an opportunity for me to leave the house.
“Okay. Should I drive you there, or should Harris take you?”
Wait,
Can Harris take me?
Wow!
I didn't know that,
I would have turned him into my driver.
This sounds so interesting.
But it is my parents' place I am going to, Harris can't take me.
They wouldn't be happy about it,
And Mum will start suspecting me.
“No, you should take me there instead.”
He smiled, bobbed his head, and extended his hand to me.
I got up from the bed and he held my waist.
“I love you so much, little dove. At first, when I saw you in the club, I wanted to help you get out of whatever was troubling you, but since you moved in here, I have fallen in love with you.”
Really?
I didn't know the marriage was on sympathy,
Well,
It is good that he has fallen in love with me.
“What do you want me to do for you now? Just say it and it is done.”
What should I ask for?
Hmmm.
Can he make Harris divorce Jessy if I want that?
Hahahaha
Silly.
No,
I shouldn't do that.
Let Harris divorce her when he is fed up with her.
“Whatever you think is best for me, I will take it, baby.”
