Chapter 27

“Forge about that fool. Vivienne, I’m so happy right now. I don’t only have to be your manager again but also the head of the department. What a dream come true. My days of working in that company in over,” he laughed out loud.

“But are you sure you are going to be my manager? I mean, you can’t have to jobs at the same time.” Marcus hasn’t even think about that.

“Oh that’s true. But don’t worry, let’s see what Mr. Hawthorn is going to do.” He winked at her.

Vivienne was finally going back to the industry. And now, for the department created just for her.

“Your fans are going to be out of this world when they see you appeared on the screen.” Vivienne cupped her face in her palms.

“I’m so shy already, Marcus. I don’t know if I’ll he the good actress I was back then,” she said.

“Hey, don’t even think about that. Just take Sebastian’s house as a movie. Pretend that was one of your acts and everything will fall back to normal, okay?” she nodded her head.

“I have to go now. You know I’ll have to go to that company and hand over my resignation letter to them. My work at hER MAJESTY starts tomorrow.” He stood up from the sofa.

“That’s right. And when am I resuming?” she asked him just to know how far she has to take good care of herself before meeting Sterling.

“Very soon. But you have to take good care of yourself… wait a second, I didn’t even look at you well. Wow!”

“Vivienne, what have you done to your skin? I mean your entire self? Look how you are glittering. Even Sebastian isn’t going to recognize you when he sees you. You are more prettier than you were before you for married,” Vivienne scoffed.

“Stop flirting with me, Marcus. I know I am pretty.” She rolled her eyes and they both burst in to laughter.

And Marcus was right. She really took care of her skin and her entire body. She was now the Vivienne everyone knew.

No one was going to think she went through a lot in the cold hands of her husband.

“You should get going now, Marcus. I have to continue my spa.” She pushed him out of the house, waved at him and locked the door.

Vivienne started jumping from one side to the other excitedly.

She couldn’t believe she was finally getting back to the industry and a department just for her.

What a dream come true for her. She has always dreamed of opening her own company where people would come and partner with her.

But a random stranger she has never spoken to before fulfilled her wish for her.

“What should I do now to thank you for this?” Vivienne went on her knees, wiping the tears on her face.

Both Sebastian and Sabrina were going to be put to shame she knew it.

“I promise to give my best in to acting. I will never put shame on your face, Hawthorn.”

( What’s wrong with him?)

“You mean Sterling’s company? I think you are mistaken.” Isabella dropped the phone and went out of her room.

Her friend just called her, informing her of the new department Sterling introduced in to his company and they already put out posters for vacancy.

How could that be true? Her friend even told her she heard he created that department because of Vivienne Montague.

What was his problem and business with that lady that he wouldn’t just leave her?

She was just an actress who was no more an actress. Shouldn’t he just leave her alone? Must he bring her back to the industry?

Isabella sat on the sofa, waiting for any one to return home.

She couldn’t just believe it until she hear it directly from Sterling or any of his assistants.

“This house is so boring. When is he hiring new maids?” she sighed deeply.

Isabella supported her chin with her left hand waiting for them to return.

The house was so quiet and boring too. No one to shout on and no one to command and order around.

“Is Sterling in love with that woman?” She thought aloud but brushed it aside.

“How can he fall in love with her? Never. She was married before and Sterling has never married anyone. There’s nothing he will do with her,” she sneered.

The door knob turned and she stood up from the sofa. And luckily, it was Assistant Li who has returned home.

“Li?” She called, approaching the door.

“Hi Isabella. You are already home. I thought you’ll be with friends hanging out,” he teased her.

Isabella knew where he was going to. If she didn’t interrupt him, he would go ahead to remind her of what she did to the maids.

“Li, is what I am hearing the truth?” she asked him without going straight to the point.

Li already knew what she was asking about and so, he smiled.

“Yes, Isabella. Mr. Hawthorn introduced a new department to the company,” he nodded his head.

“And did he create that just for that actress?” he nodded his head again in affirmation.

“Wow! So it’s true. But what’s his business with that actress? Shouldn’t he just forget about her?” she gasped.

“Mr. Hawthorn will not forget about her, Isabella. Let’s just pray this ends well.” He patted her shoulder.

“But is he in love with her? He can only do this because he’s in love with her.” She dropped her hands on her waist.

“I don’t think so. He just want her in his company because people loves her. And don’t forget the amount of income that would flood in to the company when people discovered she’s back,”

Isabella nodded her head. That was true. But she still wasn’t convinced that there was nothing between Sterling and Vivienne.

“Where’s Sterling?” She finally asked.

“Oh, I left him at the company but he’ll soon be back. I’m hungry, did you make anything?” he asked her, rubbing his tummy.

