Chapter 55: Teaming with the Alpha Leaders

Aria’s POV

Alpha Hans of the Arkonix pack was the first Alpha in the kingdom to seek acquaintance with me the week I ascended the Alpha leader’s position.

His intention was pure and clear—to be my support, backbone, and also a business partner. To him, partnering with me and befriending him was the best thing that would ever happen to his pack.

To him, I have four brothers, powerful Alpha men who were strong enough to lift the world for me to step on. If I could give him a chance to prove his worth to me, he would never betray me, he would do anything for me, and he would stand beside my brothers to protect me.

Fortunately, I accepted the part to partner with him in business without insulting him or telling him I didn’t need his help. Even with that, Alpha Hans was happy and grateful for the opportunity that I gave him.

He never disturbed me, duped me, or looked down on me. He even commended my brothers for letting their sister be the Alpha leader of a powerful pack and proceeded to take an oath that his daughter would ascend the throne after his demise.

The Arkonix pack was one of the powerful packs in the kingdom, housing millions of werewolves. Their main source of wealth was said to have come from their ancestors, hidden from all the packs. Rumors had it that only the king knew of their main source of income.

Apart from being super rich, they were fearless, strong, assertive, and above all, instilled fear into the minds of their enemies just by their presence.

Calling Hans first was just the perfect thing to do because as he had said, he was already on the edge waiting for my call or message.

After I sent the last message to him, he put a call through and requested that we see the next day which I agreed to.

The following day, a convoy of ten cars drove inside the pack and parked in the company. I was outside to welcome him and truthfully, I was amazed by what I saw.

His escorts were well disciplined, smart, and respectful. They all lined up as Alpha Hans stepped down from the car, his polished black leather shoes illuminating the sun rays.

He removed the glasses on his face, extended his hand for a handshake, and smiled all over his face.

“Thank you for inviting me over, Alpha Aria Black.”

“And thank you for coming, Alpha Hans Morgan. Please come in.”

As I led him to my office, we caught up on the conversation from months ago about the packs. He told me that since I joined hands in business with them, they had been progressing so well, and because of that, the king himself had awarded his pack with an excellent statue.

At the office, after offering him a seat, I sat on my chair, facing him.

“Tea, coffee, or water?”

He hesitated for a while before speaking.

“Just water.”

As soon as the secretary left to get him water, Hans started the conversation on what brought him.

“Which part do you think we should cut off?”

So there were more than one part bringing money to the Rogues in the Arkonix pack. I was just getting to know about it. Seeing me quiet, he continued.

“They have ten investments across all the companies in my pack, summing up to ten billion dollars in profit every year.”

Whoa! That was huge. So with that amount going into their account every year, the Arkonix pack was indeed their main source of income. But one thing was weighing on my mind…

“Why did you agree to partner with the Rogues? They are not one of us.”

He nodded his head, sighing.

“The Rogues have been in business with us for generations now, since our ancestors.”

“Then why didn’t you cancel the collaboration with them?”

“My late father tried to, but the Rogues have strong support from the King and the Supreme Alpha.”

I wasn’t surprised. If it were me, nothing would scare me from not partnering with those fools. The king and the Supreme Alpha can go to hell with it.

“What about you? Scared of them?”

“No, Aria, nothing scares me.”

That was it! Finally! Someone with the same mindset as me.

“Then what is stopping you?”

“I was waiting for an opportunity such as this and here we are.”

The more he spoke, the wider the smile on his face. And actually, he looked so serious about what he said. One would think he might be the one who staged the whole thing so that Alissa’s death would be wrapped around the Rogue’s neck, but he wasn’t.

“So how many parts?”

He asked again, bringing us back to the important agenda.

“How many do you think we can cut?”

Hans was quiet for a while, reminiscing. And after a few minutes of silence and thinking, he snapped his fingers, indicating a great idea.

“What if I cancel seven of their collaborations?”

“Seven?”

He nodded.

“Isn’t seven too little?”

For me, canceling all was enough to send warnings to them that they had provoked the wrong person. After all, I warned them about it yet they refused to listen to me.

“I want all ten of it out of your pack.”

“Your wish is my command, Alpha leader. Consider it done. By tomorrow, the whole internet will be bustling with the news. Even the king and the supreme leader cannot stop this from happening. I must show them that the pack belongs to me and only I have the right to decide what happens there.”

That was the spirit!

If I could instill that mindset in all the Alphas’ hearts, then they wouldn’t stoop so low for those Rogues.

“What next?”

He asked after getting off the phone with his assistant to process the contract termination and to email it to the Redmoon pack.

“I want to team up the Alphas whose packs are partnering with the Redmoon pack.”

He nodded, leaned closer, and dropped his elbows on the desk.

“I have a few Alpha friends I can talk to. All six of them listen to me, so they will listen to you too.”

Good. Things were moving smoothly as I had hoped.

“But why six? There are more than twenty packs in the kingdom.”

“The rest answer to the king and the supreme Alpha, but don’t worry. All the Alphas are connected one way or the other. I am sure the six of them are connected to many more who listen to them.”

That was settled and I was so grateful for the first time Alpha Hans approached me. If I had turned him down, I would have been left wondering what to do.
