Return of the Alpha Heiress
Chapter 49: Accidentally Marked
Chapter 50
Aria’s POV
Fortunately, none of my brothers knew what had happened to me. Even when I bumped into Elias on the stairs while heading to the kitchen, he didn’t notice anything. He only petted my cheek and went his way.
Quickly, I got what took me to the kitchen and then headed back to my room. That day, I spent the entire night calling Liza but got no response. At some point, I grew scared of losing her. Even though I wasn’t able to wolf out, her presence in my life was precious.
I have grown so attached to her; I loved her so much and always wanted her for me. If Liza were gone, what was I going to do with my life? Then I would be stripped of my title because nobody would want a wolfless person to rule them.
The next morning, even though I was still weak, I managed to go to the company to deal with the situation on the ground. My assistant, Alissa, had disappeared into thin air.
The report I got when I returned from the city said she was in the company throughout the day, but as soon as she stepped out, an SUV blocked her way and forcibly took her away.
Investigation teams were distributed across the pack for days yet no trace of her was found, not even a glimpse of anything that would lead us to her.
Worst of all, Liza, who had been giving me tips on how to tackle the issue, had disappeared too.
I exhaled worriedly, sat on the chair, and supported my head with my hands. Could Alissa’s disappearance be attributed to the Rogues? Perhaps they’d taken her away to scare me or to suck out information about me.
Whatever the case might be, I only kept on praying they didn’t kill her. She is innocent. Her only offense was working as my assistant.
“Alpha Aria?”
The secretary called softly.
“Someone is here to see you.”
She said, sighing. She was acting as though the person who had shown up was trouble, which prompted me to ask her.
“He said he is the Supreme Alpha.”
As soon as the name escaped her mouth, I shot to my feet, anger swirling in my mind like wind. The Supreme Alpha dared to come to where I was? He was done because I was ready to give him back multiple times what he gave me in his house.
“Get him in.”
An unexpected energy shot into my body when his footsteps approached the door. However, the minute he turned the door handle and walked in, excitement filled my heart. It wasn’t the supreme Alpha; it was Jace.
‘Mate!’
Liza, who had been gone for hours, suddenly sprang up, wagging her tail in excitement. Jace’s presence felt like the best thing that had ever happened to me at that moment. Liza and I were so excited that we felt like embracing him. No, Liza wanted to jump on him, but I managed to control it.
“You are happy to see me.”
He chuckled softly, approaching the chairs.
Of course I was happy to see him, but I suddenly changed my expression so he wouldn’t start looking down on me.
“And why would I?”
I hissed loudly, sat on the chair, and crossed my legs.
‘Do not…’
I blocked the connection with her before she could poison my mind. We didn’t have to look desperate to show Jace we were happy to see him.
“What brought you here? I thought it was your uncle who came when the secretary informed me that the supreme Alpha was here.”
“But I am the supreme Alpha. My uncle is just…”
“Cut me the slack, Jace.”
I scoffed at him, getting up.
“Everyone knows that you aren’t the supreme Alpha, you are just the puppet he plays around with.”
I knew deep down that those words hurt him but it never showed on his face instead, he kept on smiling at me.
“You can say that again, sweetheart, but I have already found out his real intention. I came to inform you that henceforth, the Bloodoon pack will never be threatened by the Rogues.”
“How?”
All I knew was that my brother hadn’t done anything they were planning and Jace’s uncle, the Supreme Alpha won’t stop the Redmoon pack for reasons best known to him.
“I took care of it, Aria.”
He got up and walked towards me.
“For you, there is nothing I won’t do, Aria and I promise you to reclaim the position that belongs to me. If I ascend the throne as the Supreme Alpha, not only the Rogues, but everyone who is planning evil against you in this kingdom will be taken care of.”
He took my hands, planted a kiss on them, and smiled. Gosh! The way he smiled at me and the softness in his voice melted my heart. I didn’t yell at him to release my hands, i couldn’t. His holding me was the only thing I needed right there, and if there was something beyond that, I was ready to submit to him.
While I was so deep in thought, eyes staring into his beautiful eyes, Jace caressed my cheek with his long, smooth fingers. He gently brushed my lips, wrapped his hand around my waist, and drew me closer.
My heart pounded, desperation filled my heart, and the need to have him took over me. He lifted my hands, placed them on his shoulder, and without notice, our lips were entwined in a passionate kiss.
His hands kept sliding up and down my back, and as if that wasn’t enough, he lifted me off my feet, sat me down on the desk, and locked himself between my legs.
I was enjoying all of that–I needed more of it.
“Do you now accept me as your mate?”
He whispered into my ear as he nibbled on my earlobe.
I couldn’t utter a word as what I was feeling at that moment wouldn’t allow words to escape my lips.
He returned his lips to mine, his fingers playing with my already sensitive nipples. I let out a soft moan, drawing him closer to me. Jace’s hand hovered down my tummy, into my skirt, and paused when it touched my clit.
“D…don’t…st…stop!”
I whispered into his ear as he was trying to withdraw his hand. Jace’s lips returned to my neck as if he was searching for something there, and the moment my hand grabbed his manhood, his canines dug into my neck.
The pain was so unbearable that I had to withdraw from him, eyes widened in terror, and heart pounding.
“You marked me.”
