The Billionaire’s Obsession
Chapter 9
Chapter 11
She sighed deeply, shaking her head vigorously.
“Where are these servants?” She grew so impatient.
“Servants!” She shouted and her voice echoed around the living room.
One of the girls ran out from the Quarters to the dining area.
“This is the second time I called. What’s wrong with your ears?” she scolded her.
The lady bowed her head, apologizing to Isabella.
“Get all these out of the table!” she ordered. She stood up from the chair and left for the room.
All the servants in that house hate having her around.
The times she was always coming to the house, she always ordered them around and yelled at them for any slight mistake they made.
Now that she was back, they knew they were going to be treated like trash once again.
------------
At the office, everything was so boring and not different from that of the house.
Annoying people coming in and out of his office to give him some words of encouragement.
Sterling wondered how they were even doing that. Those people never even crossed the line of his office few days ago.
But now, they weren’t afraid to even talk to him for so long. He didn’t wave them off. No, he let them continue what they were doing.
One of his employees who he knew was a divorcee went as far as telling him to get married quick so he would have a woman to take care of him like his Mum did.
She even told him being single wasn’t a good thing for someone like him.
He already knew how that woman ended her marriage two months ago because she couldn’t take the maltreatment from her husband.
If marriage was like that, then why then would he marry?
And thinking about marriage, he remembered his mysterious woman.
Her marriage wasn’t perfect either. She was always bullied around by her husband. And he wondered what might be up with her at the moment.
“Mr. Hawthorn, you called.” Assistant Mike bowed his head.
“Yes.” Sterling relaxed back on the swivel chair.
“Have you found anything about that woman?” he asked him.
Assistant Mike almost forgot who he was talking about until Sterling frowned his face.
“I see you are playing with your job, Assistant Mike,” Sterling said to him, making sweats dropped from his forehead.
When Sterling say that to any of his employees, then he was giving them last warning and the next time they repeat that. They would be fired.
“I… I’m so sorry Mr. Hawthorn.” He apologized, bowing his head and wiping off the sweats.
“I… I decided to keep a hold to it because of… Uhm…” He scratched his neck as he didn’t want to remind him of his Mum’s death.
He wasn’t that careless as others were. He was the only one that knew what his Boss was going through.
“I’ll start gathering information about her before the day ends, Mr. Hawthorn,” he said.
“Alright. And failure to do that…” A mischievous grin escaped his lip.
“Yes, Mr. Hawthorn. I’ll do that right away.” He bowed his head and hurried out of the office.
Sterling closed his eyes as he let the chair swing him around.
Isabella’s come back wasn’t a good thing. He knew she would annoy him all the time and there was no way he was going to shun her away.
She was only trying her best to see that he was happy but he already knew what she had in mind.
He never loved her, no. Even long ago that his Mum wanted him to give her a chance, he turned it down.
He wouldn’t do that, not with a woman like Isabella. She was good in some aspect but not as good as the woman he wanted.
( Another chance gone wrong)
It has already been a week and two days since Vivienne took the broad step of leaving Sebastian’s home.
But he wouldn’t let her be, he was always disturbing her with calls to meet him so they would reconcile but she never gave him the chance.
She knew he was lying because she already lost her trust in him.
What if he forced her to go see another man again? Not when she was already planning on getting back to her old self.
She has changed a lot. Her skin wasn’t as good as it was before she got married to him.
Her face too, it wasn’t as young as that moment. Even her hair lost their elasticity because she never got the time to care of herself properly.
Vivienne sat on the long sofa with her neck resting on a pillow. She has a green face mask on her face and her eyes were covered with two slices of cucumbers. One on each side.
Then her phone started ringing. She wasn’t needed to be told who that was as she already knew who the caller was.
“This jerk!” She cursed. “What does he wants with me.” She removed the cucumbers and picked up her phone which was opposite her on the sofa.
“What do you want!” she shouted at the phone as she stared at his name.
That was the fifth time he would be calling her that day which she wasn’t even picking.
Nevertheless, she decided to answer to hear what he was going to say.
“What do you want?” she asked him, as soon as she answered the call.
“Vivienne dear, please let’s see and make things right between us. You know how much I love you and how much you also loves me.” She rolled her eyes.
She continued hearing what he was blabbering because none of that was getting in to her ears.
The moment it entered the first ear, then it would leave through the other ear.
“Please.” He pleaded one more time. Vivienne sighed. Wouldn’t she be tagged as a heartless person if she ignore his pleas?
She decided to just give him another chance. Not because she still loved him but because she wanted to see if he has really changed or not.
