Chapter 53

Sterling followed the direction of Assistant Mike’s finger and saw who he has been looking for months now.

“Isn’t that the lady you have been…” Before Assistant Mike could finish what he was saying, Sterling was already out of the car.

He dialed Vivienne’s number as he hastened to where she was standing.

“Where are you?” Came Vivienne’s voice after answering the call.

She turned around and when their eyes met, Sterling froze in a spot.

That was the Vivienne he has been looking for. Her sparkling eyes inside the scarf was that of the Vivienne he always saves few months ago.

Vivienne didn’t know why he was looking at her that way as if that was his first time seeing her.

She approached him where he was standing and touched his hand to bring him back to his senses.

With heart beating like a drum, Sterling held her wrist and dragged her closer to himself.

“Are you Sebastian’s wife?”

Vivienne was shocked. She wondered how Sterling found out Sebastian was her husband.

She hasn’t tell any of them about that. They only knew about her marriage not who her husband was.

And why was Sterling asking her that all of a sudden? He looked like someone who has been looking for something for a long time now.

“I… Uhm…” Vivienne lowered her gaze when she didn’t know what to say.

She wasn’t ready to tell anyone Sebastian was her husband especially Sterling. She wanted him to know after he sign the divorce papers.

“Tell me the truth, Vivienne.” He urged her.

Vivienne hesitated for some moments and sighed. Since he already known about that, there was no need hiding it from him.

“Yes.” she said.

Both Sterling and Assistant Mike gasped at the same time. Who knew who they were looking for was always with them.

“Oh my God!” Assistant Mike exclaimed.

“Mr. Hawthorn, you remember I once told you Ms. Vivienne could be the Vivienne you’ve been looking for?” he chuckled happily.

Vivienne raised a brow. They’ve being looking for her? Why? What has she done?

“Ms. Vivienne, do you recognize Mr. Hawthorn?” he asked her.

But Vivienne only recognize him as her Boss in the company.

“Do you remember those times you were always save by a stranger when your good for nothing husband always sent you to hotels?”

Vivienne’s eyes widened up. It can’t be true that Sterling was the one saving her.

But why didn’t he open her scarf whenever he saved her?

“Mr. Hawthorn?” She covered her mouth.

“I’ve been looking for you too but… But I gave up when I couldn’t find you.” She tightened her mouth.

Sterling didn’t know what else to do. Was he to cry, to be happy or to scream?

The woman he has been looking for was the Vivienne he brought to his company?

No wonder Sebastian was against her coming back to the industry. Why didn’t he even think about that for once?

Vivienne removed the scarf on her face and sighed deeply.

“Thank you so much, Mr. Hawthorn. I owe you a lot. If not for you, I have no idea what Sebastian would have turned me in to.” she sniffled.

Vivienne was movies to tears. She didn’t know there were still good men in the world.

Sebastian taught her men were monster. But it was the same man that was saving her from his evil inclinations. And the same man that brought her back to the industry when he was against it.

He also went as far as giving her a place to stay, luxuries in her name and everything she needed.

Seeing her already in tears weakened his heart. But if he also had the chance, then he would cry too.

Tears of joy for finding the woman he has in his heart. Someone he thought he was never going to see again.

“Where’s Assistant Li?” Assistant Mike asked Vivienne who was wiping the tears in her eyes.

“He went over there to get me something to eat.” she pointed at the restaurant not far away from them.

Assistant Mike excused himself to go see what was taking him so long that he hasn’t returned.

“Are you alright?” Sterling asked her after Assistant Mike has left.

Vivienne nodded her head because that was the only thing she could do.

It was such a shame for her that Sterling found out she got married to that rascal.

She knew Fowler too was going to be disappointed when he found out Sebastian was her husband.

No one in their rightful senses would want to become Sebastian’s wife.

She ignored the red flags while they were still dating just because she loved him.

Maybe if she had paid much attention to the red flags, she wouldn’t have married him.

“Sorry I’m late.” Assistant Li apologized.

“They’re still cooking. Can I wait behind to get it for you?” he asked Vivienne.

“No, that’s fine. I think we should get going now. I’m so tired.”

“You don’t know this, Ms. Vivienne. But Mr. Hawthorn fell in love with you the very first day he bumped in to you at the Mall.” Assistant Mike said to her after they were back in the camp.

He fell in love with her? Wait a second, was he the man that she bumped in to the day Sebastian sent her to get him a jewelry?

Vivienne was speechless. She didn’t care to look at his face that day but he fell in love with her.

“Mr. Hawthorn and I searched everywhere for you but none of us could find you. The only information we got about you was that you are Mr. Penelope’s wife. That’s why Mr. Hawthorn doesn’t like Sebastian up to date.”

Vivienne wasn’t surprised. But she thought Sebastian and Sterling were having beef because each of them owned a company.

Not knowing that it was because of her. Sterling didn’t even know that she was the Vivienne who was Sebastian’s wife but he helped her.

What would she do to repay him? She thought as Assistant Mike went away to go get her something to eat.

