The Billionaire’s Obsession
Chapter 10
Chapter 12
“Do you need help? You look like you need one,” he said but she stood upright and forced a smile.
“No, thank you.”
She bowed her head to him and walked away.
Vivienne has already made up her mind, nothing was going to stop her from departing with Sebastian that day.
No, she was a fool to have listened to his pleas when he wanted her to come over to his company.
Shouldn’t she have told him to go wait for her where she wanted?
She slowed down a taxi and hoped in.
“To the supreme court please,” she said after she closed the door.
The driver was surprised that such a young lady was going to the supreme court.
But he wouldn’t dare to ask her what she was going to do there. That was unethical.
“Thank you,” she said to the driver after he brought her to the court and she went inside.
She didn’t wait outside, she made her way inside the court and to the office of the judge.
“Miss, you can’t come in here right now. I’m but…” The judge paused when she removed her scarf.
He was shocked to see Vivienne because he never expected she was still alive.
“Vivienne Montague?” He rose to his feet.
Vivienne smiled, she made her way to the desk and sat down on the chair.
“Hi, old friend. Here I am.” She waved her fingers. He sat down on the chair after getting a hold of himself.
“You were alive? I mean you have been off the place for a year and a month now,” she nodded her head.
“Yes, and I’m here to file for a divorce please,” she said.
“A divorce? Why? But you and Sebastian love each other,”
Vivienne sighed. Yes, that was what everyone saw back then just like she saw too. But not anymore.
“Sebastian never loves me.” She wiped the tears on her face.
“Just look at me, I’ve been going through a lot in his hands.”
He scanned her and indeed, she was telling the truth.
She didn’t look like the Vivienne they all knew before she got married.
“I need to get out of that marriage, help me please.” She buried her face on her palms as she sobbed.
“Oh my God! This is so terrible. Why would Mr. Penelope do this to you.” He stood up and patted her back pitifully.
“I don’t know. I gave him my whole, I gave you my career for him, I did whatever he wanted. But still, he never cared about me. I’ve endured this for so long but not anymore.” She sniffed.
“Don’t worry Vivienne, it has come to an end. Just give me a minute.” He hurried out of the office.
As soon as he left, Vivienne lifted up her head and started laughing quietly.
If she didn’t do that, then he would waste her time and try to advise her to stay in the marriage.
He was her lawyer before he was promoted to be a judge.
And he was old enough to be her Dad. That was why she had to cry in front of him so he would take pity on her and act fast.
Even if she didn’t cry, he was going to do as she wanted but she wanted him to be Swift about it.
“Ms. Vivienne, I’m back.” He hurried inside the office flipping a page of the papers he was holding.
He handed over the papers to Vivienne who was pretending to wipe the tears in her eyes.
“It’s two copies, one for you and one for him. It doesn’t matter if he has the other copy, but in case,” he shrugged his shoulders.
“Thank you so much.” She sniffed. “I’ll be on my way now.” Vivienne stood up from the chair.
She bade him good bye as she exited the door.
Going back to Penelope’s company was the next thing. It was then or never.
She has never thought of a divorce before. But seeing shameless Sebastian with her shameless sister, divorce was the only thing in her mind.
He wasn’t the kind of a man she would mingle with or call her husband. Never!
She pushed the door of his office opened, startling them. Her sister was still there in his office and they were doing what she left them doing.
She ignored them, went to the desk and slapped the paper on it.
“Sign it,” she said, looking straight at him, ignoring her sister’s gaze.
“What is this?” he asked with a smirk.
“It’s a divorce papers, Sebastian Penelope. Sign it.” She pointed at the paper.
Hearing her mentioned divorce, Sebastian’s heart skipped a beat. And she also called him by his surname? He was confused.
He didn’t know Vivienne would wake up one day and tell him she need a divorce.
“No.” He shook his head making her wondered why.
“Scared?” She raised a brow but her sister scoffed.
“You have no shame, Vivienne. How could you think of doing something as this.”
Vivienne turned to her for the first time since she entered in to that office.
Shouldn’t Seraphina be the one she should referred to as someone who doesn’t have shame?
“You aren’t invited in to this, you bitch,” she snapped at her.
Seraphina exclaimed. Bitch? Did Vivienne just called her a bitch?
“How dare you!” she yelled at Vivienne.
“It’s better you keep your dirty mouth out of this, you cheater!” Vivienne sneered and diverted her attention to Sebastian who was so lost in thought.
“You sign this now, Penelope. I have no second to waste here.”
Sebastian came back to the reality. He looked at the paper on the desk and was convinced that was a divorce paper.
“Are you out of your mind?” he asked her but Vivienne only laughed shortly.
“Are you afraid of departing from me?” she asked him instead, he picked up the paper from the desk and tore it in to pieces.
