Chapter 13

His Mum’s death he said? She remembered that more than anyone else. But that wasn’t her problem, she never cared about that woman’s death.

Even when she was still alive, she didn’t do anything for her. Sterling’s Mum knew she liked her son but she never even cared to talk to Sterling about her.

It was as if the woman didn’t like her going to that house. But now that she was no longer alive, then that house would be her abide forever.

Isabella grinned mischievously, she stopped to catch her breath and then continued jogging again.

But she didn’t go far, she stopped at a tree and sat on the bench under it.

“Oh my God!” She patted her chest.

“It’s been long I run like this.” She threw her head backward, inhaling the scented air from the flowers.

Now that she was outside, the Hawthorn’s mansion had really changed.

She saw some other buildings at the side of the apartment and also a very large Pool near the glass garden.

“This is beautiful,” she nodded her head.

But she wasn’t surprised, Sterling really loved everything bright.

And luckily, her skin was fair and her eyes too were bright. But not as bright like that of the actress he always admired.

Thinking of the actress, Isabella lifted a brow. It has been so long she heard about her. She didn’t know what happened to her that she ceased appearing on the TV.

“Let’s see…” She picked out her phone from the pouch in her arm.

Grr! Grr!

“Hey babe, what’s up?”

“Hi Isa, cool. Why the call this early?” she could hear her friend yawned from the other end.

“Tell me you are still on the bed, girl.” Isabella shook her head.

Unlike her who loves exercising every morning and in her spare time, her friends were her opposite.

They’ll rather spend their free time eating junks and sleeping, or watching movies.

“That aside.” She waved her hand, interrupting her friend from talking.

“That actress, what was her name again?” Isabella stopped to remember her name.

“Who’s that?” Her friend yawned again.

“The lady with the bright eyes?” Isabella heaved a sigh of relief.

“Yes, she.”

“Oh that’s Vivienne Montague. Why?” Isabella scoffed. Why would she ask about her if not to know what she was in to?

“Oh I remember, she’s the girl Sterling always watched her movies.” Her friend laughed shortly.

Isabella got annoyed. But it wasn’t her friend’s fault, it was her fault for letting her know Sterling loved Vivienne’s movies back then.

“I’m sorry.” She apologized.

“Just tell me if you know, I don’t have time for this.”

She grew so impatient. Isabella regretted asking her friend about Vivienne, she knew her friend was going to inform their other friends that she asked of Vivienne.

“She got married a year ago.” Isabella’s eyes brightened up.

She got married? Then that was such a wonderful news. If that girl got married, then she has no fear of losing Sterling to anyone.

But who did she got married to? Isabella wanted to know. Maybe one of her Co actors or someone else.

“Do you know who her husband is?” she asked again, sounding like someone who didn’t even care.

“I think that should be… Uhm… I don’t remember, Isa. But it’s someone you know. He’s popular,”

Isabella nodded her head. She didn’t know who that was but since her friend said he was popular, then she concluded it was an actor.

“But no one has heard from her ever since she got married. Rumors has it that her husband stopped her from acting and he also seized her property.”

Ahh rumors, Isabella hates them. She didn’t like anything that has to do with rumors. It’s either she was there, the person she was enquiring from was there or nothing.

“You know what? Forget about that. I hate rumors. That wouldn’t even be true. How can her husband do that to her? She’s a powerful actress that everyone wanted to sponsor, remember?”

Isabella sighed. “We’ll talk later.” She hung up on her.

She sneered. How could that even be possible? A successful woman turned in to a local woman by a man? Not even something to believe.

She stood up from the bench and jogged back to the mansion.

When she entered, she went straight to the stairs, ignoring the servants that were greeting her in the living room.

But she paused when she got to the corridor, staring at Sterling’s room.

The memory of last night came back in to her head which made her hissed.

Isabella turned to her room instead and went in.

“Who cares about him when he doesn’t even care about me.” She shut the door.

Well, one thing was sure. No one would come in between her with Sterling. Even that actress, she was already married.

“Time to go Flex with the girls.”

She went inside the bathroom, freshened up and left the house.

She wanted to make breakfast for him but changed her mind after what he did to her the previous day.

( Pure Heart Entertainment)

All the directors, Managers, shareholders, and sponsors of PURE HEART ENTERTAINMENT were all gathered in the largest meeting hall in the company.

It was an urgent meeting which none of them knew why they were called so urgent.

They were all busy in their respective companies when they received an email from the industry for an urgent meeting.

They were all gathered there including the president of the company but one person was yet to Grace their presence.

“Can’t we just start this? We are all busy in our companies.”

One of the shareholders said impatiently. They’ve been sitting there for more than an hour already but he was yet to come.

“No, we can’t start without him. Let’s just wait for him, he’ll soon be here. You all know how busy he is.”

Another one tried to calm them down. But Sebastian who was sitting at the far end of the meeting raised his voice.

