Chapter 104 (SAD)

“Aunt Gloria, who is that?” Michael was surprised. “Who knows.” She scoffed. “I thought she said she doesn’t have any family again apart from her step Mum and her step sis.”

“Maybe she fell from the sky,” Naomi said and they both laughed. “Whatever it is, she can go. We don’t care.”

“Yep, we don’t care and we will never care.” Michael went close and helped her to fold the dresses.

As Emily was going to the room, she decided to stopped by Harry’s room. He was on call when she entered and she sat on the sofa waiting for him to finish. Few minutes later, he was still speaking on the phone and he gestured to her to come sit on the bed.

Emily stood up, she went and sat on the bed but she kept a little distance from him. She played with her fingers waiting for him to finish up.

“Hey babe.” He dropped the phone. Emily lifted up her head and smiled at him. “What’s wrong?” he asked her. “Nothing, I’m fine.” She smiled. “You are sad you’ll be leaving next tomorrow right?” he asked and she nodded her head.

“Awn don’t be a baby, I will be fine.” He moved closer to her. “I promise to always come visit okay?” she nodded her head. “Smile.” She looked at him and smiled. “That’s my baby.”

“Let’s go for shopping tomorrow. You have to take something to Aunt Gloria, her husband and Hanna,” Emily nodded her head. “Hey Emily, don’t be sad. I can take care of myself. Things won’t be bad the way you think it would be,” she nodded her head again.

“Are you hungry?” She touched his face. “Yes. Would you make something for me?” He requested. “Yes. What do you want to eat?” Her face lit up. “Toasted bread.”

“Toasted bread coming right away.” She pecked him and hurried out of the room. “I’ll miss you a much.” He exhaled deeply.

Emily went to the kitchen, the maids were there. They were both silent and that surprised Emily went she entered. It was so unlike them to be quiet but ever since the death, they weren’t as lively as they used to.

“Emily.” The girl that always fought with her called. “Yes?” Emily turned to her. “I’m sorry for all the insults and Quarrels.” She apologized. “I was selfish back then but I found out that being selfish can lead someone in to doing evil. I’ve learned my lesson and I won’t do that ever again.”

Emily was surprised, she looked at the quiet maid and then at the one talking.

“It’s okay,” Emily smiled at her. “And you can have Harry to yourself, you guys are happy together.” Emily giggled. “Are you sure you don’t like Harry again?” she asked and the girl nodded her head. “I’m glad I don’t have to drag him with anyone again.” They all laughed.

“Emily, Grandma said you will be leaving in two days time,” she nodded her head. “And you won’t come back here again?” The other one asked. “I’ll come back after the marriage.” She winked at them and they laughed.

“We’ll miss you a lot,” Emily sighed. “I’ll miss you too. I’ll miss everyone.” She hugged them. The girls helped her in making the toast. And when she was done, she discovered they made a lot.

Emily decided to take some to the twins. She saw how they loved it the day she took it to them at the Quarters. She carried a tray of three plates all covered and three juices.

“Naomi, Michael. I brought you some toast. You remember the one I brought to you at the Quate,” Naomi interrupted her. “Yes we remember,” she said. “Okay, I made sure they are all the same.” Emily smiled. She put the tray on a table to give them but Naomi stopped her.

“We are not hungry. And even if we want to eat that, the maids would be at service,” she said with her hands on her waist. “I made this for you.” Emily was sad. “We are not interested,” Michael said to her. She looked at him and he looked away.

Emily carried the tray out of the room. She held the tray under her arm and cleaned the tears on her face. She just wanted to make them happy as they were already orphans like she but the twins were so rude. Even Michael doesn’t want anything from her too.

“Emily, you are crying. What’s wrong?” Grandma asked her. She was coming out of the kitchen and saw Emily cleaning the tears on her face.

“I took this to them but they don’t want to eat.” She sniffed. “The twins?” Emily nodded her head. “Let’s go.” Grandma went and open the door and she followed her.

“What’s wrong with you kids?” Grandma said to them. “Emily made something and the first people that came to her mind was you guys but you turned it down. Tell me why.” Grandma folded her arm.

“Because we are not hungry,” Naomi said grumpily. “Shut up your mouth. You are the one with problem and you.” She pointed at Michael. “You are a man but always follow what a girl do. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? I thought you and Emily were friends. You don’t want to be friends with her again because she’s in love with your Enemy right?” Emily was surprised, she didn’t know how Grandma found out. “Drop it there,” she said to Emily.

Emily put down the tray, she put two plates on the table and two can of juice.

“If you don’t eat it, I’ll deal with you. You guys are just like your Mum. You are so selfish!” she shouted at them angrily and left the room with Emily.
