Chapter 93 Fall Pregnant Again

She was going to regret this.

Violet had this strong feeling that she wouldn't doubt.

This wasn't gonna end in her favor. She wasn't gonna smile about it after it was over.

Clyde picked her up, their lips still locked. Seconds later, he lowered her onto the bed and towered above her.

Violet's heart pounded.

Through the transparent cotton shirt, he cupped the flesh of her chest and instead of a gasp as she anticipated, a soft moan left her lips.

“Clyde…” She stuttered, her brain muddled as she tried to think clearly.

Yet, she couldn't form a coherent sentence. Except for his name, not a single word came to her mind.

He lifted her blouse, pulling it off her. When his lips touched her flesh, sparks exploded in her brain.

Writhing underneath him, Violet wrapped all her limbs around him.

She breathed heavily, wanting him to stop, hoping for more. “Clyde.”

“Mm,” He murmured, his warm breath fanning her flesh. “What's the matter?”

“Please…” She teared up.

She couldn't tell why she was begging. She didn't know why her tears were about to fall.

After five complete years, she was with the same man again.

Did her body miss him that much?

Why was she responding to every one of his touches?

Shouldn't she push him away?

As he continued exploring her skin, without leaving any spot untouched, Violet sucked in a deep breath.

No.

She couldn't let him have this much control over her.

She couldn't be so helpless and pathetic.

His fingers slid into her shorts, about to pull it down.

Violet gasped, her eyes snapping open.

She pushed him away and shifted back until her back hit the bed’s headboard.

Clyde looked confused for a second, the storm of desire still dancing in his eyes.

“What's wrong?” He reached out to touch her, but she quickly covered herself, concealing her chest with both hands.

Violet grabbed her blouse and slipped it on.

Her heart beating like a thousand drums, she got down from the bed and ran inside the bathroom.

“Violet, what's wrong? Are you alright?” He beat at the bathroom door, his tone filled with worry and concern.

Thank goodness she'd locked the door, or he might barge inside.

“Violet, can you hear me?” Clyde called out, his voice strained with frustration.

Covering her mouth, Violet choked on her sobs as she stared at the ring on her finger.

Damnit!

What had she done?

Was she losing her mind?

Was she losing herself?

Could she go back to the heartless man who had traumatized her for life?

What about her promise to Asher?

“Violet, please answer me.” His voice jolted her.

Violet headed to the sink.

She washed the tears off her face. She rearranged her messy hair and stared at her pathetic self in the mirror.

Her insides were still trembling from the aftereffects of his touch. Her body longed for him, but-

She couldn't!

Several minutes later, she stepped out of the bathroom and met him still standing outside.

“Are you alright?” He repeated the same question. “Violet, I-”

“I'll forgive you once for breaking the rule, Mr. Crawford,” She stated coldly. “Consider this an even act and don't try it again.”

After all, she'd also made a pass at him first while she was drunk.

So now, they were even.

Violet walked past him and hurried out of the room as fast as her feet could take her before she thought about something as crazy as taking back her words.

She scurried downstairs, her heart racing, praying that he wouldn't follow her.

The noises coming from the outside caught her attention.

Frowning a bit, Violet headed there and almost bumped into the maid who was entering with a huge luggage.

“Young Miss, you've already arrived. We thought you were caught up in the traffic too. Is the Little Young Miss nearby?”

“Mimi's asleep,” Violet replied.

“Oh, I'll check on her. The Little Young Miss must be exhausted from the long ride.”

As the maid pulled the luggage upstairs, Violet proceeded outside because she could still hear more voices.

“Ouch! Be careful.” Freya screamed. “I swear I'm gonna fall.”

“Unless I let you go.” The guy held her up, spinning her in the air.

They looked so happy, their laughter echoing in the place.

Violet thought Freya wasn't gonna come.

How did she convince the guy to come with her?

“Hey, Vi…” Freya hurried to her, swaying and laughing.

Then she wrapped her in a deep hug. “Why didn't you tell me your heartless ex-husband is also generous? He has allowed Harry to come here and work. Which means…”

She trailed off, wriggling her brows and giving Violet a knowing look.

Violet glanced at the guy who came forward with Freya's luggage, looking so happy.

She sighed inside.

Why did she feel this sudden jealousy?

She didn't miss the feeling of being in love, right?

“I know he's handsome, but don't scare him off.” Freya snapped a finger in front of her, bringing her back to her senses. “It's creepy that you're staring at my man like that.”

Violet blinked.

She was also a bit doubtful.

That guy could pass off as a handsome prince from a fairytale. He didn't look like a servant to her at all.

“By the way, why's your perfume mixed with a cologne?” Freya sniffed her, giving her an inquisitive look. “Hey, Violet… Don't tell me you've been up to silly games with your ex-husband again.”

Violet coughed.

She covered her mouth and looked away. “I don't know what you're talking about.”

“Is that hickey on your neck?” Freya asked.

“Probably a mosquito bite-”

“What mosquito?” Freya sighed, giving her a helpless look. “Violet, I'm just afraid that you'll fall pregnant again before this agreement ends. Pity Asher’s heart, will you?”

Getting pregnant?

Freya knew that she wasn't gonna fall pregnant again.

After all, the Doctor told her that her womb was damaged after she gave birth to Mimi.

It seemed Clyde was the only man she was ever going to bear a child for, despite him being the cause of her womb’s damage.

How ironic!
