I Married My Ex-fiance’s Father
Chapter 51.
Chapter 51
Frederick gathered all of them in front of the apartment, and since they must have been told by the maid who let the cat out of the bag, they were on their knees, pleading.
“The way you guys fear me is how you should fear my wife too!”
Seriously, I don't like walking over people because I have more than they do, but these people have to be taught a lesson.
“Who started those rumors?”
Frederick asked, looking at them one after the other.
I also wanted to know, but none of them talks.
“This is the last chance for you to point out the person who started this.”
He said, but they remained quiet.
“Are you guys serious right now?”
I couldn't help but gasp in surprise.
Do they even know the consequences of what they are doing right now?
“In that case, you are all fired!”
I said angrily.
And immediately I said that, they started pleading.
“Please, Ma’am, give us another chance. We promise it will never happen again.”
That is too late.
“I want all of you out of my house this instant!”
Frederick thundered.
They rose to their feet and staggered around.
The boys were running to their quarters, while the girls were running to their quarters too.
And the person who had a slip of tongue stayed behind, my personal maid, shedding crocodile tears.
What on earth is she still doing here?
“Were you deaf when I gave the order, or did you just decide to play deaf?”
Frederick said what I wanted to say.
“I am so sorry, please Ma’am. I promise never to do it again.”
Pfft.
I don't trust and give people a second chance in my life after the first betrayal.
She was so close to me and knows everything about me yet, she backbites me with others.
Will I ever trust her again?
No way!
“When you are lucky to work for someone again, do not talk behind them.”
I waved her off.
When they were all emerging from the quarters with their luggage, Harris and Jessy drove inside the mansion.
Wonderful!
This has just turned more interesting.
“Where are they all going?”
Harris asked, watching them stroll out of the mansion sadly.
“I fired them.”
I said confidently.
He looked at Frederick.
“Dad, and you allowed that?”
Frederick ignored him as he was speaking on the phone.
“They are undisciplined and idiotic fools who think they can talk about my wife the way they want. I have sent them back so, you should send the other batch. And you should know, the new ones will be on probation for just one month. If they fail to comply with my wife’s rules, then they will be sent back.”
Awn,
I just love my husband so much.
“What da!”
Harris gasped.
“You mean Blair now has full control of the servants in this house?”
He glanced at his wife.
“Yes. And if any of you can not comply with that, find somewhere else to live.”
He pointed at them one after the other.
“That is…”
Harris cleared his throat and Jessy went mute.
How I wish he could allow her to say what she wanted to say.
“So you didn't learn a lesson in prison?”
Frederick snapped at her.
“I wasn't going to say anything stupid.”
Jessy said, lowering her head.
“Excuse me please, my little dove, I need to answer this call.”
He eyed Harris, gave them a warning look and walked away.
As soon as he was out of sight, Jessy scoffed.
“Your Dad is so annoying.”
She said to Harris.
“Of course, he is, that is why should not say anything that will annoy him now.”
She hissed.
“I swear, I hate him, Harris. He is so wicked for throwing me in prison when I should be mourning the death of my baby.”
She whimpered.
“Come on, Jessy, stop saying that.”
He placed his hand on her shoulder, but she stepped away from him.
“This is all your fault, Harris. If you hadn't walked away from the living room and had stood up for me, I wouldn't have been this humiliated. I slept in prison with criminals for a month.”
“How is that my fault? It was you who went too far. Were you even sure that Blair killed the baby? That was a false accusation, Jessy. The doctor said it wasn't Blair.”
Maybe they didn't know I was still standing there,
And even if they know,
I don't really care.
Their arguments soothe my mind, seriously.
“Are you taking her side now?”
She gasped.
“I have started suspecting you, Harris. I think you and Blair are up to something.”
Whoa!
“Come back to your senses, girl. I've got nothing to do with this sack.”
I snapped.
“Who are you referring to as a sack?”
“Who do you think I am referring to? It is Harris, your husband.”
She glared at me and bit her lips angrily, clenching her fingers into a fist.
“How dare you call my husband…”
“Stop it?”
Harris grabbed her hand which she raised in the air to hit me.
“Are you nuts? What if Dad saw this?”
He snarled at her.
“You will be thrown in prison for the rest of your life. Come back to your senses, fool!”
He released her hand.
“We aren't done, Blair. I swear, you will see the bad side of me.”
Which haven't I seen?
Ahh.
“Two can play this, you know. Let’s see who wins.”
Harris grabbed her wrist and took her inside the apartment.
Tsk tsk tsk
Stop playing with an angry serpent, Jessy.
Phew!
It feels so good to breathe in fresh, unpolluted air.
With all these scumbags gone, I can now focus on the next thing.
Fools!
Who knew they were lying behind me?
If they were given a second chance to stay,
Who knows what they would do to me?
Jessy and Harris would have turned them against me and even gotten me through the personal maid.
Let’s see what the new ones will come with.