“You and I aren’t getting a divorce. And if you think I’m going to sign any damn paper you will bring to me, then you must be out of you mind!”
He threw the papers on the air. But that didn’t touch her mind, she still has the other copy in her bag.
“If that’s what you chose, then…” She gave him a mischievous grin, covered her face with the scarf, and exited the office.
(Never going to sign the papers)
Sebastian couldn’t believe Vivienne just did that. The woman he thought would never stand up for herself because she was in love with him?
No, not Vivienne. He can’t lose her, he still has a lot of things to use her for.
She was a rich girl, she’s loaded with cash that flows in to her account each passing day.
How could he let that kind of a person leave his life? Not with Vivienne.
“Forget about her, Sebastian. I am here to attend to all your needs. Don’t forget, I am a model and earning a lot.” She rubbed his face.
Sebastian didn’t even know Seraphina was still in that room. Now that his wife wasn’t interested in him anymore, Seraphina was no use to him too.
“I need some time to myself.” He closed his eyes.
“We need time together, sweetheart.” She rubbed his chest.
Sebastian got so angry. But who was he to blame if not himself? He thought if he do that with Vivienne’s sister, then she would change her mind and return back to his house.
He didn’t know he was making the biggest mistake of his life. The mistake that would never let him get closer to Vivienne again.
“Get out!” he shouted at her.
Seraphina didn’t spend another second in the office again after he thundered at her to leave.
She picked up her bag and almost ran out of the office.
She increased her pace hoping she was going to meet Vivienne outside but she didn’t.
“The audacity!” Sebastian punched the desk in anger.
“How dare she!” He rose to his feet and left the office thinking he would find Vivienne outside but he didn’t.
He only saw Seraphina looking around which showed she was also looking for her sister.
Sebastian didn’t stop there, he went straight to the parking lot ignoring Seraphina who followed him to enter the car.
But as soon as he entered, he locked the doors then zoomed off, leaving her so embarrassed.
She stamped her feet on the ground in anger, clenching her fist. She knew he was going after Vivienne whom she hated the most in her life.
Ever since Vivienne ventured in to the entertainment industry, Seraphina has been so jealous of her.
She wanted joining the industry too but no one was willing to take her.
Then she decided to start modelling hoping that some day, she would be superior to Vivienne.
And when the news of Vivienne’s wedding went to them, she wasn’t happy that Vivienne would be marrying a rich dude.
But after everyone started complaining of Vivienne’s absence, Seraphina became so happy that she took her career so serious.
And now she was filing for a divorce? Then that means she might return back to acting and everything she had worked hard for would crumble down.
Sebastian tried to locate where Vivienne would have gone but Alas, he couldn’t. She wasn’t on the street like he had thought he would see her.
And he didn’t even know who he was going to ask about her because her face was covered. Maybe someone would have seen her boarding a taxi or the Bus.
“Damnit!” He slapped the steering wheel. How could she think of doing that nonsense! Not with him.
Sebastian drove straight to the house. He didn’t know what he would do there because he knew Vivienne wouldn’t be there. But maybe if he tell his Mum what Vivienne was trying to do, then she might help him.
“What’s wrong with you?” His Mum, who was in the living room asked him. She was startled when she saw him barged inside the living room just like that.
“You can’t believe what Vivienne is up to,” he said I’m anger.
Vivienne? His Mum was surprised. Wasn’t Vivienne out of the house already? Why then was he bothering himself about her?
“Mum, that woman came to my company with a divorce paper and wanted me to sign it.”
His Mum was shocked. Vivienne, divorce papers? Vivienne that would fall on her knees whenever a divorce topic was brought up? No, she didn’t believe him.
“You are kidding, right?”
“I am not, Mum. She brought it, her sister was there. Do you think I am going to get angry just like that?”
Her sister? His Mum wanted to believe that wasn’t what she heard. But that wasn’t a big deal, he can hang out with anyone he likes.
“And where are the papers?” she asked him. “I tore them in to pieces. I’ll never sign it, she’s my wife and she’ll continue to be my wife.”
“I’m never going to sign that paper. Vivienne doesn’t know what she’s doing, Mum. And I’m going to bring her back in to this house. She’ll never set her foot out of this house again, never!” He stormed out of the house after saying that to his Mum.
The woman was confused. If Vivienne needed a divorce, then he should give it to her.
Why was he acting like she’s the only woman on earth? There are different ladies out there that are interested in her son.
Vivienne doesn’t worth his love. She didn’t even like her right from the beginning.
But because Sebastian was head over hills for her, she let him be. And because he promised he was going to make her stop acting.
“I knew this will happen,” she nodded her head.
“I just hope Sebastian would give her what she wants because she isn’t welcome in my house anymore.”
