The Billionaire’s Obsession
Chapter 33
Chapter 35
That wasn’t his concern since he doesn’t even love Isabella.
Sterling tightened his tie, picked his phone and left the house.
It was such a busy day at the company especially the Entertainment department.
Preparations were already ongoing for the first movie they’ll be shooting in the company which will bring back Vivienne’s face to the industry.
Sterling was more happier than anyone else. And he knew with determination and hard work, things would turn out well for his company.
Only he knew the advantage that was going to bring to him when the movie sold out well.
He has no problem with Vivienne’s acting but the other actresses and actors, they’ll have to under series of Trainings as they are new in the industry.
“Mr. Hawthorn Boss?” Assistant Mike greeted.
Sterling nodded his head with his back turned on Assistant Mike.
“Mr. Hawthorn, everything is going smoothly in the company and also the new department. And for the new movie, I’ve brought two script writers.” Sterling turned around.
“Believe me, Mr. Hawthorn. They are the best in the country. I made sure I searched well before choosing them,” he explained with smiles on his face.
Sterling nodded his head. He was the one that told Assistant Mike to bring good script writers.
But he didn’t know that would be so soon. He was impressed by Assistant Mike’s good job and would have promoted him if there was another thing other than an Assistant.
“Where are they?” he asked, picking his phone.
“In the meeting hall, waiting for you, Mr. Hawthorn.”
“Mr. Hawthorn, thank you for choosing us among all the script writers in this country.”
The men bowed to him one after the other. They were so excited that they would be working with Mr. Hawthorn of all people.
That was a dream come true for anyone in that city. Even if you were hired to clean his shoes every day, that was also a dream come true.
Sterling nodded to him. Waiting for them to start saying something about the movie.
“Mr. Kenneth, can you start with the Introduction please?” Assistant Mike requested after seeing the look on Sterling’s face.
“Sure.” The middle aged man brought out a document from his suitcase and the other one did same.
“This document contains samples of the works we’ve done for Pure Heart Entertainment. We want Mr. Hawthorn to go through it and decide which one we should go with,”
Sterling frowned his brows. How could they bring samples from his rival company?
He wanted something new, something impressive and not a cliché or plagiarized work.
“This is nonsense.” Sterling slapped the desk starling the men.
“I want something from your head not what you’ve done for Pure Heart Entertainment.”
“Have you forgotten that company is now my rival in business? How do you want me to use anything from them?” He scolded.
The men quickly apologized before they angered Sterling and lose their opportunity.
“We are so sorry Mr. Hawthorn, we didn’t mean to upset you.” Mr. Kenneth apologized.
“Please forgive our rude manners, Mr. Hawthorn.” Mr. Cole apologized too.
Sterling sighed inside. He was happy that morning but the men were trying to make him angry.
“Mr. Kenneth and Cole, I brought you here because I’ve found you to he good in what you do.” Assistant Mike called their attention.
“I want you to come up with something fresh, something that no one has ever come up with. And it shouldn’t be what others has used before.” He instructed.
“Yes, Assistant Mike. Thank you for seeing the best in us and given us this opportunity to work with this company. We are sorry for being unprofessional. We assured you, you are doing to enjoy working with us.” Mr. Kenneth thanked Mike.
“Now I’m listening. What role do you think will be suitable for Vivienne Montague?” Sterling asked them, slouching on the chair.
“Just like always, Vivienne as being the Idol of the entertainment industry that everyone loves.” Mr. Cole started.
“Giving her a told suitable for her would make people love her like always. But why don’t we change her role in this movie?” He suggested.
Sterling stared at them, waiting for any one of them to explain what Mr. Cole meant.
Changing her role as how? Vivienne has only one role, playing the sweet girl everyone loves and the girl being treated bad by her step mum.
That was her major role when she was still in the entertainment industry and the only role that made people love her.
Wouldn’t changing her role make people lose interest in her movies?
“Mr. Hawthorn, changing her role would be a big sale to the company. People want to see the other roles she can play…”
“According to acting rules, an actor or actress shouldn’t always be given one role all the time. That would bored her fan and make them lose interest in her movies.” Mr. Kenneth explained.
( Change Vivienne’s role)
As far as Sterling knew, none of Vivienne’s fans would get bored with her movies.
He’s also her fan and he wouldn’t be bored seeing her acting one role all the time.
That’s what makes the people loves her. Being the pitiful girl suffering in a movie.
“I think that isn’t a good idea.” Assistant Mike chipped in.
Sterling was glad even Assistant Mike thought that was stupid.
How can Vivienne’s role he changed when she’s just about to return back to the screen?
“I think we should stick to her old role.” Sterling suggested.
“I’m sorry Mr. Hawthorn. But I think since she’s coming back again after a while, why don’t she come back as a new person?”
“I believe people won’t be attached to her movies anymore if she return with her old style. We should try to change something about her. Instead of being the weak one, why don’t she become the strong one now?”
