Chapter 110 Killed His Sister

Clyde stared at the phone in his hand, his blood boiling inside.

He watched the several missed calls but made no attempt to answer them.

Hadn't he restricted that contact before?

It appeared Violet had unblocked the guy.

Why the hell was he calling his wife!?

“Clyde, have you seen my phone?” Violet entered the study room and he quickly hid the phone in his pocket.

Clyde shook his head. “Have you checked Mimi's room?”

“I did. It's not there.” She sighed frustratedly. “I- I need to check on the Cops. I must find Freya.”

She barely slept last night all due to worrying about her friend.

Honestly, she didn't need to call the Cops.

Clyde already had a feeling about who took her friend away.

“Relax, we'll find her.”

“That's what you've been telling me.” She gave him a tired look. “Clyde Crawford, at least use your influence and help me find my friend.”

Clyde would have long used his influence if he'd wanted to.

However, the situation was out of his hands.

The only person who could end this trouble was Harry. He was the one who started it in the first place.

“Stop fretting. I promise she'll return.” He assured her one more time before she gave him an annoyed look and then left the study room.

After the door closed, Clyde brought out her phone.

He contemplated dialing that number and giving the guy a piece of his mind.

But then, that was childish.

Violet could get wind of it.

She might end up getting mad at him.

Clyde blocked the number again and deleted the contact.

He then picked up his own phone and dialed Harry's number. “You might think I don't take my words seriously. If she doesn't return by the evening, start digging your own grave.”

From the other end, Harry made a sound of grimace. “Spare me, Dude. I'm also in a dilemma right now. Damn, I'll have fun dismembering many people tonight. How dare they touch my woman?”

Clyde sighed.

He seriously had committed a mistake by letting the guy be in the first place.

“You couldn't protect Anna. What makes you think that you can protect Freya now? I shouldn't have trusted you.”

“Come on, Dude!” Harry sighed. “Anna's death was an accident, you know that. Are you still angry with me?”

Clyde was never angry with him, knowing the truth.

“Make sure Freya returns,” He ordered. “After that, end your silliness and move out of my Villa.”

“Ha! It's easier said than done!” Harry laughed. “If I ask you to leave your wife, will you agree? Besides, you wouldn't want me to remain a bachelor forever, right?”

Clyde chuckled. “If you plan to marry her, then do that immediately.”

“Huh-”

“I'll tell your Dad the good news-”

“Ah, Dude- wait!!!”

Clyde hung up.

Of course, he didn't want him to remain a bachelor forever.

It would be much better if Harry settled down, then a lot of girls’ lives would be safe and not every woman he liked had to end up like his sister.

“Well done, Clyde Crawford!” An angry voice suddenly sounded.

Clyde swiveled his chair around to find Violet standing in front of him with both hands planted on her waist.

“I'll ask again. Have you seen my phone!?” She glanced between him and the phone he'd just dropped on the table.

Taking in her furious expression, he gulped. “Well, it must have appeared out of nowhere.”

“You!” Violet glared at him.

She stomped forward and snatched the phone. “What the hell were you doing with it!?”

“Nothing illegal.” Clyde pulled her onto his lap. “Are you hiding something?”

“Hey.” She struggled to break free but he held her waist firmly.

In the end, she gave up. “You know how important Freya is to me. You shouldn't have hidden it.”

“I've already told you she'll be fine.” He smoothened the fine lines on her forehead as she frowned. “Stop worrying, okay?”

“How can I not worry?” Violet mumbled. “Freya has only me in this city. If anything happens to her, I'll never forgive myself.”

“Nothing will happen.” He assured her for the umpteenth time.

A few moments of silence passed by.

She gradually relaxed against him.

Clyde was about to slide his hand into her blouse when she slapped it off and at the same time, someone barged in.

“Mummy, Daddy! Look what Matt gave to me!”

Mimi scurried forward, holding a new school bag. She opened it and inside the bag were new sets of writing materials.

“Matt and I now have matching school bags. Isn't that amazing?” Mimi added.

Well, Clyde didn't find it fascinating.

“Where's your school bag, Baby.” He asked.

“I've already given it out to the new kid in our class because Matt gave me a new one. Didn't you want me to make more friends, Daddy?”

“Oh, that's so considerate of you, Baby.” Violet chortled. “I bet that kid's parents are happy.”

“Yes, Mummy!” Mimi bobbed her head eagerly. “They thanked me after school. They asked if we could be friends and I said yes.”

“Who's that kid?” Clyde frowned.

“His name is Aaron.” Mimi's response increased his discomfort.

Another boy.

Why couldn't she just make friends with girls?

“You finished school early today. How did you get home?” He glanced at his wristwatch.

Her school was about to close an hour later. He and Violet were supposed to pick her up.

“Oh, some bees visited our school today, Daddy.” Mimi smiled. “The teachers quickly put some of the kids inside the school bus to take them home. But Matt's parents gave me a ride. Matt's Daddy looked scary, Mummy, but Matt told me not to fear him just like how he doesn't fear my Daddy.”

That boy again.

Recalling who his father was, Clyde wasn't that surprised. They were rivals in business after all.

As he was about to sound out his displeasure, his phone rang, and his grandfather's name displayed on the screen.

Clyde answered it immediately. “Grandpa-”

“Tell me, Clyde Crawford!” His grandfather's voice was shaking with rage. “Did you kill your own sister!?”
