Chapter 69: What I Was Never Meant to See

Aria’s POV

“Mr. Alex is a dangerous person, Alpha Aria. He is involved in one of the notorious gangs feared throughout the entire kingdom. Please be careful with him.”

If I knew that was what he was going to say, I wouldn’t have wasted time listening to him. Everyone in the kingdom knows things about the Supreme Alpha’s family and how Alex was leading a group of notorious gangs he called mafias.

My brother, Rafe, is a mafia lord, and he has never engaged in any so-called unfair treatment. Everyone in the kingdom knows him and how much he uses his position to protect his pack.

Alex could do that—he could use that position to protect the whole kingdom but decided to turn it into evil just because they had the king’s backing in everything.

“I heard you. Now go back to your desk and don’t disturb me.”

As soon as he closed the office door, I pulled my phone out of my pocket, turned it on, and clicked on the files.

The entire file containing everything from Bianca’s phone was stored separately, so I clicked it and it displayed the whole content.

First, the messages and gosh! It was so terrible and disgusting to read. Bianca and Nina’s conversations were all about selling drugs, kidnapping people for ransom, enlisting teenagers and unemployed people into prostitution, and other dangerous things they did for money.

My heart raced like I was in a marathon as I read those messages. That business wasn’t fresh, if had been going on for years, even before I relocated to the Bloodmoon pack.

In one of the messages, I realized that Nina’s friendship towards me wasn’t for goodness sake, she did that so that she would continue doing all she was doing using our relationship.

It was ironic that she was using my name to bail her minions out of jail, selling things, and employing people.

Gosh! I didn’t know it had gotten that far. Doing a lot of research about someone surely helps before you let them into your life especially when you are someone they would use.

I scrolled through the messages hoping to find something else but they were all the same things including addresses of their hideouts and information or contact of their clients.

If I could get their clients’ information, finding them would be so easy without them knowing that I was coming for them.

Anyways, those messages and addresses were enough evidence too. By the way, Bianca wasn’t the boss, Nina was and only in Nina’s phone can I find everything.

I proceeded to check the media files and started with the pictures. Nothing much there too, just the pictures of the ladies and the teenagers working for them and Bianca’s pictures.

Some of her pictures were disgustingly wrong, made me want to puke.

I shook my head, imagining how dangerous we have turned the world. Who could have thought that Bianca would be engaged in a thing like that? No wonder she was so smart and always came up with ideas in an instant. And Nina, she never looked like she could do any of this. She looked so innocent and loving.

Well, with her public personality, no one would know that she was a dangerous person. And to even say that her profession was one that involves fishing out people like her.

I sighed deeply, shook my head for the last time, and clicked on the videos.

What my eyes saw sent shivers running down my spine. My entire body froze and in a few seconds, my hands started trembling. The phone in my hands slipped and luckily, it landed on the desk.

The first thing I saw was a horrible sight to behold, they were torturing a lady, a familiar lady. Someone so close to me.

‘Alissa.’

Liza’s breath dropped heavily on my mind. That was Alissa. Even though the camera wasn’t too clear and the background was a little dark, I could never bypass Alissa’s voice and face.

She was yelling, pleading for her life, begging she knew nothing, and promising she would give them whatever they wanted but…no…someone stepped forward…it was Nina…she was holding a syringe, pointing the needle up.

“What did you tell Aria about me?”

Nina asked, squatting in front of the face disfigured-with-bruises Alissa.

“Aria loved me so much as a friend but because of you, she cut off ties with me. Because of you, I didn’t get to execute the plans I have for her. Because of you…”

She pierced the needle into Alissa’s thigh and the scream was so horrifying that my blood started boiling.

So that was it! The real truth about Alissa’s abduction was out. And there I was, thinking that the people behind it were the Rogues.

How could Nina cross the line? Why would the innocent Alissa be her victim? I should have listened to Alissa from the start when she was warning me about Nina. But no, I thought she was only jealous, not knowing she saw something.

The same thing I did to Kyra earlier on when she told me Bianca wasn’t to be trusted.

‘They’ve got to pay for terrorizing the innocent’s life.’

Yes, they must pay dearly for it. They ought to know that in my pack, nobody found guilty is spared.

There was enough evidence in my hand to jail them, but I wanted to wait for just a few hours, to wait for the clients to arrive so that I could invade the location and arrest them all.

The anger in me grew to the stage where controlling myself was so hard so I got up, locked the office door, and let Liza out.

After two hours of letting out our anger and frustration, we were calm but not fully calm, just calm enough to last the day.

I went home, dodged my brothers who were in the study room playing games, and went to my room. I didn’t even freshen up, I was too upset to do that. I went to bed that way praying the next day would arrive quickly.

As early as 5am the next morning, I was up, ready to leave the house because I didn’t know the exact time those clients would come to the pack that day. And before I left the room, I put a call to the headquarters.

“Ready the army, we are going hunting today.”