“Rumors has it that her husband was maltreating her before she decided to leave the house. I’m sure the people wants to see the new Vivienne,”
Sterling sighed inside. Talking about changing Vivienne wasn’t a good idea for him.
Why not allow her to continue the way she way before then they allow the audience to decide if they still want her movie or not?
What Scares him is changing her role and become a big slap on his face.
Wouldn’t the other entertainment companies laugh at them?
“Let’s just stick with the old role and that’s final.” Sterling stood up from the chair.
“Write something new, Mr. Kenneth and Cole. No cliché and do not change her character.” Sterling gave his final instructions and left.
He wouldn’t tolerate it if they try to do that. And even if they try it, he would find out because he would be there to see her acting in front of him.
Still, the scriptwriters weren’t happy that Sterling wanted them to write her old character.
“Assistant Mike, why don’t you try talking to Mr. Hawthorn to see if he would change his mind?” Mr. Cole asked him.
They still want him to agree to it so they would bring a masterpiece.
“Forget about it, Mr. Cole. You both heard what he said. And if you go against him, then it won’t turn out to be good. Why don’t you just do as he want? I also support him in this.”
The men exchanged glances and shrugged their shoulders.
Since he was going to pay them, then they’d better do what he want.
“I’ll take you both to your offices now.” They returned the documents inside their suitcases and followed Mike out of the hall.
Mike introduced them to Marcus who was supervising the new actors that were being trained.
“These are Mr. Kenneth and Mr. Cole, the new scriptwriters of the department.” Assistant Mike announced.
“Scriptwriters?” Marcus raised his brows.
Why chose a Scriptwriter when he was around? And why would they hire them when he was the head of the department and in charge of all that concern the department?
“Assistant Mike, I think you are going beyond the limit.” Mr. Marcus said, making both Mr. Kenneth and Cole exchanged glances.
“What do you mean, Mr. Marcus?” Assistant Mike asked him.
“I think I should be the one to decide on who to hire in this department not you. You are Mr. Hawthorn’s Assistant and I think you should stick to that.”
Seeing how things were going, Mr. Kenneth quickly intervened before Marcus would anger Mike.
“Mr. Marcus, I think you should respect Assistant Mike’s decision. He’s right hand to Mr. Hawthorn and has the right to do anything in all of the departments.”
Marcus diverted his attention to Mr. Kenneth who had just spoken.
“I wasn’t talking to you, Mr. Kenneth or whatever your name is. And for saying he has the right to do anything in the departments, that’s pure nonsense.” He turned to Assistant Mike.
“You shouldn’t do that in this department. If there’s anything you want to do, you just confront me first. Do not forget I was Vivienne’s manager.”
Assistant Mike nodded his head. He knew Marcus was Vivienne’s manager but that didn’t change anything.
“I think you should go speak to Mr. Hawthorn to stop involving me in anything regarding this department.” Assistant Mike smiled at him.
“Mr. Kenneth and Cole, Mr. Marcus will show you to your office. I’m off.” They bowed their heads to him and he left.
Marcus hissed loudly ignoring the men that were sitting there, waiting for him to take them to their offices.
He was so angry that Sterling didn’t confront him first before deciding on bringing the scriptwriters to the department.
He too has many people that were good in writing movies. And worse, he already promised more than three people he was going to hire them as the scriptwriters of the department.
He has already discussed the movie he wanted them to write and they were already working on it.
“Mr.Marcus?” Mr. Cole brought his attention back to them.
“Where is our office Located? We need to start working right away.”
Marcus clenched his first under the desk. That was a slap on his face. How could Mr. Hawthorn already given them work to do?
“What movie are you working on?” he asked run just to be sure it tallied with what he want.
“As usual. Mr. Hawthorn wants her to come out as the sweet weak girl she’s always seen on set,” he said.
Marcus hissed in his head. That wasn’t what he wanted Vivienne to act.
“And again, we tried to make him understand that changing her role would bring more fans and people would like her.” Marcus looked at Cole.
“As how?” he asked.
“We want her to be a strong female lead instead of a week one,”
Marcus scoffed. That was the stupidest thing he has ever heard.
Making Vivienne a strong female lead? The other companies would laugh at them.
“Don’t even try that. It’s making me sick already.” He clicked his tongue on the palate continuously.
“Then what is your suggestion? Since you don’t want her to be weak or strong?”
Marcus nodded his head. The role he want her to play in the movie was different from the ones Sterling and the men wants.
But he wouldn’t tell them since they won’t even work with it.
“Forget about it. I’ll take you to your offices.”
( Convince him to change his mind)
“Ms. Vivienne, you have a guest.” Lia announced to Vivienne who was going through her phone.
Vivienne raised a brow, she didn’t invite anyone. And she wasn’t expecting anyone at that moment.
“Who’s that?” she asked Lia who was arranging the dressing table.
“He said his name’s Mr. Marcus.”
“Oh Marcus?” she stood up from the bed.
“That’s my ex manager. I’ll be right back.” she quickly left the room to go meet Marcus.
