The President's Daring Wife
Chapter 60: He’s Crazy
Chapter 62
“Urgh!”
Eve tossed her phone aside after bidding goodbye to Elena and hanging up. Ethan was allergic to extremely cold weather. That wasn’t even a weakness. Literally, everyone should be allergic to extremely cold weather.
Eve supported her head with both hands and blew out a sigh. Ethan. Ethan. Ethan… That man had really gone too far.
She propped her legs up on the bed and leaned against the headboard then stared up at the ceiling.
Chatters and footsteps came from the door and her sisters barged into the room, each holding a pillow.
“Big Sis, can we sleep here?” They both asked at the same time.
“Sure, Girls.” Eve nodded and smiled. She could do with some distraction.
“Great!” The girls chorused and jumped on the bed beside her.
“Compared to before, you’re now nicer and more approachable, Big Sis.” Carla hugged her arm.
“Big Sis, is it because you’re now married? Has brother-in-law’s kindness changed your personality?”
Ethan’s kindness?
“Although he doesn’t talk much, brother-in-law seems like a nice person. You’re so lucky, Big Sis.”
Eve forced a smile and bobbed her head. She sure was lucky.
Her eyelids became heavy and she rested her back on the bed. “Cassie, Carla, I’m so sorry for not treating you well in the past. But I promise you from now on, I’ll take good care of you girls.”
“We’re not mad at you, Big Sis. It’s not your fault.”
“You hung out so much with that Mia, she rubbed some of her bad attitude on you.”
“She never treated us nice and always bullied us while she was still here. She must have asked you to treat us the same.”
Eve’s eyes lingered on the ceiling and she nodded. The girls were right. Mia had given her a headstart that her sisters were spoilt brats. And Eve disliked such people while she was in the province. And she foolishly followed Mia’s advice.
It turned out, after all, that Mia was the mean and obnoxious one.
“And even when she bullied us, Mum never said anything.”
“She also disrespects Dad and Grandpa.”
“We were happy when she turned out to be fake. We knew our real sister wouldn’t treat us that way.”
“You’re so pitiful, Big Sis. How did you find out that she’s a bad person?”
Eve didn’t find out. Mia and Cole revealed it to her in her past life when they were done using her. “Enough talk about Mia, Girls.” She pushed the urge to sleep aside and sat up. “Tell me about your school. Are you having a great time studying?”
“Sure, Big Sis.” The girls nodded. “Everything is good at school, except recently, a new transfer guy joined us.”
“He’s in the senior class, but he picks at all girls in school.”
“He’s a jerk, Big Sis. You know who we’re talking about.”
“You mean Matt?” Eve asked and the girls nodded again. ‘That guy.’ Eve shook her head. “I hope he’s not causing you any trouble.”
“No, Big Sis. If he dares cause us any trouble, we won’t be easy on him.”
“He picks at the lecturers and shames the girls. He’s a real trouble, Big Sis.”
Eve couldn’t put it past the dumb guy, especially when he didn’t like the school. Hopefully, the bodyguards were keeping an eye on him. It was better than him going abroad and associating with bad company.
“It’s hard to believe that he and brother-in-law are brothers.”
“Brother-in-law is kind and considerate, but that Matt is a jerk.”
Eve let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. Really. Both brothers were so similar in many ways. The only different thing was their personalities.
“Big Sis—”
One of the girls was about to continue speaking but someone opened the door from the outside.
“Cassie, Carla.” Their mother looked inside the room. “Why are you girls not in your room?”
“We want to spend time with Big Sis.”
“Mum, can we please sleep here?”
“Go to your room. You’ll accompany me to your cousin’s wedding ceremony tomorrow. You must sleep early.” The woman pulled the door close and her footsteps faded in the hallway.
“Ow.” The twins pursed their lips and put on disappointed looks. “Big Sis, we’re so sorry.”
“We’ll keep you company when we come back tomorrow.”
“It’s alright, Girls, Sleep well.” Eve forced a smile as the girls carried their pillows and strolled out in low spirits.
She picked up her phone then stared at the screen for a while before dropping it on the bedside table.
Her eyelids grew heavy as she pulled the sheet up to cover herself, then her phone beeped with the sound of a notification.
Eve grabbed the phone and stared at the message, and her expression darkened.
‘When you fall asleep, don’t stop thinking about your love. This way, you can dream about me, and I’ll also dream about you.’
Eve’s hands shook as she typed a reply. ‘You are the craziest person I’ve ever known, Mr. Hudson. Don’t let me see you again, otherwise, I’ll make several holes in your chest with a knife. And don’t text me again!’
She switched her phone off after sending the text, then she buried her face in the pillow and screamed.
From what kind of hell did that maniac come? At first glance, he looked like a normal human being. But all his actions pointed towards one thing…
Wade was a rotten pervert.
Eve woke up the next morning and got ready for the day. She picked up her phone from the bedside table, and on switching it on, the first thing that popped up on the screen was another message from Wade.
‘I am crazy, that’s correct. But only because I’m crazy for you. My heart is all yours, Eve. You can bore as many holes as you like in it. I can’t wait to see you again, because I’m getting restless again. Tell me when you’ll come to me, Eve. And I’ll give you a grand welcoming no one has ever witnessed before.’
Eve deleted the message before she finished reading it. She blocked his number, that wasn’t enough. She also scrolled through the numbers he’d been using to communicate with her. She blocked them all, then took out that sim card and snapped it into two.
