The Billionaire’s Obsession
Chapter 45
Chapter 47
Has he came back to his senses and now convinced that she loves him? Isabella thought while sitting down.
And for Sterling to be smiling at her that way, made her believed her thought was correct.
“So what’s the date all about?” she asked him, taking a sip of the red wine to quench her thirst.
Sterling did same, still smiling. He wasn’t sure of what he was doing but that was the only thing he could do.
“Just want to spend some time with my cousin. Is that a bad thing to do?” he asked her.
Isabella giggled. But a part of her felt empty that he still sees her as his cousin.
Shouldn’t he at least refer to her as his lover for once? Even for a joke? That won’t cause him anything.
“That’s fine and it’s a good thing. If we continue this way, something might happen to make it real,” she giggled.
( Didn’t I told you?)
Sebastian couldn’t stop watching the video of Sterling defending Vivienne over and over again.
He couldn’t believe that. He thought Sterling wouldn’t step in. He thought Vivienne was going to quit her career the moment that came out.
But that didn’t happen which came as a shock to him. After all the money he spent to make that happen?
Sterling ruined the whole thing for him but he wouldn’t give up.
Vivienne’s movies must never see the light of the day. Sterling’s company must go down.
He released the tablet on the floor out of anger, making it shattered in to pieces.
Sebastian grabbed the curtain from the window and tore them apart.
Next, he went to the flower vase which was behind the door and kicked it with his leg.
Then, he went back to the desk and swept out everything on it.
“You are only going into injure yourself if you continue that way,” Sabrina scoffed.
She closed the door behind her, looking at the mess Sebastian has done.
“You know how much that curtain and this flower vase cost, right? Two thousand dollars and four thousand dollars. I have no idea you are this rich to break things out of anger,” she hissed at him.
Sebastian ignored her. He was so angry that he supported his hands on the desk with his back turned on her.
Only Sabrina could say that to him and go Scot free. No one dare say that unless the person is tired of living.
“Didn’t I told you it won’t work? But you went ahead to do it? Now tell me what you gain.” Sabrina folded her arms.
When Sebastian told her of his plan to create scandal of Vivienne and that company, she talked him out of it because she knew Sterling was going to take care of that.
But because Sebastian was desperate to see Vivienne stopped acting, he went ahead to do it.
“Tell me, Sebastian. Are you still in love with that woman?” she asked him for the Tenth time that week.
“I am not,” he snapped at her.
“Then why do you keep worrying about her? The only thing you’ll have to do is to see how she becomes a wretched being that no own wants to help again…” he cut her off.
“That’s what I’m doing, Sabrina. What do you think I’ll do with Vivienne again? She’s no longer useful to me!” He slapped the desk.
Sabrina shook her head. If there was a way she too would deal with Vivienne, then she would do it.
People already like the movie Vivienne was acting before it even get out.
What if they finally released the video? Everyone would divert to them and ignore their own movies.
She’ll crumble down. Her career would come to an end. And worse, she might end up like Vivienne of few months ago.
“Sebastian dear,” she sighed.
“I’m not in the mood, just leave,” he interrupted her.
But Sabrina wouldn’t leave, not when she wasn’t done with what she wanted to say.
She went closer to the desk, wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his back.
“Do not worry yourself about Vivienne too much. Why don’t we focus on competing with the company? I’m sure that’s what other companies are doing right now.”
Sebastian found some sense in what she was saying. Wouldn’t it be great to compete with them instead of wasting their time causing fake rumors about her?
He turned around, looking at Sabrina.
“I didn’t know you have sense like this,” he teased her.
Sabrina furrowed her brows in to a frown. What did he take her before? A dull person?
“Competing with them sounds great. But are you sure it will be the fastest thing to make Vivienne quit acting? Because I want something that would make her drop the career,”
Sabrina nodded her head.
“She’s still your wife, you still have the full authority over her to stop her from doing anything you don’t want. But since you aren’t man enough to confront and stop her, then competing will be great.” She grinned mischievously.
She knew Sebastian doesn’t like her talking about him like that. But that was only to fuel his anger towards Vivienne.
“I’ve never seen a wife that doesn’t listen to her husband like Vivienne. She’s out there, sleeping around with Mr. Sterling Hawthorn just to make him give her a space in his company.” She shook her head.
“What a shame that a married woman could do that. But don’t you think it is your fault, Sebastian? She wouldn’t have left your house if you had instilled your fears in to her mind.”
His fears? He scoffed. He did that but Vivienne was just strong headed.
She was afraid of him from the start when he started maltreating her. But things changed ever since that stranger he still doesn’t know started saving her from his evil inclination.
“What is your suggestion now? Let out the competing talk aside for now.” he asked her.
Sabrina was already full of mischievous tricks rolled up in her sleeve.
