I Married My Ex-fiance’s Father
Chapter 50.
Chapter 50
For three days now, I haven't seen Harris in the house since I announced my new properties in front of him.
I wonder where he must have gone, or what he is even up to.
Harris isn't someone I trust so, his absence must come with a stupid thing.
And oh, it only remains a week and Jessy will be released from prison.
How time flies.
Maybe he left to prepare for her return.
Anyways,
I don't really care about them.
I am so busy with my company, and also my businesses.
In addition, I am preparing to welcome my baby too.
This week, Frederick wants us to start decorating the baby’s room before my delivery month, so I can have a lot of time to focus on myself.
And yes, he has chosen a room for the baby already.
The room closer to ours.
I love that room too,
It is convenient,
And we can hear the baby cry,
And also knows if someone is trying to enter that room.
Since the baby will stay with us for a few months after his birth,
We've decided to put the cradle in our room, then move him to his room when he is old enough.
That way,
Neither Harris nor his wife won't have the opportunity to attack him.
“Hang that over there.”
Finally,
The room is ready.
It is a shade of Blue, a boy’s color, just as Frederick had said.
“The room looks so pretty.”
He said and sighed deeply.
“It would have been prettier if it were a girl’s room.”
Funny.
Who knows what our next baby will be?
Maybe two girls,
Or a boy and a girl.
Well,
I have this feeling that we will produce twins again.
“Little dove?”
He gently tapped my shoulder.
“Can we have a baby girl next time?”
He asked, a hint of worry in his eyes.
“Sure. What do you think? Two?”
He laughed shortly.
“Let’s make it three.”
Hahahaha.
How will I hold three babies at once?
Frederick is funny.
——
Today, Jessy will be coming home from prison.
Oh, I can't wait to see how she has turned out.
She must have learned her lesson by now, I think.
And even if she doesn't, then it is up to me to deal with her and reset her brain again.
“When Jessy comes home, I want you to ignore whatever she will do to you.”
Like seriously?
Is he kidding me or what?
Even he knows that I will never ignore whatever Jessy will do to me.
“And if you don't and choose to continue with your stupid mission, then you will force me to retaliate.”
Hahahahaha.
Harris is a clown.
“Are you done talking?”
I asked him,
“No,”
Well,
He can keep talking to my invisible self.
Right now, I've got a lot to take care of.
“Are you done with the inspection?”
That caught Harris’s attention and he fixed his eyes on me as I spoke on the phone.
“That is good. And what is the condition of the estates?”
“Good. And oh, lest I forget. Are you done talking to the agent regarding the shopping mall?”
“The shopping mall?”
Harris murmured confusingly.
“Alright, we will go see him after the meeting today.”
As if he were waiting for me to end the call, he asked.
“What shopping mall are you talking about?”
How is it his business?
“Mine. Do you have any problem with that?”
His jaw dropped.
“Blair, what do you think you are doing?”
How?
“You are stealing from Dad and buying those properties. And you lied that the money is from your company.”
Hahahahaha
Really?
What a geek.
“And why hasn't your Dad raised an alarm that his money is missing?”
He scoffed.
“Because you have brainwashed him!”
Hahahaha
Harris is stupid.
“I have no time for you, Harris, because I have a meeting to attend. And oh, I think you should start investing your profits too instead of being jealous.”
I turned to leave, but paused.
“And oh, I have forgotten you have nothing in your name.”
I laughed at him and walked away.
After the meeting, we proceeded to see the agent who deals with shopping malls.
Luckily, there were two new ones available for sale.
After bargaining for a while, I purchased them and returned home.
Now I have 12 estates, and two shopping malls in name, the ones I bought with my own money.
“Congratulations, Ma’am. You came into this house with nothing, but you have a lot of things in your name now. It is so good to marry a rich man.”
What da!
The audacity!
“Excuse me?”
She looked up.
“Did anyone tell you I came with nothing? Do you have any idea who my Dad is, you freak!”
She gulped down and stepped aside.
“I am so sorry, Ma’am, I didn't mean it that way.”
How dare she?
A maid?
Wow!
No, she can't be the only one thinking this way.
I am certain that there are a lot of them talking behind me this way.
“How many of you are talking behind me?”
Seeing the angry look on my face, she went to her knees.
“Everyone in the house, Ma’am. Please forgive me, I didn't know it was all a lie.”
Whoa!
This is so lame.
How could they?
No problem,
I know how to deal with them.
“When Frederick returns, you guys should know how to explain it to him.”
“Oh my goodness, please Ma’am.”
She started drying.
But it didn't move me.
Servants should know their places.
They should know that whatever their bosses do in the house is none of their business.
And they even have the gut to talk about me that way?
“Why are you so gloomy?”
Frederick asked as soon as he entered the room.
“It is the servants, baby.”
He lifted a brow curiously.
“What have they done to anger you? Tell me.”
“They are talking about me behind me, baby. Can you imagine they have been saying I came into this house with nothing?”
He furrowed his brows into a frown.
“How dare they? You didn't come with anything. You hail from an Influential family, your Dad is well known across the city.”
He exhaled and threw his jacket on the bed.
“They need to be taught a lesson.”
Wonderful.
I know I can handle them myself, but because of my condition.
And I didn't want Frederick to come home and see that I exhausted my energy because of them.
