The Billionaire’s Surrogate
Chapter 30 (TERRIBLE)
Chapter 30
“Oh okay. But I don’t want to see you anywhere close to Emily again,” he warned. “I won’t make the mistake again, Boss. I’m so sorry.” He apologized.
“Good.” Harry rested his head backward. It has been a month since he saw her last and the way he saw her earlier showed that she wasn’t like she used to.
“Boss, I’m sorry to say but Miss Emily doesn’t look good,” Ron said and Harry nodded his head. “I saw that too. Is Madam Gloria not feeding her well?” he wondered. “I doubt that. Madam Gloria is a nice person and he likes all the servants even though they are scared of her. I just think Miss Emily isn’t used to doing the work,” he said.
“I think so but I’m confused about one thing,” Harry said. “I know what you are thinking about and I agree with you,” Ron nodded his head.
“How would you agree with me? I haven’t even say it out. Did you included it in the contract that she would become part of the servants?” he asked him. “No sir,” Ron said.
“Then why did Mum sent her there. I wanted her to be in the apartment with us to take care of Jeff until he’s a year old then send her away. I didn’t include it in the contract that she would become a maid not even a flower maid.” Harry was confused.
“I think there’s a misunderstanding somewhere.” “I’ll have to re read the contract again,” Harry said and Ron agreed with him.
He remembered Emily asking him about the contract. Maybe she wanted to read the contract again to see where it was written that she was going to be a servant there. The contract given to her was a marriage contract. Not a servant.
They arrived at the company but Harry didn’t concentrate on the work. He was thinking about the document. He called his Assistant to take him home when it became too much to handle.
Ron drive him home and he went straight to his room with Ron, he brought out the document and they read it together.
“Wait, this isn’t what I asked you to write,” Harry said when he read the first line. “Sir, I’m also confused.” Ron couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “You’ve got some explanation to do. How can you made her sign this?”
The heading was correct, ' a MARRIAGE CONTRACT' was boldly written on it but what was written inside was different from what Ron had wrote.
“Sir, you have to believe me. There’s a copy of this inside the laptop, I can show it to you.” Ron didn’t wait for Harry to say anything, he went to the desk and brought the laptop to the bed. He lifted the lid up, turned it in and entered the documents.
“See? I know I printed this out.” Harry was confused and so was Ron. They both wondered how the document got changed instantly.
“Did anyone see you when you were printing it out?” Harry asked him. Ron hesitate for some moments. He remembered Harry’s Mum came inside the study room as he was about to print it out.
“Yes, you Mum came in and she went through the writings,” he said. “Mum?” Harry scrolled down to the last page. “Did you write this?” he asked pointing to the last writing. Ron checked it and his jaw dropped.
“I didn’t write it. How would I write something as horrible as this? Oh my gosh.” He exclaimed. “If you aren’t the one that write this, then Mum have some explanation to do.” He picked up the document, the laptop and left the room.
“Gosh! This is all mistakes.” Ron shook his head. He would have followed Harry out but decided he needed some privacy with his mum.
“And here I am, thinking Grandma is tough not knowing Harry’s Mum is the roughest,” he gasped.
Harry turned the handle of his Mum’s room, she quickly disconnected the call she was making and stood up from the bed.
“Harry, what’s wrong?” She acted like she was saying something he shouldn’t hear on the phone. “Mum, what’s this?” He showed her the last thing written in the laptop.
’ to become a maid' she read it out. “What’s this?” She raised a brow. “Mum, don’t pretend you don’t know this. Ron said you were the only one that saw him when he wanted to print out the contract.”
“So you think I’m the one that wrote this?” she asked him. “Yes.” He answered. His Mum was shocked, she didn’t know Harry would find out easily.
“Mum, do you have personal grudges with Emily?” he asked her. “Excuse me?” she furrowed her brows. “Here.” He gave her the documents and her eyes widened. “You exchanged this with the real document before Ron could take it to her. You think if she stays inside here, I might fall in love with her. That was why you went ahead to draft another contract which would make her become a Servant.”
“Mum, I’m so Disappointed in you. What would I do with Emily? You already know my take on relationship and marriage. I’m not interested in any of that. How could you do this? You should have draft a contract that would take her out of this house and not to become a servant.” Harry was getting angry.
“Are you now raising your voice on me?” His Mum was confused. “I’m sorry Mum but I’m so Disappointed in you. Emily is just an innocent girl, she only wanted to live happily but you deprived her of that. You think I will fall in love with her? No way!” He took the document from her hand and left the room angrily.
“Oh my God!” She gasped and sat down on the bed. “He found out! And he’s angry with me. This is what I’ve been running from, this is why I did that. I don’t want anything that would come between me and my son.” She exhaled deeply.