“Sebastian dear, why don’t you show up in her place since you said you already know where she lives? You mustn’t let her be alone. She’s still your wife.” She suggested.
“I don’t want to be seen with that woman. I hate her,” he frowned.
“Yes, that’s why I suggest this. You hate her and you want to bring her down. That can only be achieved now before you divorce her later.” she sighed.
“I’m so worried, Sebastian. I don’t know what else to do again.” she pretended to be sad.
Sebastian thought about what she said. He was also planning to go to her place already and that was a good opportunity.
“I’ll go see her.” He finally said.
Sabrina heaved a sigh of relief. And she hopes that works since the scandal didn’t work.
“I’ll have to leave now, Sebastian dear. See you later. And don’t forget to give me a heads-up about the outcome.” She pecked him on the cheek and strutted out of the office.
Sebastian went to the window looking outside the company.
Competing won’t only work like Sabrina had said. It would be better for him to lure Vivienne back in to his nest.
When he finally caught her, then he could think of the next thing to do with her.
He let out a short satisfying laugh before leaving the office.
“Go clean the mess in there,” he ordered his secretary as he walked past her desk.
( A meeting with the scriptwriters)
Two days passed by but Marcus still haven’t been given the opportunity to go talk to Sterling.
Whenever he confronted Assistant Mike about it, the response he got was Sterling was busy.
And for him, time wasn’t on their side anymore.
What he wanted from Sterling was a request to change the storyline since Vivienne couldn’t act the one the scriptwriters wrote.
Maybe his own might work and he would be given a lot of awards when the movie made it to the top.
Marcus was still daydreaming of how he was going to receive the award when a knock came from the door.
When he looked up, he saw the scriptwriters from the glass door.
“Come in,” he frowned as they walked in.
Marcus didn’t want to see those men because he already knew what they would be saying to him. For them to change the story line too.
“Mr. Marcus?” they greeted, each finding a place to sit.
Marcus nodded to them before asking them what he would be doing for them.
“Mr. Marcus, we thought and we came to hear your suggestion.” Mr. Kenneth started.
“Since Ms. Vivienne doesn’t feel comfortable acting the popular scene she was used to, why don’t we collaborate and bring our own ideas to create another movie?”
Marcus scoffed inside. Collaborate with them for the movie that Vivienne would act in? So they would take the credits together?
No way. It’s either his is chosen or theirs alone. There’s no way he would collaborate with them.
“Mr. Kenneth, by collaborating with you, what do you mean by that?” He slouched on the chair. Waiting for them to explain it for him.
“We mean, we want us to work together to bring a masterpiece. Both of our ideas can be used in one story, Mr. Marcus.” Mr. Cole explained.
Marcus hissed inside. That was pure nonsense. How would they mix ideas that aren’t even the same?
“Forget about it, Mr. Kenneth and Mr. Cole. There’s no way I’ll mix my ideas with yours. I don’t like your storylines, I like mine alone.”
They weren’t surprised because they already knew Marcus was going to say that.
“I have my own scriptwriters who would bring my ideas to life. Why don’t you go ahead with your own so we will see the person that would be chosen?” He suggested.
Since there was nothing more to say, they thanked him for his time and left.
As soon as they left, Marcus left the office. Whatever it is, he vowed he must see Sterling and talk to him.
“Mr. Hawthorn is busy right now.” Assistant Mike said, trying to stop him from entering the office but Marcus already made up his mind.
“Then I’ll wait for him here.” he said, looking at the waiting chair after the Secretary’s desk.
“No, you can go wait for him in your office. You’ll be sent for when he’s less busy,”
Marcus sighed deeply. He has already had enough of that. So instead of leaving, he did like he was going and then turned around and went inside the office bad quick as he would.
“Good morning Mr. Hawthorn.” Marcus bowed his head, ignoring Assistant Mike who was calling him back.
“Yes Mr. Marcus, what’s the problem?” Sterling folded the file in front of him.
“I’ve come to request a favor from Mr. Hawthorn Boss. And it’s an urgent and serious one,” he said.
Sterling glanced at Assistant Mike who was standing beside Marcus. He glanced at him to go and he bowed his head then left.
“Have a sit.” he pointed to the chair.
Marcus smiled in his head before sitting down on the chair.
“Mr. Hawthorn, seeing how Ms. Vivienne has been struggling with her scene, I want to suggest we change the story line. Maybe that is going to make things easier for her.”
Sterling lifted a brow then released it. For him, it wasn’t the difficulty of the scenes, Vivienne was only stressed and needed some time off.
“Mr. Hawthorn, I’ve worked as her manager for years back then and I understand Ms. Vivienne more than anyone does. If she doesn’t like something, she won’t say it out but will try her best to please her superiors…”
“And that is what she tried to do with the scenes but couldn’t. And looking in to what she went through in the hands of her ex husband, I think a simple girl with a kind heart character doesn’t suit her.”
