Chapter 30: Her Shameless Attitude

Aria’s POV

Lana was so confident in her words that I couldn’t hold my laughter.

Stab me?

That was the biggest mistake she’ll ever make. The whole spa was surrounded by my escorts, so she wouldn’t step out alive.

And kill my brothers? She must be dreaming. Those dudes are more capable than she imagined.

“Don’t be surprised. I have minions who are all working under them and so close to them. I only need to give them orders and everything will be as I wish.”

“Oh my god! I am so scared!”

I shuddered, hitting my finger nails, stopped, and cracked up.

“Wow!”

I clapped, laughing so hard that it pissed her off. But that wasn’t it, I pushed her on the chest so hass that she fell but flat on the floor.

“My brothers and I are not who you think we are, Lana. If you think threatening me will get you back to the mansion, you have failed.”

I got up from the sofa, and dropped my hands on my waist.

“Your confidence level amuse me, Lana. Get a life!”

“Alpha Aria, who is this?”

Bianca hurried towards us and as soon as she recognized who it was, her jaw dropped, then bed brows creased.

“Miss Lana, you can’t bother Alpha Aria.”

“I ain’t bothering her, I only came to plead for her mercy.”

She started shedding her fake tears again, trying to turn me into the bad person.

“Aria please,”

She sniffled,

“I have learned my lesson, I just…”

“What is Lana doing here?”

Lana shot to her feet as soon as she saw Kael, clutching her bag with trembling hands.

“Get her out of here!”

The bodyguards rushed towards her and grabbed her hands.

“Kael, please!”

They dragged her away and she shamelessly kept wailing.

Gosh! She wouldn’t stop amusing me.

“Ignore her, Lana is up to no good.”

Kael sat on a sofa.

If I were Lana, I wouldn’t have embarrassed myself in public in the name of manipulating someone. But her shameless attitude has ready blinded her.

“Mr. Black?”

Bianca called, drawing his attention.

“You have a meeting with the Crystalmoon pack in thirty minutes,”

Kael nodded, standing up.

“Aria, see you later. Do you…”

He was cut short by the sound of a gunshot.

My heart jumped, so did I from the sofa. People started screaming outside, and my body started trembling.

“An attack, Alpha Kael!”

Kael drew me closer, pinning me on his chest.

The gunshot sounded again, then it stopped all of a sudden. But the lady’s scream didn’t stop, everywhere was in chaos.

“Protect Aria!”

Kael handed me to the bodyguards inside, cracked his fingers and stormed out of the VIP room.

Bianca stood beside, tapping her phone nervously. She was so scared that her fingers quivered, and balls of sweat ran down her forehead as she dialed a number.

“Are you close to Mr. Black? There is an attack over here, Mr. Black and Alpha Aria are here.”

I’d wanted to ask her who she called and which Mr. Black she was referring to, but the tension was so strong that I couldn’t even utter a word.

I was scared to the bone, my legs wobbled, Liza paces restlessly in my mind, and only when the gun shot stopped did I stopped panicking for a bit.

Kael! My mind went to him. What if they shot him? Why would he go out in that situation? I should have stopped him from going.

“Alpha Aria, come back!”

Bianca ran after me, but my legs were too fast for her to stop me. Ever since I started walking around and running, I had never ran that fast before until that day. I didn’t know why, and I didn’t care to know.

Kael was the only one on my mind. I had to see him, I had to save him from being shot by the assassins. However when I got ran outside, I froze.

Among the many pack members on the ground drenched in the pool of blood stood a magnificent wolf. It was so huge, so handsome, so furry… I didn’t even know the rightful words to describe it.

“Mr. Black.”

Bianca gasped, covering her mouth.

That wolf was indeed so mighty that it could only belong to an Alpha. I had never seen Kael’s wolf until that day. It was as handsome as he was in his true form.

“We need to get back inside, Alpha Aria.”

Bianca held my wrist, but someone caught my attention. In the crowd, I saw a guy hiding a gun in his jacket.

Fear took over me, then he slowly pointed it towards the huge wolf.

“Kael! Look out!”

I screamed loudly, but before it could step away, the bullet hit him.

There was nothing I could do to help him, but my legs kept running towards him, but someone grabbed my hand, Rafe did.

“It’s dangerous!”

He dragged me back to the spa pallor while watching Kael’s wolf battled with its life.

“Let me go!”

I cried out, trying to break free from him. Rafe wouldn’t let me go, and he ordered his minions to lock the doors.

“Calm down, Aria.”

“How do you expect me to calm down when Kael is out there? He was shot! We need to save him!”

Rafe hugged me to keep me calm but I managed to break free from him.

“If you can’t help Kael, I will!”

I tried running out, but the door was locked outside.

“Rafe please…”

“That wasn’t Kael!”

He shut me up. My hands froze on the doorknob and slowly, I turned around, sniffling.

“What do you mean?”

He stepped closer, sighed deeply and held my hand.

“That wasn’t Kael, he is fine.”

Seeing the confused look on my face, he went further.

“Kael wasn’t shot, and that wolf wasn’t his.”

Then where was he?

“He is on the way to the hospital.”

The hospital?

“Lana got shot. He is taking her to the hospital.”

If that wasn’t Kael, then who was it? Whose wolf was that? That wolf could only belong to someone with an Alpha blood, someone who is an Alpha himself.