“Fine!” she interrupted what he was about to say.
“So we are going to see, right?” he asked, acting like a fool.
“Where do you want us to see?” she asked him, already fed up with the call.
You wouldn’t know that she was the one always looking forward to his calls when they were still dating and when she was still living with them.
But now, it felt like a waste of time speaking with him on the phone.
“I’ll send you the address and please, do not turn it down.”
Vivienne suspected the tone of his voice. She shouldn’t turn it down after seeing the address? Then that means he was taking her to somewhere where his clients were.
“An hotel, right?” she scoffed.
“No, I’ll never do that ever in my life again. It isn’t a hotel and it isn’t somewhere private.”
She heaved a sigh of relief and then told him she was waiting for the address before ending the call.
“Let’s see what he would send.” she stood up from the sofa to go wash her self as she waited for the message from him.
And when she came out, he already sent her the message.
Going to his company again, Vivienne thought if she was ever going to forgive Sebastian ever in her life again.
He had wronged her, maltreated her, bullied her and worst, tried to sell her body to some jerks because of business.
No man in their rightful senses would do that to another woman talk more of their wives.
Maybe something was wrong with Sebastian’s brain, she doesn’t know.
But whatever it was, he should deal with it himself. Because she would never return back to his house.
They can remained married but going back to his house, she would never step her foot in to a Lion’s den anymore.
Even if he becomes a good man, what about his Mum? That woman already hate her and she won’t stay with her again.
She took in a deep breath, adjusted her scarf on her face before stepping out of the taxi.
“Here I am again,” she smiled under her scarf.
And for each step she took, her mind was so eager to see Sebastian. She couldn’t control it as she had no power over it.
If it was for her, she wouldn’t even mention his name but her heart was yearning to see him.
She came out from the elevator, made her way to his office and stood at the door.
What if she open that door and find Sabrina in there? What if he called her just so she would come see Sabrina in his office? What if what she saw him doing with Sabrina was what he wanted her to see again?
She brushed the thought aside as she turned the door handle.
But it wasn’t Sabrina she saw in the office, it was another girl sitting on Sebastian’s legs and her back turned to the door.
Vivienne froze, she didn’t know he was going to repeat that in her presence again.
Was he doing that on purpose or he forgot he called her to come to his company?
When he noticed her presence, he smiled at her and then touched the lady who was on his thigh.
“She’s here.” he said to her.
The lady turned around, revealing her face which looked like Vivienne’s.
Vivienne was more shocked that her heart beat increased.
Her sister, in her husband’s office making love with him?
The bag she was holding dropped on the floor.
“Hi sis.” Seraphina waved to Vivienne and winked at her.
“Seraphina?” Vivienne called under her breath. Her voice wasn’t even loud anymore, she was so hurt. More hurt than the first time she caught Sebastian with that slut Sabrina.
She didn’t know Seraphina was the slut, having a relationship with her husband.
“I’m here to take care of your husband since you can’t do that.” She stood up from Sebastian’s thigh, went behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck and pecked him.
Vivienne just stood there trying to get a hold of herself but couldn’t. She could cry at that moment but they would only laugh at her.
But Seraphina with Sebastian? She never expected that her own blood would do that to her.
Vivienne lowered herself, she picked up her bag which had fallen on the floor and went out of the office.
Sebastian was surprised, he thought she was going to react to that but she didn’t.
Even Seraphina too was surprised but remembering who her sister was, she knew Vivienne wasn’t the kind of a person that let things border her.
But shouldn’t she be bothered that her husband was cheating on her with her own sister?
“Are you sure she is alright?” he asked her but Seraphina only scoffed.
“Do you care about her?” she scoffed.
“Nope, I’m done with her.” He stood up from the chair, picked up a file on the desk and excused himself out of the room as he had a meeting at that moment.
(Betrayed )
Her own sister?
Vivienne just couldn’t believe that. Seraphina has been staying with her Mum and not in that city.
When did she return? When did she and Sebastian got so close that she was already cheating on her?
What is wrong with Seraphina? Why was she acting like that towards her?
Who has she offended? Why were things happening to her suddenly?
Vivienne squatted on the carpet grass and buried her face on her knees.
She couldn’t take it anymore. That wasn’t the life she wanted. No, she can’t tolerate that.
“Ms., are you alright?” Vivienne lifted up her head and wiped the tears in her eyes.
Her face was still covered so, the man standing there didn’t see her face.
“I’m fine,” she said painfully, trying to put on a smile but couldn’t.
