Chapter 66: Finding the Truth

Aria’s POV

I didn’t hear that wrong, did I? Kael definitely said I can’t trust Bianca.

Why?

If he was also suspecting her, why keep her as his assistant? Unless he was pulling my leg.

“She has no family members…”

He paused, looking at me.

“So she has nothing to lose.”

So if I shouldn’t trust her, why did he still have her working in his company? And not just an ordinary position but his assistant? Was he keeping her so close to himself to keep an eye on her?

I was confused yet Kael didn’t look like he would give me any deep explanation for that.

“Then fire her.”

“I can’t.”

He said, his brows raised.

“What if she is a bad person? You said I shouldn’t trust her.”

Kael didn’t say another word; he only waved his hand and sat in front of the mirror. Since I couldn’t sit there wasting time, as he wouldn’t answer me again, I got up and left the room.

Since I had already gotten the address of where they would meet, I went to bed wishing tomorrow would come like a blink of an eye.

The next morning came late because that wasn’t how I wanted it to be, so I got dressed, left the house, and went to the company first.

I had already told Bianca to bring me a sample of the employee format she had talked about so I waited for her.

‘What if they’ve decided to see each other before she brings it to you because they’ve found out that you answered the call?’

That definitely made sense and it was possible. There was no way Nina wouldn’t have brought up the conversation about the call looking into how angry she was. Maybe that was why Bianca was staring at my office window the previous day.

Since it was possible, I left the office and instead of going in a convoy to draw attention, I changed into a simple dress and took the taxi.

The address was a restaurant, the biggest restaurant in the pack where Nina had once brought me for a girls’ hangout.

As I sat somewhere far away waiting for them to perhaps show up, my mind started reading me things I couldn’t comprehend.

Should Nina be up to something bad she wouldn’t have told Bianca to meet at an open space. Maybe they were supposed to be friends and Nina decided to hang out.

What was I even saying? The way Nina spoke on the phone was enough reason to say she was the boss.

As I was still deep in my thoughts, a waitress tapped my shoulder and the moment I lifted my eyes to meet hers, Nina and Bianca walked by me.

Quickly, I drew the hoodie over my head covering my face, and secretly watched as they stepped into a booth. If not for the fact that the waitress had tapped me, I wouldn’t have even known that they were around.

“Can I have that booth, please?”

I pointed to the one behind Nina’s because that was the only way I could hear all they were saying.

“Can you afford it?”

His words made me glance at him with a scoff. A few years ago I couldn’t afford it, not when I owned the whole pack.

“Only well-to-do people rent that place and you don’t look like you can…”

Before he embarrassed himself further and drew attention, I pulled out my debit card and handed it over to him.

I didn’t know what he was taking so long doing with my card as my attention was already on the boot, gritting my teeth that I wasn’t able to hear what those two were talking about.

“Come with me.”

I shot to my feet, followed him to the boot, and without waiting for him to say a word, I grabbed my card and got in.

“What should I get you?”

“Anything.”

I waved him off in annoyance.

“She will be waiting in the office for you to bring her the format.”

Nina and Bianca burst into laughter. Those idiots were gossiping about me. Bad luck that I couldn’t hear what they were saying from the beginning.

“That aside.”

Nina said.

“The clients will be coming into the pack today so be prepared…”

She paused as if she had sensed someone was eavesdropping then continued.

“You shouldn’t mess up this time, Bianca. The last time, you nearly put us in trouble. If I hadn’t used my previous connection with the Alpha leader, there is no way that trouble would have vanished.”

“No problem, boss and I am sorry for the last time.”

I knew it! Boss? I just knew Nina was the boss. But what boss? What client? What were they up to?

“Meet them at the guest house tomorrow and make sure you give them whatever they want. Do you have girls on the ground?”

“Of course, boss, and the girls are so pretty and eager to sell their bodies for money.”

If I could understand very well, their clients that would be coming into the pack the next day were men and they would send girls to them for what? To spend the night? In my pack?

When did that nonsense start that I didn’t know? Nina and Bianca had fallen into my hands.

I’d wanted to stand up and make them notice my presence that I had heard all they were saying but Liza held me back.

‘If you show yourself now, we wouldn’t be able to know the rest of what they are doing. Don’t you realize that catching them in the act is the best thing?’

That was correct so I held myself together.

“And today, do not make another mistake of leaving your phone at Aria’s office. She is an idiot, she will go through your phone again to find evidence and you know you have lots of things in there that shouldn’t be seen.”

“Yeah,”

Bianca sighed.

“I will be careful today. I think leaving the phone in the car will be better. That way, I wouldn’t have to worry about anything.”

So I was an idiot. Why in the world did I allow Nina to keep roaming around in my pack? I should have exiled her after breaking our friendship.

I stayed behind, pretending to be eating when they stood up to leave. However, Nina stopped when she turned around and saw me, eyes fixed on me like she knew it was me.

I had a hoodie on that covered my entire head including my face.

“Do you know her?”

Bianca asked her, drawing her attention.

“She looks familiar.”

“Who?”

She asked again.

“I think she has the same figure as Aria.”