“No I didn’t. Why don’t you go in to the kitchen and make it yourself?” she hissed at him and walked away.

Assistant Li scoffed. He made his way to his room too, ignoring Isabella.

He was even surprised to see her at home by that time of the day. She was always with her friends, hanging around the whole city.

In his mind, he would be so happy if Sterling was in love with Vivienne.

Maybe Vivienne will make him bring back the maids in to the house and she’ll be a good cook than Isabella.

Isabella waited for Sterling to come home but minutes turned in to hours without him showing up.

She wanted to ask him directly if he was in love with Vivienne Montague or not.

But seeing that he didn’t come home and she was sleepy, she went back to her room and fell asleep.

When she woke up the next day, she left her room and straight to Sterling’s room she went without brushing her teeth.

Luckily, she met Sterling trying to come out from his room.

“I waited for you yesterday but you didn’t come home on time. What held you out there?” she asked him.

But her mouth odor hit his nose, making him stepped back.

“Sterling, yesterday a friend of mine called and informed that you created a new department in your company,” he nodded his head.

“For Vivienne Montague?” he nodded his head again.

“Why did you do that, Sterling? Are you in love with that woman? Don’t forget she was once married before,”

Sterling scoffed. Why would he fall in love with another woman when he already fallen in love with another one?

And for her saying that Vivienne was once married. Wasn’t the woman he fell in love with once married before?

“You should say something, Sterling. I shouldn’t be the only one talking here.” She spread her arms.

Sterling stepped out of his room and brushed past her.

“I ain’t done talking, come back here.” She followed him down the stairs where Assistant Li was tying his shoes.

“Good morning Mr. Hawthorn.” Li bowed his head. He glanced at Isabella who was calling out to Sterling to say a word and he scoffed.

“Good morning Isabella, what is it you want from my Boss this morning?” he asked her but she ignored him.

“Isabella, go brush your teeth,” Sterling snapped at her and made his way out of the apartment.

Isabella didn’t even know she hadn’t brushed her teeth and she felt so ashamed of herself.

“Eww, no wonder the Boss doesn’t want to stay closer to you.” Assistant Li laughed at her and followed Sterling out.

“You…” She stamped her feet on the floor.

What a shame for her that Sterling told her to go brush her teeth. He has never seen her that way before until that day.

Isabella turned to look at the mirror behind her and worse, there was white drool on her cheeks.

She put her hands on her head and screamed loudly.

“Oh no!” She started running on the stairs, almost falling down to her room.

Isabella locked herself in there, promising herself never to make eye contact with Sterling that day.

What a shame for her. No wonder he was stepping away from her. She didn’t know if she should cry or continue screaming.

And worse, Assistant Li saw that too. He would continue making fun of her until he grow so tired.

( You are only wasting your time)

At the company, people were already flooding in for interview in to hER MAJESTY department. Sterling already knew that would happen but he didn’t know it would be so soon. Maybe it was because they included it in the announcement that Vivienne Montague would make her presence in to the department.

And when he got to the floor to his office, he wasn’t surprised to see Sebastian standing there. A mischievous grin escaped his lips when his eyes met with Sebastian’s.

“Are you here for the interview too, Mr. Penelope? If yes, please the department is that way.” Assistant Mike pointed to the left.

They all knew he was there to see Sterling but they wanted to make fun of him.

“Actually, he’s here to see me I guess.” Sterling raised a brow.

“Oh okay. Please this way, Mr. Hawthorn will be with you shortly.” Assistant Mike took him away from there to the waiting hall while Sterling went to his company to attend to some few people that came to congratulate him on his new department.

“Go get your boss right now, I’m already fed up sitting here.” Sebastian commanded Assistant Li who was sorting out some files.

But Assistant Li ignored him and kept on doing what he was doing.

“I am talking to you, Li. Or are you deaf now?” Li found that as an insult.

“Mr. Penelope, I think you should watch your tone. I am not deaf and it is better for you to remain silent and wait for Mr. Hawthorn to come attend to you,” he snapped back.

“How dare you speak to me like that. You are only an Assistant and your job is to be Loyal to everyone especially your Boss’s guests.”

“But the last time I checked, you aren’t his guest. No one invited you here. You came by your own will and we all know why you are here.” He dropped the files on the table.

“Mr. Penelope, we didn’t invite you here. You came by yourself and you will have to wait until my Boss is ready to attend to you. After all, I think you came to question him on why he opened the new department.”

Sebastian was so angry that he wanted to grab Assistant Li on the neck and strangle him to death.

How dare he talk to him like that? Wasn’t he too part of the respectable men that have companies in that city?