Instead of Assistant Mike, Sterling was the one that brought her some snacks and drinks.

“I… I sent Mike to get me something.” he said while putting down the snacks on the dressing table.

“Oh, thank you.” She lowered her head.

Because there was no chair or sofa in the room, Sterling stood there with his hands insisted his pocket.

“You can sit here.” she patted the bed.

“It’s okay, I can manage here,” Sterling smiled.

He didn’t want to sit on the bed with her afraid that something might happen.

They stayed silent for a while until Vivienne decided to speak.

“Assistant Mike told me everyt…” she was interrupted by Fowler who just came in to the room without knocking.

“Where have you been, girl? It’s so boring here without you.”

He sat on the bed without asking if he could sit there or not.

When Vivienne glanced at Sterling, he wasn’t happy with what Fowler just did.

Fowler didn’t only stop at sitting on the bed, he also grabbed the snacks from the table and started eating them one after the other.

Out of annoyance, Sterling left the room. Vivienne wanted to follow him but Fowler engaged her in a talk which stopped her from going after Sterling.

She wasn’t happy with what Fowler did but she ignored it just for peace to reign.

The days that passed by, Sterling developed more and more love for Vivienne. But he didn’t know how he was going to confess to her about it.

He had tried doing that once but failed. The only thing worrying Sterling and always making him angry was whenever he saw Fowler with Vivienne.

Fowler knew what he was doing. Because a day would never pass by that he wouldn’t interrupt his discussion with Vivienne.

“Where’s Vivienne?” Sterling closed the door to her room.

He has been looking everywhere for her that day but hasn’t found her.

Everyone has already left to where they would be going that day.

He has been waiting for Vivienne outside to come out so they’ll leave together.

But she didn’t come out which was unlike her. Still, she wasn’t in the room when he went to call her out.

Sterling decided to go check the garden where she was always in whenever she wasn’t together with the people.

Just before he could reach there, he saw her with Fowler sitting on the same bench.

Whatever they were talking about, Sterling didn’t like that.

He frowned his face seeing them together. If it was other days, he would have turned and left that place but he was already fed up with what Fowler was doing.

Snatching Vivienne away from him wasn’t what he wanted.

He went straight to the garden and faced Vivienne.

“I’ve been looking all over the place for you, Vivienne. What are you doing here?” he asked her.

Vivienne was surprised with the way Sterling was talking to her.

It wasn’t like she did that on purpose, but she forgot they would be going out that day.

“Let’s go.” He grabbed her wrist but Fowler stopped him before Vivienne could stand up.

“Not so fast, Mr. Hawthorn. Didn’t you see me here?” he teased but Sterling wasn’t there for a joke.

And for the fact that Fowler held Vivienne’s other hand didn’t go well with Sterling.

“Vivienne and I are having an important conversation. Maybe you should come back later,” Fowler said.

Come back later? Because Fowler was speaking with Vivienne? What an insult.

“You can speak to her later when we are back. Vivienne, let’s go,” Sterling said and Vivienne nodded her head.

She stood up from the bench but Fowler stood up and held her other hand again.

“She isn’t going anywhere, Mr. Hawthorn. I’m not done talking to her,” Fowler insisted.

“Please guys, let’s not do this. Fowler, we’ll talk when I’m back,” Vivienne said to him but Fowler wouldn’t let her go.

Sterling got so upset and the next thing he did, he released Vivienne’s hand and grabbed Fowler by the collar.

“What do you want, Fowler. What do you want with Vivienne?” He pinned him on the pillar.

“What you want with Vivienne is what I want with her too. Get off of me, Sterling!” Fowler commanded.

But Sterling didn’t release him. He knew it was his mistake to include Fowler in his movie from the first place.

All those wouldn’t have been happening. He would have always be together with Vivienne without anyone interrupting them.

“Stay away from Vivienne, she isn’t one of those actresses that run after you!” Sterling gnarled at him.

“Oh you are mistaken. Vivienne is part of them. What do you think she is, a saint?” Fowler grinned.

“Don’t you dare compare her with those sluts that follows you around.” Sterling released his collar.

“And from now henceforth, I don’t want to see you together with Vivienne again,” he warned.

Sterling turned his back on Fowler to leave but Fowler said something that pained him.

“Leave Vivienne alone, Sterling. Do you think we don’t know why you have Vivienne by your side? To use her and gain more fame. You are only going to ruin her life the way you ruined your mother’s life.”

Sterling’s heart started palpitating, balls of sweats rolled down his forehead.

How dare Fowler bring his late Mum in to that conversation. And how did he ruined her life? That woman fell sick and died in her sickness. Was that his fault?

He clenched his fist, turned around and have Fowler a hard blow on his mouth.

“Oh no!” Vivienne screamed.

Vivienne became so terrified seeing Sterling and Fowler engaged in a fight which was all because of her.

She looked around to see if there was anyone that would help separate those two as they were already exchanging blows and pushing each other on the ground.