“We are also busy people, remember? And our company’s aren’t Statues,”

Marcus scoffed. Sitting right there, he wished he could develop the power to strangle Sebastian to death.

How could he even have the mouth to speak at that moment?

Well, he didn’t blame him much. If he knew why that meeting was called, he wouldn’t be sitting there.

“He’s here.” someone announced from outside.

Everyone including the president of the company stood on their feet except Sebastian.

“Mr. Hawthorn?” Everyone greeted, bowing their heads excitedly.

You wouldn’t know they were the people complaining about him coming late.

The president left his chair for Sterling to sit on and he sat between the shareholders.

“Mr. Hawthorn wants you to sit.” Assistant Mike announced.

Everyone sat down, smiling at Sterling as if they’d seen an angel.

“Mr. Hawthorn, I didn’t know you are one of the partners of this company.”

One of the men said but got no response.

Sebastian scoffed at each of their words. He wondered why they were acting that way because they saw Sterling.

What was even the big deal about him that everyone wanted to be with him? He was just a guy and nothing more.

Sebastian already didn’t like Sterling. If he knew Sterling would be gracing that meeting, he wouldn’t have even come.

But because an urgent meeting was called, he thought it was about sharing their profits as that day was the Industry’s payday.

When Sterling lifted up his head, his eyes fell on Sebastian who was staring at him.

Sterling’s blood started boiling inside. He clenched his fist looking hard at Sebastian who wouldn’t take his eyes away.

“That jerk.” Sterling cursed under his breath.

How could he even show his face to the world after what he did to his wife?

An heartless human being, sitting in the midst of people with heart.

“Let’s start the meeting since Mr. Hawthorn is here.” The president of the company cleared his throat and glanced at Marcus before he started speaking.

“Thank you all for honoring this great meeting.” He thanked everyone present there.

“I know some of you might be thinking this meeting is about the profit because today is the pay day.”

Sebastian lifted a brow. That wasn’t about the profit? Then what was it?

“You mean you gathered us here not because of our pay?”

Sterling frowned his face. He didn’t need to be told who said that because the voice was already familiar.

“I’m sorry about that, Mr. Penelope. But this is something serious that needs attention,”

Sebastian hissed. He slouched on the chair still staring at Sterling who was sitting there as if he was the owner of the company.

“Sorry about that, everyone.” The president apologized.

He glanced at Marcus again and Marcus stepped forward then handed him a document.

“I’m sure you all know Mr. Marcus?” he pointed at Marcus who was standing beside him.

Some of them knew him while others that recently joined the company didn’t.

Sebastian didn’t even look at him as he already saw him when he came in to the company.

“Mr. Marcus’s actress that has been absent from the world is back…”

Sebastian quickly lifted up his head. Mr. Marcus actress? Wasn’t that Vivienne? Or did he has another actress under him again?

But the president said she was back. Wasn’t Vivienne the one that has been absent from the world?

Sebastian looked at Marcus and the look Marcus gave him made him realized it was Vivienne they were talking about.

“She’s back?” The crowd broke in to noise.

“She’s alive? We thought she’s no longer alive.”

“Are you sure it was her you saw? Maybe it’s another person.”

“Is she really back? Then we need to see her.”

Everyone was talking at the same time except those that didn’t know who they were talking about.

Among them was Sterling but he didn’t show any sign. He only sat there with his eyes closed, listening to all the talks going on in the hall.

“Silence please, don’t forget Mr. Hawthorn is here and doesn’t like noise.”

The president reminded them. They all went mute at once and the hall became so quiet once more.

“So, as I was saying…”

He picked up the remote from the table and turned on the large television in the hall.

“Vivienne Montague?”

The ones that didn’t know who they were talking about earlier on exclaimed.

That was when Sterling lifted up his head.

Vivienne Montague, his favorite actress? His face brightened up.

So she was back? It was because of her he joined that company but never saw her.

Where then was she? Sterling wanted to know.

He stared at the large picture of Vivienne on the screen and Sebastian too.

Sebastian was angry. Why would they suddenly bring that woman’s topic when he was there? Was the president doing that on purpose or what?

“Yes, Vivienne Montague is back in the city and she’s requesting to come back to the industry.” The president announced.

Requesting to come back to the industry? Is she out of her mind? Sebastian cursed under his breath.

“You all know Vivienne was the best actress we had in this industry before she got married and disappeared.” The president went on.

“And now that she’s back, why don’t we bring her back? After all, she still has a lot of fans out there that are eagerly waiting for her return.”

“So, your votes are all needed for bring her back in to this industry.” He concluded.

“Bring her back? But what use would she be for us when we already have another actress who’s the talk of the country?”

One of the men sitting beside Sebastian raised a motion.

“Yes, he’s right. We already have Sabrina Vanguard and she’s the one everyone loves.” Another one added.

“Sabrina should continue be our favorite actress. She’s the reason why some of us decided to partner with this industry.”
