I Married My Ex-fiance’s Father
Chapter 59.
Chapter 59
Finally, what I have been after is now in my hands.
Harris and Jessy’s divorce is one of the happiest things that has ever occurred in my life.
My revenge on them is now final!
Ahh, this feels so sweet.
How I wish I had seen Jessy’s face when he made her sign this paper.
Oh, how fun it would be.
She must have been so disappointed that Harris did what I asked him to.
Well,
I remember notifying her that I would do anything to sever the ties between them,
And here we are.
Hahahaha.
“You look so happy,”
Fredrick said, wiping the water from his hair.
“Yes, baby. Guess what?”
He stepped closer, peeking at the paper in my hand.
“A divorce paper?”
His eyes enlarged, and he stepped back.
“Are you going to divorce me?”
His shocked appearance pushed me to laugh so hard that I had to support myself against the wall.
“Hell no, baby.”
He sighed in relief.
“I thought that was what you were going to do. Do not do that, please, you know I love you.”
Of course, I will never do that.
I've developed so many feelings for him, and departing from him means death to me.
“Guess what?”
I asked, but he looked confused.
“I have finally gotten what I want.”
“What is that?”
“Harris and Jessy are divorced.”
He froze for a few seconds, staring at me in bewilderment.
Then he stepped towards me, glanced at the paper, and smiled.
“Congratulations, my little dove,”
He pecked my cheeks,
And as if that wasn't enough, he drew me closer until the baby bump jabbed him on his belly, and he planted a kiss on my lips.
“Now my little dove can live in peace.”
He winked at me.
But I doubt that.
Jessy has left the house, and I am sure she will retaliate soon.
Harris too won't let this slide away,
He was tricked, and he must take his revenge too.
“Did I tell you that those thugs confessed?”
Uhn?
Really?
“No,”
He chuckled softly.
“Jessy was behind it.”
I knew it!
No one crossed my mind then except her.
“Who gave them the task was a friend of Jessy’s friend. So, it was the investigation that showed Jessy was the mastermind.”
She thought she was intelligent.
“So what are you going to do about her now?”
I asked him and he patted my shoulder then walked away.
“The officers are on their way to arrest her.”
Really?
Wow!
She isn't in the house any longer, but I know they would apprehend her on her way out of the mansion.
Frederick’s phone rang,
And when he placed the phone on his waist, his countenance changed.
Then he exhaled, nodded his head, and tossed the phone on the bed.
Unlike how happy he was before the phone call, Frederick is now angry.
“What is wrong? Baby?”
I asked, praying so hard it wasn't about Jessy.
I hope she hasn't escaped.
“About the accident,”
He said.
“Yes?”
“Do you know who was behind it?”
I shook my head, eyes fixed on him to mention a name.
“My stupid son, Harris.”
What!
OMG!
So it was he who did that.
Why didn't my mind go there?
And we were thinking it could be one of my business rivals.
“Harris is a fool, I wonder why he did that.”
He shook his head sadly.
I know,
He wanted to have me arrested so the company would fall into his hands.
“Well, he gives me no choice.”
He shrugged his shoulders, picked up his phone from the bed, and made a call.
“Arrest him.”
He ordered and dropped the phone.
“But baby, don't you think of what people would say?”
He hissed loudly.
“What will people say? To hell with that!”
He hollered.
“He wanted to put your life and our baby’s life in danger because of his selfish interest. Do you think I will ever let that slide?”
Hmmm
“Look, little dove, I can tolerate everything except you and our baby’s insecurity. Harris can go to hell, and people can say whatever they want to say, I don't give a damn!”
Well, it isn't like I am against it, I just wanted to see his reaction.
“Thanks for your care, baby, I love you so much.”
I hugged him tightly, happy hormones jumping in my heart.
Finally!
Now I have the house to myself, my husband, and my kids.
When Harris comes out of prison, I will make sure Frederick doesn't allow him into our house.
“Dad!”
Harris’s voice echoed in the house.
Frederick and I left the room, and he was trying to fight with the officers who had come to arrest him.
Jessy was with them, handcuffed.
“They are trying to arrest me, Dad, please do not let that happen.”
Pfft.
“Do you know I can disown you now? I am fed up with your attitude, Harris. How could you do this?”
“Do not disown him, baby,”
I rubbed his bicep gently.
“But I feel so much pain in my heart whenever he calls me Dad.”
Frederick glared at them.
“I give you sixty seconds to take these filths out of my house!”
He thundered, his voice piercing through the walls.
“Yes, Mr. Frederick.”
They gathered around Harris, handcuffed him, and took him away.
“When I come back, I won't take it easy on you, Blair!”
He threatened while he was being dragged away.
And Jessy, she glared at me with a warning look and she too was pushed away.
Finally!
“Forget him, little dove, that was an empty threat. As long as I am with you, nobody on this earth would hurt you.”
I trust his words.
“I know, baby, and that is why your love keeps increasing in my heart.”
He held my waist, staring deep into my eyes.
“You are the best choice I have ever made in my entire life.”
He cupped my face in his hands and lifted my chin.
“You are my best choice, too, baby,”
My eyes shut in pleasure as his lips touched mine.
We kissed passionately, fighting for each other’s tongues.
Gosh!
I love this man.
