The Mischievous CEO Won't Let Me Go
Chapter 106: Whether She liked It Or Not
Chapter 106
She had no right to play with his feelings. If she wouldn’t leave him alone and had to keep pulling him down this abyss of confusion, then he’d see how she was going to toss him aside this time.
She wouldn’t play with him for the second time. He was going to make sure of that. If she was so keen on not leaving him in peace, she might as well turn into the piece.
To hell with rules and everything else. He was going to have her whether she liked it or not. And whether he liked it or not.
He wasn’t only mad at her. Shit! He was very much mad at himself. He was mad for being this crazy. All those things were only in his head. All those fake promises and vows. If not, why couldn’t he play be them.
And jolted like some kind of maniac because he thought she needed help?
The long ride which usually should took up to an hour, took him only thirty minutes. The sky was so dark it was very late in the night.
It wasn’t a question that midnight had passed. And when he looked down at his phone, again, damnit! It was one in the morning.
How could she even be awake at this hour?
Greg slowed down the car as he drove into the neighborhood. And he couldn’t help but ask for the umpteenth time what he was doing.
His car was the only one on the street. The smooth engine finally had an advantage. It didn’t make any disturbing sound. Hence, there was no prospect of him waking the whole neighborhood.
And those securities— or was it private guards they were called.
Greg narrowed his eyes and fixed his eyes ahead. The street was not quite dark. The lampposts were shinning brightly.
And no sign of them. Well, things were gonna be easy. They probably had an operation somewhere in the city or its outskirts. Who cared?
He stopped the car in front of the large gates and his eyes dropped to his phone to take another look at the tracker.
She was right in there. Not so far from where he was.
He left the car and stood in front of the gate. This was it. An amused laugh left his lips and his heart beat finally returned to normal.
Another feeling overtook him. The adrenaline that rushed through his system. And his heart pounded with something else. Excitement. He shouldn’t be excited in this situation. Hell! He was about to take something by false. A thing he had promised himself never to do. He was about to take her by force. Whether she liked it or not.
And now that he’d come here, there was no turning back.
He lifted one hand and gave the gate two knocks. The sounds echoed in the air. It would take someone to be deeply asleep for them not to hear it.
Well, it seemed like they were deeply asleep. So much for securities.
He knocked again. Three knocks this time. And the sounds echoed louder than before. If no one opened the gate this time, then he shouldn’t be blamed wrecking the damn metal.
He’d got the proper tool in his car’s trunk.
But he didn’t have to knock again. Whoever the heavy footsteps that was suddenly come from the distance belonged to, then that person had saved him the trouble.
It would take hours to bring the metal apart. And it was a fine one, he couldn’t dispute that. It would be a big lose to have it shattered.
“Who is there!?” A deep voice came from inside and Greg could hear the sound of a gun cocking.
And he couldn’t help but gave a soft laugh. This was going to be fun. Heck! Why didn’t he come with his gun? He wouldn’t mind having another one in his collection though. He shrugged.
“I said, who the hell is there!?”
The deep voice came again.
“Ah, just open the damn thing.” Greg yawned and said in a lazy voice.
He needed to get him beauty sleep. And to do that, he wouldn’t appreciate the security wasting his time.
“What do you want.” There was an hedge of darkness to the man’s voice. “Are you a robber?” He asked.
Greg shook his head. He couldn’t believe how dumb the man was. A robber. Well, he was— sort of. Hadn’t he come to kidnap the princess after all.
“If I was robber, then congratulations I’ve just made your job easier,” he answered. “And the next thing I’ll do is ask if you could escort me to the treasures chamber, isn’t it?”
Greg shook his head again. Maybe robbers should start knocking at the door. That would make the securities job a lot more simpler.
“You’re not a robber?.” The man’s suspicious voice came again. As if he had finally realized how ridiculous his earlier question sounded.
“Yes, obviously.” Greg didn’t even know why he had answered and he rolled his eyes. “You’re wasting my time, Dude. If you open the gate now, I might let you go untouched.”
There was a few seconds of silence and Greg could hear him fiddling with the gun.
Then a small area was opened from the gate and the security peaked through it.
“Are you harmed?” His voice was a bit frantic.
Urgh! This was taking too long. Greg fought the urge to roll his eyes.
He shook his head to the man’s question and even took some steps backward to let him have a full view of him.
“No, I’m not,” he answered and grinned.
But he might be, any moment from now. Who knew?
The man’s eyes, which was the only thing that could be seen through the small opening, widened the moment he saw him.
The eyes disappeared instantly and it came back again, widening more than before.
“Y–You, I know you,” the man stammered. “Y-You’re here for Young Miss.”
