Chapter 25: Never Pity Those Who Don’t Pity Me

Aria’s POV

At first, I thought Lana was found until I saw Kael holding a servant lady’s neck between his huge fingers.

The atmosphere was scary and the air was filled with terror because of the gravity of his anger.

I’d wondered what the girl had done until the servants behind me started whispering.

“I knew that she would be caught red handed someday.”

“I warned her to stop doing what she was doing.”

“Why will she try to kill her? She isn’t scared of the brothers.”

“I pity her because she is going to die too.”

“Alpha Kael has ordered someone to bring the poison, I think he is going to make her drink it.”

Only when someone said the last sentence did I understood what was going on.

The servant Kael had strangled was the one that poisoned me. I should have known it was her because she was the one who cooked for me that morning.

But why would she poison me?

She has never crossed my path to provoke me before and I have never take it out on her.

“Silence!”

Kael commanded, his tone sending all the servants on their knees.

“Someone ordered you to poison Aria, say their name!”

He barked at her, still holding her neck between his fingers.

She couldn’t talk, she was only coughing. Even her eye balls were so red and wide in terror as if they would pop out of their sockets.

Kael released her neck, making her fell on the floor.

“Speak!”

She patted her chest, coughing so hard as she dragged her butt backward.

“I…i… nobody ordered me.”

She cried out, rubbing her palms together, seeking for mercy.

“Liar!”

Rafe thundered, shaking the whole building.

“Speak now or I blast your head!”

He pulled the trigger, pointing the gun towards her head.

“You and the idiot that ordered you to do this will rot in jail!”

Damien added, then slapped her so hard that she fell sideways.

Only Elias didn’t say a word, but his fingers were clenched into a fist and he was breathing so hard.

I’ve never seen them so angry ever since I stepped into the pack until that day.

They all looked different, like they were sent from another world to take vengeance. And all that was because their sister was wronged “me”

Their actions brought tears into my eyes, the kind I couldn’t stop from falling. I didn’t know I had people who cared about me like that. They said they will protect me no matter what, and there they were, already fulfilling their promise.

“Boss, it is here.”

When I veered towards the door, one of Kael’s bodyguards was holding a little bottle. And even though my vision was blurred by the tears, I could see that it was poison.

Fear gripped me, my heart started palpitating. They were going to kill her just as Kael had threatened.

“It isn’t like you are going to be spared, but this is your last chance to mention their name!”

“Kael…”

Elias held my hand, drawing me back.

“If you don’t want to see it, I will shield you.”

He placed my face on his chest, then covered my ears. Suddenly, he released his hands from my ears, and someone held my hand from the back.

“She is the Alpha leader, so she must punish the offender.”

My heart skipped a beat hearing Kael said that. They didn’t have to involve me, they should have done it themselves.

“But I’ve never kill anyone before.”

My voice trailed off,

“You aren’t killing, you are punishing.”

What’s the difference? Forcing her to take poison was equal to killing her.

“I can’t.”

I whispered amidst tears,

Kael cupped my face.

“Listen to me, Aria. You are a leader, an Alpha, you shouldn’t be a coward. From now on, you will carry out prosecutions and executions, that is your duty, and punishing the wrongdoers is your job. You cannot turn a blind eye to someone who tries to kill you.”

He opened the lid and placed the bottle in my hand.

“Make her drink it.”

Kael stepped aside, giving me way to go to her.

Seeing her crying and pleading bitterly made me not want to do it, but my brothers stares scared me and my legs started moving towards her.

“Alpha Aria, please spare me. I have parents that I take care of. If I die, they will end up dying. They have no one to take care of them.”

A scoff escaped my lips, and anger started rising in my chest like a wave.

So she was scared of dying because of her parents, but she didn’t care about my own life. What a dramatic girl.

“So my life is nothing, right?”

She lowered her head.

“I am a nobody, right? No one wants me, correct? My life isn’t important?”

“Of course it is, I am so sorry, Alpha Aria.”

She cried bitterly.

“I doubt it. If my life is important, you wouldn’t have poisoned me. Look here…”

I squatted in front of her.

“It is either you mention the name of the person who ordered you to kill me, or I kill you.”

I snapped, but no matter what I said, she never mentioned any name so, instead of wasting my time, I handed over the bottle to her.

“Drink it!”

I snapped, glaring at her.

With trembling hands, she emptied the content in her mouth and before an eye blink, she started coughing and blood started gushing out of her mouth.

I got up, turned my back on her and as I walked towards the stairs, the mansion echoed with the sound of a gunshot.

Rafe couldn’t hold in his anger so he shot her on the head as he had promised.

Kael ordered that her body be dumped in the wood,

Elias took my hand,

And Damien ordered that her entire family be prosecuted over what their daughter did.

“Whoever tries to hurt our sister will face worst than this!”

Kael thundered at the servants who had witnessed the scene.

I wasn’t happy to see her that way, but the situation taught me one thing; to never pity those who don’t pity me.
