Return of the Alpha Heiress
Chapter 70: Invading Their Hideout
Chapter 71
Aria’s POV
“Where are you going this early?”
Kael startled me as we bumped into each other on the stairs. Everywhere was still dark yet none of us cared to turn off the light.
“Jeez!”
I patted my chest.
“You scared the hell out of me.”
He chuckled softly, and snapped his fingers, turning the lights on.
“Are you going into war?”
He asked the moment the lights went on and he saw what I was wearing. A pair of black leather pants, a black leather long-sleeve top with a hoodie, and black leather boots. And yes, I looked like I was going into war.
“No.”
“Do not lie to me, Aria, I know when you are up to something. Tell me. This time, what are you up to?”
I wouldn’t tell him yet because I wanted to do it by myself. If I informed them, they would be of great help but that would also raise suspicions.
“You will find out later but now, I need to go.”
Before he could utter another word, I was already running down the stairs and out of the building.
After driving for one hour, I arrived at the location I found on Bianca’s phone. The place where their clients would be staying.
Surprisingly, that place was filled with so many people going about their daily activities. The day was just getting brighter yet it looked like these people stayed up all night in their businesses.
Shops were open and filled with customers, cafeterias were busy, ice cream stands were open, and other places.
“What do you want to buy, miss?”
A middle-aged man asked, touching my wrist. He looked so tattered, his eyes red, and he smelled of something strong—cocaine.
I was about to ask him what they sell when suddenly, another person pulled him away excitedly.
“The boss is here with her clients.”
I didn’t need to be told he was referring to Nina. So their business deals were early in the morning when the pack members were still in their homes. Wonderful!
Not only the two guys, but others started running, and scurrying towards the biggest building there. I followed suit, hands in my pockets, holding my phone.
The inside was so large that it could occupy thousands of people and with just a few people there, the place looked awkward.
“When is the boss emerging?”
Someone from the crowd asked.
“Just wait, she’ll come in now.”
And as they were still talking, my eyes didn’t miss when Nina stepped inside, followed by Bianca and a few men and women in black suits and dresses.
The crowd went bizarre, hailing them and calling Nina’s name. So that was the kind of life she was living behind closed doors.
She stood on the stage, dressed and waving like a princess greeting her people.
“That’s enough.”
Someone shouted and the hall went mute as if there weren’t people in it anymore.
Nina smiled, that kind of smile she always had on, the one that made her look like she was a good person. But right there, my eyes didn’t see the sweet innocent Nina, they were seeing the devil.
“Guys, we have some important clients to attend to, the kind that would fetch us millions of dollars each. They are one in a million so you guys should treat them well when they come in.”
Everyone was happy especially for the fact that each of them would earn millions of dollars that day.
That made me wonder what kind of people were coming to spend that huge amount of money on only drugs.
Maybe they would sell other things to them too, not only drugs. Then she waved her hand again, telling them all to disperse.
Nina and the people she had come in with remained on the stage while others started leaving one after the other.
I didn’t want to leave, I wanted to stay there to hear and see what they were up to but there was nowhere to hide. And if I didn’t leave, they would start suspecting me and find out who I was.
“What are you still doing here? Let’s go.”
The same man from earlier on pulled my hand.
“Or do you want the boss to punish you?”
He didn’t wait for me to say a word before dragging me out of there. I didn’t like that at all because that wasn’t what I had gone there to do.
“Do you know any back door I can follow inside this building?”
He squinted his eyes, looking at me in suspicion.
“Do not get it wrong.”
I chuckled.
“I just want to know in case of an emergency.”
The way he was staring at me showed that he didn’t trust me.
“Are you sure you are one of us? Everyone here knows one door or another.”
“Of course I am. I was recruited last week. Haven’t you been seeing me?”
He said nothing, only shrugged his shoulders and walked away.
As I was still looking for a way to get inside the building, a ten-convoy of black SUVs and a limousine drove in. Everyone stopped what they were doing and directed their attention to them.
As soon as the people started stepping out of the cars, cheers broke out, ways were paved, and those big people went in.
Those were the clients, the billionaires ready to spend millions of dollars that day.
Excitement filled my heart as everyone started going in. I followed suit, fighting my way to the front so that I wouldn’t miss a thing on what they would discuss.
“Everyone, listen.”
Nina spoke, her tone so serious.
“I just received a report right now that someone has leaked our location and a spy is among us.”
My heart skipped a beat and my limbs started trembling, but I tried so hard to not let it show if not, I would be caught red-handed.
“If you see any suspicious person here, fish them out and you will be compensated.”
Whispers broke out from the crowd and everyone started looking around. And when I turned to my left, pretending to be looking for the same person they were all looking for, my eyes met with the man from earlier.
“You are the spy.”
He whispered, staring at me in suspicion.
“I am not and do not make…”
“I know you, you are the Alpha leader.”
My body froze at the mention of that. I knew I had done a great job in disguising myself so how did he find out?
“I am not…”
He raised his hand, waving to be noticed.
“The spy is here!”
He yelled, turning their attention to himself. Before I could react, he pointed at me and shouted.
“She is the Alpha leader!”
I couldn’t move a step, all eyes turned to me, and Nina, standing on the stage stepped down, her eyes snapped wide in shock.
As she walked towards me, my heartbeat increased then she lifted my hoodie and her jaw dropped.
“Aria!”
“Aria?”
Bianca gasped in shock.
“Everyone, arrest her!”
