Return of the Alpha Heiress
Chapter 77: The Special Room
Chapter 78
Jace’s POV
Actually, what Aria told me really threw me off and made me lose my composure in front of her.
My parents caused her parents’ deaths? Was that even possible? And if it was the truth, how did that happen?
As far as I know, the Supreme Alpha’s position has nothing to do with the Alphas of the pack except giving them orders or passing information to them from the king.
Could they have had beef because of something relating to the king? I once heard my uncle speaking with the council when I was young, telling them that the king was responsible for many deaths that had occurred in the pack.
But how could it be connected with Aria’s parents and mine? Besides, they passed away when I was just two and Aria wasn’t born by then. This is totally wrong.
“Can you even hear me?”
I sighed shortly and turned towards the direction Lana was standing. The moment my eyes fell on her, a smirk appeared on my lips, disgusted by what she was wearing.
“What were you thinking?”
She asked as she swayed her hips towards me.
“I said my friends are hosting a party and…”
“By your friends, do you mean the Rogue’s daughter?”
She paused, then continued walking towards me and sat beside me.
“She is not the only friend I’ve got, honey. Besides, I no longer speak to her since the day you stopped me. You know I always listen to you.”
I shifted from her because I hate the way Lana always sat beside me, touching my body. I didn’t even know why I was still allowing her to visit me in the mansion when I was done using her to deal with the Rogues.
“Do you know Aria is just making a fool out of herself?”
I looked at her, my brows raised in curiosity.
“Why?”
“Because she thinks arresting Nina and her minions is the end.”
Then she cracked up, throwing her head backward.
“Nina isn’t who Aria should have arrested, she is just following orders and…”
“Who should Aria arrest?”
I cut her off to just chase to the point.
“Regan of course.”
Regan, the Rogue’s leader. Just wow!
“Aria thinks just by teaming up with the Alpha leaders to cut off Regan’s income from their packs is enough to bring him down but that is not true. Nina is only one of those who work for Regan in all the packs across this kingdom. Every day, he accumulates billions of dollars from each pack from drugs and…”
“Do you know the names of those who work for him from all the packs?”
I cut her off again because that was so interesting. Since Aria wouldn’t be able to arrest other people from other packs, I as the Supreme leader will target and bring an end to them. Regan and all the Rogues must be eliminated from the kingdom.
“Of course I do, his daughter never hid anything from me when we were still friends. And Alpha Gregory knows all of them too…”
Gregory? I wasn’t surprised at all because Gregory could do anything for money.
“If Gregory knows, that means he is a part of them, right? And if he is, you are also a part because you are his lover.”
Lana shook her head, but her expression showed that she was caught.
“You know what? Give me their names before you leave.”
“Leave?”
She chuckled softly.
“Why should I leave now? I am thinking of spending the night here, honey. Besides, you haven’t even marked me yet and you promised to.”
“The names first and the marking comes later.”
By doing that, Lana quickly gave me all the names but instead of letting her get her way, I got up, picked up the paper from the desk, and signaled to the bodyguard standing by the door to come closer.
“Escort Lana to the special room.”
He bowed his head and turned to Lana.
“Come with me, miss.”
Lana, unsure of what the special room was meant for, stood up smiling excitedly.
“Do not be late, honey, my body yearns for you.”
She happily followed the bodyguard while I stood there, staring at her and shaking my head at her stupidity.
I thought she was smart and knew what she was doing but I was wrong. Lana didn’t know that the special room was what I called the prison.
Well, that was where she belonged for being a fugitive.
“Tomorrow, I want Alpha Gregory, and the Alphas whose names are on this list to be summoned to the city for an urgent meeting.”
“Yes, Supreme Alpha. And Lana?”
“Do not let words get out that she was locked in the prison. I want her pack to deal with her by themselves.”
“Well understood.”
He took the paper from my hand, bowed his head, and hurried off.
As soon as he was gone, I headed straight to the room and picked up my phone.
[Lana is in my custody, locked in the prison. I will have her transferred to your pack for judgment when you are ready. Also, Lana just spilled the tea. She gave me the names of all those involved in the same business with Nina and they aren’t doing it on their own, Regan is their boss. But do not worry, I will use my power as the Supreme Alpha to deal with all of them. Tomorrow, when the Alphas involved attend the meeting, I will strip them of their title to send a warning to others.]
I sent the message to Aria, put my phone on the side of the bed, and closed my eyes. I knew she wasn’t going to reply to me because she must have probably fallen asleep or was busy with her pack affairs.
Just as I had promised Aria, I must always fight beside her and bring an end to all the bad people in this kingdom. Only then would we have enough time to build the relationship between us because I was already one hundred percent sure that my parents weren’t behind her parents’ death.
