Chapter 53: Be With Me

“Shit! Greg. I’m going to kill you.” But it was George that stood in front of her. Her head was still muddled and her heart was only filled with murder thoughts about the other twin that his name was the first thing that came to her mind when she saw that similar face.

Without saying another word, she let out a scoff and shoved past the guy. After finding out he hasn’t lie to her, she had no more business with him.

But George held her back, by holding her hand.

“Where do you think you’re going, Gorgeous?” He said in a smooth voice.

Shit! Even the tone of their voices sounded the same. And Gina was afraid she would really pounce on him and attack him, hoping it was his brother.

“You’re not thinking of ditching me, are you?” He asked with a raised brow.

Gina tried to control herself and she yanked off his hands. “What do you want?” She said coldly. Shit! She had already had enough for the day and a massive ache had started brewing in her head. If she didn’t get a rest now, she wouldn’t promise that she won’t really commit a murder.

“Even the paparazzis don’t give out information for free.” He drew her to him with strong hands. Damn! Why did he have to be just as strong as his brother? Now, no matter how hard she tried to struggle, she couldn’t break free from his tight hold on her waist.

“Now, don’t you think it’s unfair if you don’t give me anything in return after revealing your friend’s whereabouts?” He asked in an offended tone, his lips curling up in the most sensual smirk.

Gina was instantly mesmerized and she tried to swallow but only realized her throat was dry. Shit! Why did he have this kind of effect on her. All she needed was a glimpse of him and all the sanity flee her mind.

“Get away from me.” She gritted out.

He didn’t release her and his hold tightened. However, his expression changed. He put on a gloomy look.

“But I can’t, Gorgeous.” His voice got smoother and her nerves started to tingle. “I can’t sleep either. After knowing you’ll be here, how do you expect me to even bat an eye? Sleep is far from my eyes, because I need you.”

God she was breaking. Gina gulped. Smooth talk. He was a master at that. And Gina couldn’t help but wander if his brother also used the same tactic to swoon girls off their feet. Because she couldn’t even feel her legs at the moment.

“I need you to be with me…” George went on. “Tonight.” He let the last word came out as a whisper.

Gina could remember him using these same kind of words at the bar that night. Argh! She was in trouble.

“G-George.” She swallowed again and tried to push him away once more. There was no way she would allow him to win. “Let me go this instant. I have a knife, and I’m not afraid to use it.”

“I like that.” George chuckled and she frowned.

“Like what?” Gina was confused. If he really meant the knife, then she would grant him his wish. She wouldn’t bother to slice him into pieces.

“I like how fiery you are.” George answered her, “It only makes me more desperate. You need to repay me, and I won’t take no for an answer.”

Gina glared so hard at him but before she could return, his hand went up all the way from her back, tingling at her skin, then it curled around the back of her neck. Instantly, she felt a slight squeez and before she could register anything, her head began to sway and her vision began to get blurry.

Shit! That idiot had knocked her out. And the last thing she could remember was being scooped up into his large arms.

The next morning…

When Lucy woke up, her eyes wandered around the room. It was too large for a guest room. And since yesterday that Greg had showed the room to her, she still couldn’t get enough of it. Moreover, the room was designed in soft tones and colors, a taste that was obviously not a man’s.

Her head ached slightly as her thoughts went back to her nightmares. They were still fresh in her memories. Since Gina told her Cedric had returned, the fears in her heart still hadn’t subsided.

And the scary stories Greg had told her last night didn’t help things. It only incited more nightmares.

She got off the bed and after taking her bath, the fears were still swamming in her chest, almost suffocating her. Her eyes wandered to the ring in her finger and she curled that hand into a fist.

Now that he was back, what would he do next? He wouldn’t come for her, would he? How could he even think of coming back? And what was he up to?

She didn’t like him. She never liked him. And the thought he even came back to see her parents brought all sorts of horrible thoughts to her mind. He wouldn’t possibly demand anything, right?

But then, maybe her fears were for nothing. She was now with Greg, everyone thought they were together. And after what transpired at the engagement, Cedric might not want anything to do with her. Not if her had distinct. His pride might be hurt because of what happened. Maybe she was just afraid for nothing.

Her eyes landed on the clothes that lay on the couch. They were all his shirts. Even though it felt very comfortable to wear them, she couldn’t wait to get her own clothes. Seeing her in his shirt had freaked Gina out. It wasn’t a great idea to keep wearing them.

So she picked one up, keeping in mind it would be the last one she wore, then slipped it on.

Just like the previous one, this one also extended to her knees and it smelt nice. It smelt just like him. Greg didn’t use hard cologne like most guys, the fragrance was soft but still manly.
