“You are so lucky. I wish I can find someone related to my Mum or Dad.” “Who knows? You might find them someday.” She held his hand.

“If at the long run you don’t find them, you have me and Jeff.” She touched his face. “Yes and you guys are enough for me. I love you Emily.” He held her hand. “I love you too Harry.” She looked at the diary.

“Do you want me to hide this?” she asked. “No thanks, I’ll hide it here in my room,” Emily nodded her head.

She left his room an hour later but left Jeff there as he was still sleeping. Emily returned back to her room, she lay on the bed and held her head.

She didn’t tell Harry about her Dad because there was no need. He was already dead and there was nothing she found do. If only he was alive, she would have screamed and tore him in to pieces for taking her mum’s life.

“I missed you so much Mum.” Tears flowed down each side of her eyes. That was the first time she would be crying for only her Mum since her Dad died. It has been for the both of them but she knew her Dad didn’t deserve her tears.

An hour later, the ringtone from her phone woke her up. She picked it up and saw an unknown number. Emily wanted to ignore it but remembered that Madam Gloria called Hanna with the phone earlier.

“Hello.” She answered the phone. “Mum, it’s Hanna,” said Hanna from the other end. Emily sat upright. “Hi Hanna, this is Emily,” Emily said with a smile.

“Emily, who are you?” she asked. “I’m your cousin,” Emily said “Cousin from where? I know all my cousins,” she said. Emily giggled, she put the phone on her left ear and stood up from the bed.

“I’m your cousin from your Mum’s side. Your Mum is my Mum’s sister and I met her here,” Emily explained. “Wow! Nice meeting you. But where is Mum? I want to speak to her.”

“Your Mum is in the Quarters, I’ll take the phone to her and call you,” Emily said. “Emily, is that woman in the house? That wicked woman?” Hanna asked. Emily knew Hanna was referring to Evelyn.

“No, she traveled and won’t return now.” Emily told her. “Please help take my Mum out of there. She should come home and stay with us, I’ll continue providing for them. Mum has been working there for years now but doesn’t earn anything.” She sniffed.

“The salary was meant to be sent to you and your Dad,” Emily said. “No one has send us money since Mum started working there.” Hanna told her. “I don’t get this. You mean Evelyn doesn’t send any money? This is bad.”

“Even ones. Please help mum get out of there and you should not stay there too. That woman is evil, she’s a monster and doesn’t have feelings. Dad sold his phone a year ago to start a business but nothing came out of it too. We really missed mum, tell her I’m now working in a restaurant and the pay is good.”

“I’ll tell her. You know what? Come over in three days time to get your Mum,” Emily smiled. “Really? Thank you so much Emily. I’ll tell Dad when I go home.”

Emily ended the call when they were done talking. She has an idea what she was going to do to send Gloria to her family. She can’t allow her own Aunt to stay under Evelyn as a servant. It would be so easy as Harry has already found out she wasn’t his Mum.

She left the room and went to Harry’s room. Harry was playing with Jeff.

“You are back,” he said. “Yes.” Emily yawned. “I slept off.” She sat on the bed and became silent. “What is it?” Harry asked her when her silence started bothering him.

“I… I need your help,” she said. Harry was surprised, he looked at her and raised a brow. “What is that?” he asked her. “It’s about Madam Gloria. You see, she has a family. A teenage daughter and a husband who loves her so much. Please, I want you to free her,” she pleaded.

Harry looked at her Surprisingly, that was the first time Emily would be seeking for a favor from him and it would be so bad of him to decline. But it wasn’t him that hired those people.

“Emily, you know I can do anything for you. But I don’t think I can do this. I’m not the one that hire her,” he said. Emily was taken aback, she couldn’t believe Harry turned down her request without thinking about it first.

“Harry, you just turned down my first request from you.” She said Surprisingly. “I’m sorry, Emily.” He apologized. “Is it because it’s your Mum that hired them?” she asked him.

“She’s not my Mum. And yes, she is the one that can send them away. She is the one paying them,” he said to her. “Are you kidding me? This is your house not hers. You can do whatever you like in your house. And who told you she pays them? She doesn’t pay them.”

“What prove do you have that she doesn’t pay them?” he asked her. Emily got so annoyed. “I just spoke with Hannah on the phone.” She waved her phone on his face.

“Who’s Hanna?” he asked. “My cousin, Aunt Gloria’s daughter. And she didn’t pay me too when I was sent to the Servant’s Quarters. I can’t believe you turned down my request. Do you think I’m lying? I’m so Disappointed in you.” She carried Jeff and stormed out of the room.
