Chapter 76: His Revenge

Eve rubbed her forehead and groaned inside. What was this crazy guy doing here? Didn’t he promise never to set foot here again?

“I know you can hear me, Evelyn! Open the door now so that this Young Master can have his revenge!”

Eve slid her legs down the bed and shuffled her feet into her slippers. She sprang up then rushed to the door and locked it.

“Evelyn, come out!” Matt banged at the door and Eve turned around and entered the bathroom.

After washing up and changing into a simple dress, she applied light makeup to conceal her eye bags, then she picked up a perfume bottle and slowly approached the door.

She placed her ear on the door– no sound. Matt must have left. And she unlocked the door then opened it after putting the perfume bottle away.

Eve stepped into the empty hallway, and she sighed in relief then walked down the stairs. Matt was nowhere in sight. Did she just imagine his voice?

She ate up some of her breakfast then left the dining area and walked out of the house toward the servants’ quarters. Even if she’d have to bribe that maid, she must know where the rest of the glucose was.

But she didn’t reach the servants’ quarters. Eve was about to turn a corner when her ears caught voices from the other side of the house.

She followed that direction and came into the field where Ethan played golf.

“You can’t do that Second Young Master. The first Young Master has strictly forbidden everyone from touching his things.”

“This golf club belongs to my Big Bro and I must play with it.”

“Ah! Do you even know how to play golf, Second Young Master? If the first Young Master catches you–”

“Are you looking down on me, Skinny girl? Just watch this Young Master and see how real golf is played. I’m sure even my Big Bro can’t match up to my skill.

“Madam, please stop him.” Camila sighted Eve and rushed toward her. “The Second Young Master wants to play golf. And you know how protective the Young Master is of his things.”

Eve was doing her best to conceal her presence. She’d even turned around to head back into the house when the maid saw her. She facepalmed herself then turned around with a nervous smile.

“Aha! You have finally decided to come out, Evelyn!” Matt dropped the golf club and strode forward then grabbed her hand. “My Big Bro has traveled. Let’s see who is going to save you from this Young Master’s wrath.”

“Hey, Matt. I’m sure we didn’t fight the last time we met.” Eve freed her hand.

“Evelyn, you liar. You humiliated me by making me cook in the kitchen. Apart from that, you’ve made me do so many crazy things including going grocery shopping with this skinny girl.” He pointed at the maid. “And you also made my Big Bro beat me up several times with this golf club.”

“You, Matt. Leave me alone!”

“Let’s see how you’re going to escape today. No one can save you from this Young Master.”

Eve stared at the guy and sighed.

Of all mornings, why did her body have to be weak today? She would have been glad to let him have a taste of her karate skill.

“You’re going too far, Matt. If you don’t unhand me right now, I’ll make sure your brother comes back in the next twenty minutes and you’re going to receive worse punishment.”

“Hahaha, your threats won’t work on me.” Matt laughed. “Even a fool will know that you’re lying. How can you get my Big Bro here in the next twenty minutes? By that time, this Young Master would have already broken your bones to pieces.”

“Second Young Master, please show some respect. Remember madam is your brother’s wife,” the maid stepped forward and said.

“Back off, Skinny girl, if you don’t wish to receive this Young Master’s punishment. Now, hand me the golf club so I can break her into pieces.”

“Ah! Second Young Master.”

“Urgh, Matt, come on.” Eve rolled her eyes. “The feud between us hasn’t reached this extent, right?”

“But you made this Young Master go through hell. You dumped me in that school and now I miss all my buddies.”

“Your brother did that.”

“Bah! You made my Big Bro do that. You turned my Big Bro against me, Evelyn. I’m going to make you pay for that.”

Eve groaned again and scoffed. “Where are those bodyguards for goodness sake? Aren’t they supposed to keep an eye on you?”

“Hehe, don’t underestimate this Young Master.” Matt chuckled. “I’ve coaxed my Big Bro to take them with him on the business trip. Now there’s nothing standing between me and getting my revenge.”

“You, how did you do that?” Eve frowned.

“It is simple.” Matt shrugged. “I just had to act obedient for a few days. Those bullies were convinced that I’d turned a new leaf. So they reported back to Big Bro.”

“Ah, this Young Master is so smart.” Eve covered her mouth and exclaimed.

“I must agree with you on this.” Matt put on a proud look. “When it comes to scheming, no one can surpass this Young Master. That is why you must experience what it feels like to trifle with this Young Master.”

“Matt, come on.” Eve held her stomach. “I promise you that from now on, we’ll be best buddies.”

“Bah! Who wants to be friends with you? You’re not even worthy of being my sidekick.”

“Don’t speak to Madam that way, Second Young Master. I’ll get the security man’s attention if you don’t let go of her.”

“I told you to stay out of this, Skinny girl.” Matt nudged her aside then picked up the golf club.

“If you don’t let go of her, I’m going to give the Young Master a call right now,” Camila warned.

“This Young Master will not rest until he takes his vengeance. Don’t worry, Skinny girl. After her, it will be your turn.”

“You’re going too far, Matt. Let me go, now!” Eve glared at him.

“Just keep still, Sister-in-law. I’m sure it’s not going to hurt as much as it hurt me when Big Bro beat me with this golf club.”

“Ah! Matt–” The guy raised the golf club in the air and Eve screamed then covered her mouth.

The strange feeling built up in her chest again and she gagged then threw up on his shirt.

“Argh! Evelyn, you!”
